I've been playing Super Mario World and I have beaten it in the past. I'm wondering if there is a level in that island just to the north of Donut Plains and to the west of Vanilla Dome. Somebody told me that there was a level there. Is there? Is it true that if you beat Koopa 100+ times you can go to it?

No, in the ghost house, fly over to the left with your cape, avoiding the boo's. There will be a platform. Land on it. Follow where it leads, and you'll end up past the wal in a corner where you can get 1ups. exit the door from that corner, cross the tape, and it will take you to the Top Secret Area.

I've always wanted an extra stage on that little island tio right of the map. Same as in Vanilla Dome where the four little rocks are with a gap in the middle. Looks so suspicious, huh?

No, you misunderstood me. I was talking about the island north of Donut Plains.

There's nothing there, as proven by Lunar Magic.

Sure does. That's supposedly where the Super Mario World cartoon took place.

Hmmm...if we are talking about secret levels, I seem to remember seeing a fifth switch palace in Bowser's Valley when editing the overworld in Lunar Magic. There was no way to access it though, and it was invisible in the actual game. Does anyone know why that's there, and if there's really a level there, or it's just some stray bytes on the map?

You're not missing anything. I checked it out myself. It's nothing more that a test level.

It's not like it's uncommon to see something somewhere when using a game editor that's inaccessable in the actual game, though. People leave things in the final versions of things all the time =/

My theory about the last Switch Palace:

A switch was originally planned to be hidden in Valley of Bowser. However, pretty late in production, they realized that it was located too late in the game. A limitation in the normal SMW (which Lunar Magic bypasses) is that the level numbers have to come in order. The vanilla secret levels have got the lowest numbers, since they're first (left to right, top to bottom). If some of the levels with level numbers higher than the switch palace's was finished, they would have to be moved if the palace tile was removed, which would require that they would have to change pipe destinations and such. It would be too messy, so they left the level tile there, but made sure that nobody would see it.
