Ever since I converted from Acmlm+Erk, I've had a major problem with old threads concerning post layouts.

I know for a fact it's not something messed up with someones layout, handfuls and handfuls of old threads that were fine before the conversion were fine, but they aren't anymore.

I haven't seen it happen in awhile, but it just happened recently in a newer thread. It looks just as "messed up" as the other threads that have this same issue.

The problem can be resolved with switching to Viewing Signatures and Headers with "Auto-Updating", but not every user has that set.

I'd link to a thread, but my board, just like here requires email registration, so I'm not sure if any of you here would atually go through that.

So, I'm just unsure what's happened. I'm thinking it could be a database issue or something.

But, are there any global MySQL commands in PMA that I could use to set all users to be set on "Auto-Updating"? If there are, that would probably be the easiest thing to do for now, then just take away the option of viewing Layouts normally without updating.

In PMA, just go to users, search for signsep and set default to 3. This should set all new registered users to Auto-Updating or you need to edit all users via PMA, which is bad, because it would take as long as hell.

Yeah, I've already done that. So newly registered users have that set to Auto-Updating, but a good chunk of older users before the conversion don't.

I could go in and edit everyone, but yeah that would take awhile. But I thought there were global commands that you could use in PMA.

Well, I guess that's why I should actually learn some MySQL.

Or you could go into the SQL part of PMA and type in:
UPDATE users SET signsep='3' WHERE id>0
(you dont have to have the WHERE clause but i like too.) Anyways, it will set all users to signsep 3, it works just as a mysql_query but you dont need it at the start, or the brackets.

Ah, thanks. That's basically what I was asking for, just a SQL query to update everyone.

Still not sure what the issue is though.
