| Eliminations involve climbing the ladder to the top. Round Robin is very different. In a Round Robin, the winner of the match gets a 'point', and the losers don't get points but they stay in the game. After all groups have fought each other group one time, the one with the most points wins. In case of a tie, there will be a final tiebreaker battle, and in case of a three-way tie or higher, all groups but the winners are eliminated and play continues until one team has the highest score. In some ways, that's better because losing teams never have to sit out (unless there's a tie). Problem is, that might last for a longer tournament, so you guys will have to be dedicated. Yeah, there are pros and cons to both. Elimination: PROS -More fierce competition -Not as long but still fun CONS -Losers must sit out the rest of the game -Must have a number of teams equal to some power of 2 (4, 8, 16, etc.) Round Robin: PROS -Everyone stays in the game the entire time -Any number of groups is okay CONS -Longer tournament, in some cases too long -Harder to set up the Shops the right way In any case, unless we get exactly 8 teams, Elimination might not work. What's tough is that some of our coin-betters haven't been active in this thread recently. And yes, Peardian, we can't really decide until we have all the teams.
