Seriously though, byebye Jesper, hello ||bass. Time for a real coder to start fixing some of these security flaws and other issues!

I'd rather see as many coders as possible working together, myself.

That would require Jesper to:

1) Be a good coder
2) Be willing to cooperate
3) Be willing to share credit

Jesper has done the opposite of each of those. He's coded errors and also has deleted a thousand users. He's rejected work done by others. And lastly, he took Blades's name off the board credits because he wants as few names in the spotlight as possible - mainly his.

I don't have firsthand knowledge of this, but yes, all three of those traits would be needed in any potential coder.

Is that because the truthful side sucks to know what happened, and the other side is just BS to make it seem like everything's all flowery and golden?

Hmm...this thread has blown up nicely...

anyways, that answers where Jesper has been; so, maybe when the staff issues will be resolved, these changes will be seen, yeah?

Trust me guys, this is actually a pretty good explanation on Jesper's part - when he goes to dialup-land, he just tells us those very words and then leaves us in the lurch.

Plus his description's probably more interesting than mine, which I'll post in a bit. :\ At least it's productive.

All this irrational insulting, which I am convinced is driven mainly by personal dislike and mob mentality, is the main reason I left. Let's be clear: his coding mishaps are not the reason you dislike Jesper. And if there was not personal dislike, most of the people who have been rude and provocative in this thread might have had a modicum of civility in this situation. I'm not saying people shouldn't dislike each other. But all the angry, probing bullshit that serves only to offend people is a stupid way to deal with it.

The exact same thing happened when Valcion put up a goodbye thread, albeit from a different "crowd." I left immediately after reading the response in that thread. I guess that's a different case, because I still like Valcion as a person. In the case of someone whom I dislike intensely, which on this board's history is pretty much excluded to Manda... can I talk about her in a civil manner? Not sure, and I'm not going to try because I have no reason to. So I avoid talking about her entirely unless someone specifically requests my opinion. I guess that's just me and my hippy bullshit.

As long as I'm talking, there's another subject I'd like to mention. Long, long ago, Legion and I were good friends. Hi, Legion! I hope you read this, because it's my honest opinion on you. I should have told you earlier, but I didn't really have a good place to. Here goes: most of the time you're a great guy. You're funny and understanding. But then there are the times when you disagree with something. That something can be a person or an idea. Either way, you argue against that thing with the most horrible tactics I've ever seen anybody use. You choose your words carefully so that, rather than logically argue a point, you say things that anger supporters of what you're against. You're very good at this. I, myself, find it impossible to argue with you; I am unable to ignore your provocation and get pissed off instead. I've learned to just leave the argument at this point. And whenever this happens, I hate you. You're a terrible, terrible person. You manage to get away with this (not just with the staff, but with me as well) by being an amazing person the rest of the time. Now, I've been on IRC a few times semi-recently, and we've talked and joked and had a good time, etc. However, I haven't really considered you my "friend" in a while, because I like you half the time, and the rest of the time I can only stay completely away from you and ignore your actions. More and more often, I find it hard to talk to you during the "good" phases, because I have trouble forgetting about how much hatred you spread during the other times. I would, in all honesty, like to be your friend again. But I cannot possibly do that unless you can care to be a decent human being in the face of things you don't like. I'm assuming, rather selfishly, that you care about what I think. I like to think that this is the case. Well, I don't have a conclusion that wraps the whole thing up, so I guess that's all.

Thank you for your time.

Kay, but did you have to bump a thread that's been dead for about two months?

Furthermore, does anyone care about these exclamation posts anymore either? I'm tired of the bullshit melodrama...and not that I'm against your thinking or anything, Zem, but just keep it to yourself. Same goes for everyone. I'm tired of this bullshit and I think everyone is at this point.

Basically, get over it and go on with your life.
