http://www.livejournal.com/users/io_burn/23021.html Well, according to this guy, all it takes is some simple addition of wire to the circuit board, and a ittle filing of the cartridge port for you to enjoy the real classic Gameboy games on you DS. Also comes with instructions for increasing the range of the wireless signals. No, I haven't tried it, but it seems plausible enough. |

I actually think this was debunked. And proven to be false, besides the GB carts uses a diffrent voltage than GBA. There is a small physical switch inside the GBA slot on GBA/GBA SP.

It is false because the hardware to actually run GB/GBC games isn't present *at all*.

I'd leave it to experimentation... but until the DS becomes cheaper, there's no way I'd experiment on mine.

This is military-grade bullcrap. I bet it'd be pretty easy to build an adaptor to allow GBC games to work on DS, though, but you'd need an emulator to do anything besides read the ROM and go 'oooh, numbery'.

There is a little GBC in that! Because of the Gameboy Advance games use CGB soundchannels too...unles it was only emulated on DS.

There's that, yes, but using the old sound system isn't enough to be backward-compatible.

The only thing I'm missing out on with my Nintendo DS is GameBoy Color games. I can play original GameBoy games on it with my flash cart and en emulator called "Goomba". Everything runs great! It's really nice! |
