Meh... I've always thought the X-Box was at it's peak performance graphics-wise. I doubt the power of the X-Box 360 will ever get fully used. That's just too much power.  Okay, so I'm being a fanboy here, but "Yay! More FPShooters, Racing and Sport games "Nintendo announced a while ago that their DS is also going to have free internet thingies, so if M$ were asking for more money to play their games online, it'd probably scare alot of people off. Online gaming is teh ultimate replay value bone-us! All of the next gen consoles will have almost the same special features. Free internet, wireless controllers. I probably won't buy the next installment of the X-Box series. The games is what it's all about for me, and I just don't like the games X-Box has to offer. Look at how many racing games like Burnout there were. FPShooters are pretty good online, but they're all the same, really. Sure there are a few exceptions, but still... And sport? *shivers* My opinion anyway. |

| yeah im willing to be the price wont be anything too low for the first while...but it will go down a little...I still have to get it...every game xbox live enabled, awesome gfx, and a free xbox live service included OUT of the box...so just connect, and go...hopefully the ps3 will have a better online feature this time, ps2's was a little weak...only very few games had online, and it wasnt the best.. | |||

| A concept that some of us need to understand is that the Xbox is pretty much made to appeal to the lowest common denominator. I think they do a good job doing that, personally. Nearly everyone who games that I know that isn't a hardkore gamuh like myself has or plays the Xbox regularly. Don't get me wrong, I love the hunk of junk, but then, I love all games equally. I'll play anything if I can find even just a little redeeming value. I juse love my Gamecube more, if only because it has games with characters I grew up with. I'm not sure if I could work up the effort to play some of my games if they didn't have that nostalgia factor. |

| *yawn* I bought the X-Box because I liked Halo. I liked Ninja Gaiden. I liked the games. I didn't buy the PS2 because most RPGs lose themselves on me because I tire of circular storylines. But then again, I like RPGs alot, I just NEVER finish them  I didn't buy the Gamecube because...Welll...My parents wouldn't have it. Next generation though, I intend to purchase all the systems. I'm a relatively hardkore OMGLOLOL FU no000bs gamer at times. I just don't have $$$ to feed the habit. |

| LIve enabled means that the system will connect to live every time you start it. Your friends will be able to see what you are playing and join you if the game allows. Yes there still will be old school single player rpg games. But you can/will be connected to live to show your friends what you are playing. Kinda like how they did it with Fable. It's Single player, and it's live enabled without content download. | |||

| I think the semen-white color for the 360 sucks (but aren't they coming out with black?)... Sadly I missed the special (not that I watch TV anymore anyway, but still) but hopefully MSwon't blow it. It's the only next-gen console we own (GC just doesn't have those 'killer-apps' I like, PS2 just... eh, and the X-B had some fun, addictive games) (note: I have tried all three) But yes, many games now log you into X-B live even if only in Single Player (Halo 2 does -- I see people in Campaign all the time) but regardless... I don't like the wireless feature. Yes, oddly enough, I prefer wires. Why? Wireless controllers tend not to have the vibrate, and the batteries also go dead. Not to mention if you have a WLAN, it'll probably interfere (or if you run 4 cordless phones, etc) and there's always a slight delay between when you push it and when it happens. Anyway, we'll see more of it later, I'm sure. I just wish they hadn't put it on MTV of all things... |

(Bet you anything MS' line would be "learn to love them" but that's another story. )As far as price goes, the "official" press conference starts in half an hour. I'd guess $299 but $360 wouldn't be out of the question if they want to be cute. |
