You know what it is. IPB and VB have functions to report posts. why not Acmlm's Board?

The irony here is that about 50% of your posts would be flagged by this... heh.

Not to mention it's mostly only used on giant boards where moderators have a hard time keeping up, and this board can handle everything well enough not to need such a feature (not to mention you can usually just contact someone over AIM)

I agree with Xkeeper but I do believe this should be added because Acmlms only seems to be getting bigger... Not smaller.

I was working on a feature like this for my board... Might start that back up again.

I'm with Xk on this one, horrible idea.

And honestly Randy, this board isn't all that big compared to a lot others out there, sure it's the biggest "Acmlmboard" but that's obvious.

I could just see people using such a feature for no real reason and abusing it.

Don't see why. Even if this board is "small", it'd still be a good feature.

That's when we use this other feature called "ban".

knuck is right. abuse shouldn't really be that much of a problem. at least, it isn't on other boards.

Wouldn't we just see a lot more posts getting reported for minor reasons?
Then again, a few flamings occur without even a warning, don't they? The report post option could prompt people to bring it to a mod's attention.. which would be better on a larger board.
I think at this time the PM feature works just fine.

Actually I don't. Though based on the conversation, I assume it's a feature to alert ALL staff of a problem in thread X.

It sounds like a good idea. Expect to find it in the next software update.

Lol bass, I just assumed everyone knew. But yes, it is a feature that someone presses, fills out a little description of the problem, and submits, and all staff is alerted.

I think I mentioned this a while ago. Some sort of special staff forum that people could post threads in via a 'report post' link. Of course there would have to be some kind of restrictions on what and how often they could post... Though for the most part just adding as many staff as possible to your AIM contact list and telling someone who's on will do. There's usually someone, if not, wait.

How about make it by the number of posts a user has or how long they been registered or both?

Ole. Asides from that, there are a lot of whiny people here already, and you all know it. Too many hurt feelings reports would be filed.
