Ok!

I'll go for the Nintendo DS since I really like Nintendo games, the first great one for DS being Kirby - Canvas Curse and in the future Mario Kart (online), Animal Crossing (online) and New Mario Bros. will follow for example.

Also, the announced Square-Enix games interest me very much with games like New Secret of Mana and Final Fantasy III.

The PSP is a nice hand-held but way too expensive (games and console) in my opinion. I simply don't like to pay such an amount for a hand-held with mostly games I can play on a console too and with a battery that dies in 2 hours.

Although, I can understand that there are people that prefer PSP. Simply because the games on PSP are barely the same as DS games. It's all a matter of taste (and money).

The battery doesn't die in two hours, for your information. Unless the person with a PsP with a battery that dies in two hours, overly charges the battery. Its like a cell phone, if you charge it everyday, the battery gets weak. I can go days without charging my PsP (and cell phone for that matter).

Yeah, there are a lot of these falsities going around -- the battery does NOT last only 2 hours (I've seen mine read 6:00 remaining, or 3:45 if I'm playing a heavy game or whatever) and such.

That, and from waht I can tell, the load times are minimal, unlike some claims I've heard of 30+ seconds. Mabye 10 for the beginning of Lumines's icons, and from there load times are almost nonexistant (or extremely short)

Oh yeah, did I mention Ridge Racer kicks uber ass?

And that you can play wireless battle with only one disc?*

(*assuming you and the person you're battling against are relatively close, like a few feet, so you can swap the disc -- it does work, I did it; PM me if you want more info)

I was playing with a demo version of PSP at Futureshop. I was very impressed. The loading for the demo unit was less than a second. It took under 10 seconds to load Spiderman (which looked GORGEOUS) and the discs were good and sturdy. No chance of ruining them. Additionally, the racing games that are on it right now, Ridge Racer and Wipeout, are freakin' awesome. Lumines was even better. I think that the load times were 8, 12 and 7 for those games, in seconds. It is a great little system.

But they both fucking suck.

The DS's touch screen really makes a huge impact on some games...The minigames on Mario are awesome... I swear Warioware was made for the DS, the game is just so wonderful with touchscreen action... I badly want to play Yoshi's Touch and Go, it looks beautiful... And Rayman 2 is on the machine... So yeah

The PSP is ok, but I've yet to see anything that will revolutionise handheld gaming. To me it's just "more of the same".

The N-Gage? The N-GAGE is a brilliant machine if you look at the homebrew series 60 softare. Portable Megadrive, GBC and C64? Can't beat Symbian Smartphones

Oh, I didn't change that.

It's MARKET share is still vastly made up of drooling morons. It doesn't change the fact that after playing with it, I'm quite impressed with it.

Perhaps some reading comprehension guides are in order for Legion

loading-screens of 7-12 seconds? As a Nintendo Player, I'm disapointed, being introduced to loadingtimes under 7 seconds on gamecube, and no loadingtimes on all other Nintendo devices. I am Disapointed.

But as long there are no big loadingtimes during gameplay (Neo Geo CD anyone?), i should be happy, now only some good games and some testing expirienc of mine.

How do your Seconds tick then? rather short, no?
SSBM doesn't load that long. 10 seconds are longer than you think.
SSBM loads in about 2-3 seconds.
Not even rouge leader loads that long.

I still have one of those.

Aside from the atrocious battery life (at 6xAAs, too), if you bumped a cartrige even a little bit you could end up freezing your game. Not fun.

Aside from that (and the fact I almost never bump said cartriges) it does, indeed, kick ass.

*agrees with Imoto*

Maybe 3 seconds on mine, Ziff. Not exactly a huge load time that would make you get antsy or anything.
