It looks like an Omanyte...seriously, it does. That's pretty trippy though, I think it's interesting what sort of stuff exists that we can't even begin to imagine.

That thing would be cool to have, if we get it up to the surface. The lack of pressure might cause it to explode or something...

This is pretty awesome. And I agree totally Xeogred, we know more about space then whats going on, on this planet. I say we search a lot more on this earth before worrying about "Mars." Wonder what kind of other things we will find in the near future. Kinda makes you wonder how many other species are out there.

Originally posted by Randy53215I love people who say that kinda stuff. First off, we want to explore other planets to try to find alien life. We already know there's an asston of it here on Earth. But if there's life elsewhere, that's cool. Scientists can't even say for sure whether or not there's life elsewhere in this solar system. Some are pretty certian there is, some are pretty certian there isn't. We don't know shit about our own solar system. There are billions of solar systems in the Milky Way galaxy. There are billions of galaxies in the universe. If you think we know more about space than our own planet, I'd like to know where you're getting this information. We haven't even explored 1/10000th of 1% of the universe. We've covered about 80% of Earth, and 75% of its species, I'd say. |

Ok fine you win, I'm just going by that "General saying" you'll usually here in Science classes and stuff. "We know more about space than our own planet!" I REALLY wish that were true. Because then we'd have made alien contact, have high-tech spaceships, be able to travel faster than the speed of light, and have solved all of our other problems through the advanced technology the space era brought forth. Man, it'd kick ass to orbit Jupiter. I bet the view is amazing |

True, but who knows, if we did that, maybe Earth would suddenly be engulfed by the Ocean itself? Since we didn't study over it enough. *shrugs* On second thought, we'd probably be living on Mars also if events were to unfold like so. (edited by Darth Xeodious on 05-11-05 11:30 AM) |

Originally posted by Yiffy Kitten ..whoa, isn't it a much smaller number than that? At least with species? Not that I'd say we know more about space, not even. I used to be real interested with space. Then I sort of came to accept that we're not going to be doing extreme travel in my lifetime, unless some random breakthrough happens, and it was a letdown. I want to see an alien. of course I could just LOOK AT YOUR MOTHER LOLZ (edited by Yoshi Dude on 05-11-05 11:34 AM) |

You never know Yoshi Dude, some "Ultimate-Godlike-More Powerful than the Human race-Alien race" could come out of nowhere and kill us all. It did happen in the movies. Aliens are always better than us. =\ (edited by Darth Xeodious on 05-11-05 11:36 AM) |

And if they were going to do that, why would they continue to wait to do so? Why wouldnt they just kill us now and get it over with? I'm a firm believer that if there is advanced alien lifeform out there, they're trying to stay out of our business so as to not give us advances we can't get on our own. We need to evolve and create at our own pace. You can't give a caveman a car and expect him to be a great driver (edited by Yiffy Kitten on 05-11-05 12:41 PM) |

I figure there's gotta be aliens somewhere. It's a big universe, and if life exists on one planet, it has to exist somewhere else. They're probably very very very very very very very very very very far away from us, though... |

makes you wonder at times, though...if there IS another earth-esque planet with human-esque people...wondering the same things, wondering if WE exist, contemplating wethere we're just a pipedream or not. Wouldn't that be funny if there was a whole other set of "earths" so far off being powered by their own suns and the such that we have absolutly no idea about...that would be so...interesting. I can't really think of any other way to go about saying it really
