I think that it's a good thing that Wal-Mart is meeting the needs of specialized areas. Besides, I love Wal-Mart! |

i dunno--i'm not sure what makes wal-mart any different from target, kohl's and other such stores anyways, wal-mart is just expanding its market--since when that is wrong in a business sense |

Not that I necessarily disagree with it, but what's right business-wise isn't always right morally.

Seriously, Wal Mart actually does provide us with lower prices. I don't understand the hate againt Wal Mart. It's just a big company. Where would I be without Wal Mart? There are lots of wal mart locations, much would have been replaced with stupid overpriced crap stores if it never existed. if I need something, I take my ass to wal mart. It's that useful. |

Well, beyond their insustainable practises, and the problems with how the company is run. And how they have a big problem with censorship boards and how various other little issues. Yeah, they've got nothin'. Plus, I don't generally shop at mega-stores. I can get the same prices (lower, usually) at the ma and pa hardware store and the farmer's markets for most of what I need, and I can get my video games online through shops like zat. I've got nothing against Wal-Mart if it were a theory on paper, but I do have a problem with the realities that it presents. |

Well, some people have consciences. And they feel that what some people do is wrong. Maybe you don't. I don't know. You haven't really exhibited anything amounting to much in that way. But I'm not faulting you on that. You can shop where you like, others aren't going to go there because they have some morals that get in the way. I don't shop where you shop because the distance to it from my house is inconvenient for me, and I can find lower prices elsewhere.

Well, I don't needlessly look down on people and their "lack of morals" based on where the shop for merchandise. I look deeper than that. Shopping there doesn't condone the "omg evil empire" anymore than eating meat makes you condone improper livestock handling. I go to Wal-Mart because they have the lowest prices around, some flamboyant theory, and that's all it is really, just a theory, isn't going to send me or othes on a guilt trip. Again, there's nothing wrong, and that includes moral wise, with shopping at Wal-Mart. On a side-note, what are your feelings on the Red-Cross? 10 bucks says it's negative. |

ICRC is good. You know, how it helps to enforce the Geneva conventions. It's a good thing. |
