ww: [quoted post] In other words, we can agree now?

Legious: Yes, I absolutely hated how they added "stealth" gameplay to TWW, and required you to use them quite often in the beginning.

ww: [above post] That, I can honestly say I agree with. Even though I've clearly stated I didn't really enjoy TWW, it wasn't a "horrible" game. It did have a large world, and when you were actually on the 'islands' it was fun. I just personally really thought that the whole Ocean theme kind of ruined the majority of the game. (I know I sound like I'm contridicting myself here. TWW wasn't really a 'bad' game, but I honestly will say it was is my least favorite Zelda game).

*changes soaked, sticky pants*

I agree entirely about TWW. The game didn't feel right. It didn't have the usual fun-but-challenging puzzles, it just had a whole lot of frustrating, repetetive crap. The sailing thing ruined the exploration for the most part. Worst of all the engine itself was just horrid! Like you have to time it just right when you want to play a song, what the hell? OoT's was awesome, they didn't need to change it. And of course, the graphics just didn't seem to fit (though the special effects and music were top-notch). Hopefully TP solves these problems. It's definetely got what it needs graphically (though I'd have to see it in action to speak for the special effects) but if it's still a pain to play, I give up.

One thing that was cool about TWW though was the way they masked load time via the sailing areas. It gave the illusion that every area was all linked together, because you could sail from one island to another across the world and never see a loading screen or transition effect. Pretty neat really.

Yes, that was pretty nicely done. How did they do that?
