I want to make a pokemon hack
and all i want to do is change the spirtes, and text, and mabie some of the battle animation... what are the best and easyest to use tools to do this? any tips?

Edit: the sprites i really want to change are the pokemon sprites and the trainer sprites mostly...

Very stupid indeed.

Sprites, as in, those seen while walking around, are good fodder for Tile Layer Pro and/or Tile Molester and text can be done with any old hex editor that supports tables.
