| I've read in a few places that the new xbox will only be compatible with the top selling games from the original xbox, and if they aren't best sellers, they aren't going to work. This is one of the sources I've come across (I won't bother posting links to message board threads full of speculation on it, but that's how I came across this). That would suck for current Xbox owners, only being able to play the best selling games on their new system, when it's competitors are fully backward compatible. I hope this is a poorly written and misworded article and untrue. | That part of the article got me all *bleh* as well. Everyone that has already played the game isn't going to want to switch to the new xbox to play (and pay) for it. | Personally I prefer the PS3 design over the X360 (what kind of a name is X360 anyway...?). As for SquareEnix moving over to Microsoft, SE are only porting FF11 to the console, AFAIK SE are still exclusive to Sony for the series (FF12 has only been mentioned to be released for the PS3); now some people also thought that FF7 would be released to the PS3 after the tech demo, it isn't, all it was is a real-time (not pre-rendered) tech demo. Dead or Alive 4 looks amazing on the X360, Gear of War looks amazing on both the X360 and PS3, I'm still waiting on the Nintendo Revolution stuff from IGN though I'm going to love the new generation of consoles!
