They maybe won't bother about thoose games, or make them avaible for DS somehow.

It would be awesome if Nintendo made a new Zapper for Revolution. I wish I had one on my NES...

If the controller contains gyroscopes, emulating a Zapper would be quite easy, I think.

The original zapper is just a light sensor and a trigger. It wouldn't cost them much to put one into the controller.

Nintendo should bring the zapper back. With a wireless zapper and a DDR pad you could make a hilarious first person shooter...

Zapper could probably be done through some kind of adaptor to connect NES controllers. KawaiiImoto-e brings up a good point, too - what would be truly revolutionary is to get rid of crappy pointless region coding!

That's true for N64 and Gamecube, sure, but when was the last time you saw an NES or SNES game in a store? And if you did, it was used. As far as ports, good, that encourages them to make better ports with new features and improvements that would make them worth buying even when the original is available for free.

Region coding is on the outs, if only because of the advent of worldwide internet play. The same Animal Crossing DS card is going to be sold worldwide (I assume the first thing you do when you fire up the card is to select your language), Nintendo is even considering adding a translation feature to PictoChat specifically so people the world over can play ACDS with each other.

It can be assumed that any other game which touts worldwide internet play will be free of region coding. Otherwise, Nintendo has to waste money on altering their servers to account for each individual region code, unlock it during the online session and re-lock it when you go offline. Which would be fairly impossible; you could just yank the plug.

What interests me is that when Reggie was referring to Smash Bros Online, in an interview I read, said that he would "be pushing to make it go online". This obviously means that as of now, the developers probably haven't thought of making it online yet, either that or it's way ahead of what they're currently doing now. Either way, I'm going to love this game to death. I'm thinking about entering a tournament up in Seattle for Melee in late August.

Anyway, what also interests me is this other Zelda game that they have planned for Revolution. Maybe this is just me, but doesn't it seem a little early to be talking about a Zelda game being planned? Nintendo still has to worry about Twilight Princess and making sure that's the Game of the Year across everyone's board. However, if Metroid Prime 3 is anything like the first two, only with more usage for the tools you find later on and other minor gameplay tweaks, it's probably got my vote for Game of the Year for next year already.

EDIT: And because of WiFi, Revolution would be probably the best system for a LAN party considering the potential lineup for launch titles, barring Halo 3 of course.

You think two Zelda titles is too much? They're also working on another Zelda adventure game for the DS!
I'm not sure what happened to Four Swords for the DS, but I don't care for those games anyway! Bring on the adventures

Oh, and the DS one also doesn't involve Capcom in any way... Which is kewl

That might incur the wrath of quite a few people who liked the Oracle games and Minish Cap...or Capcom in general.

Regardless, back on topic. I'm really wondering how Nintendo could make it any smaller when it already is smaller than the other two consoles (LOL XBOX is huge). Besides that, by making it smaller, they're sacrificing power to their system. And I know that Nintendo has said that they don't concern themselves with being more graphically capable than Sony or M$, but I have a feeling that it may come back to hurt them in the long run.

And also 3 Metroid games for the DS:
- Hunters
- Metroid ... Pinball?
- And I've heard mention of a 2D sidescrolling Metroid in the works for the DS.

*raises hand* Say what you want about the Nintendo/Capcom/Flagship partnership, but they make magic together when it comes to Zelda.

Yeah... new DS side-scrolling Metroid... I guess it wouldn't even use the stylus. Map on one screen, action on the other. Simple. The pinball, on the other hand, was one of the WTF moments of E3 for me.

Another thought about the Classic Nintendo game service...

I hope that they manage accounts to remember which games you've purchased so that if something happens to your console then you don't have to pay for all of them again.

US Mario kart and PAL Mario kart can apparently play LAN against each other. As long you start PAL Mario kart in 60 hz mode.

Region coding have nothing to do with network cabilities...

I'm not expecting Nintendo to drop region coding, but I do wish they was as good as EA when it came to world-wide releases of games. (it's usually a diffrence of a few days, instead of months...)

Region coding wouldn't affect online play, no... It's still completely pointless though. It's not like my Gamecube is going to explode if I put the Japanese version of Smash Bros in it.

Pretty huge bump, but I don't really care. I get to mention new stuffz about Metroid!!!
The 2D Metroid will be called Metroid: Dread.

It's no doubtidly for people like me who rely on Metroid games for epic adventures and hidden powerups. The soon-coming Metroid Prime: Hunters is a true born multiplayer with no adventure mode what-so-ever. All single player consists of is going through the stages, collecting something before the other bounty hunters do... Either that, or kill tha' sunz-o-bitches. The thing that really turns me off this game though, is that it won't support WiFi world-wide gaming. Really... What's the point of this game if you know no-one with another DS? (Which is the exact position I'm in).

I'll probably buy Hunters, and return when I finish it in the day or two it takes.

But anyway! That's completely off-topic... It's still Nintendo, so shuttup!!

I was also wondering with the Revolution downloads, if say you run out of room, and you NEED to clean some up... Do you have to pay for the games you've previously downloaded again??
