| Personally, like like it very much. The Subliminal verses album has to be the best from them in my opinion. They don't do as much rapping (thank god). I think they matured their lyrics a bit. What do you think? Do you like slipknot? | |||

Uh, this album came out a long time ago and there hasn't been any "uproar" with their fans. And what do you mean "less rapping"? They never rapped in the first place.  Anyway, their last album was a lot better from their previous ones from a technical standpoint. What they really need to do is two things: 1) Drop the gimmick. It's lame. 2) Lose about 3-4 members because they're worthless. Then they would be a credible band. Slipknot is either loved by people who have no taste in real metal or hated by people who think they know real metal but just want to be metal snobs. For the record, Slipknot is nothing special HOWEVER....they don't suck either. |

| For me, Slipknot isn't about the music but the craziness of the people behind it. The stories about what kinds of digestive madness goes on behind those masks, and their tourbus shite-gobbling competition. And their stage show, which is just them lot having a great time on stage. Without the gimmick and the deadweight, Slipknot wouldn't work. Besides, it would be boring if Slipknot were just another credible metal band. Their songs are a bit poo, though I'll happily admit to moshing like a chimpanzee to 'Wait and Bleed' as a thirteen year old. But as individual musicians, a couple of them stand out as being quite talented. |
