The application should be in the following form:
Position of Programmer

Name:
Age:
Sex: (and if you put yes please here, you'll get disqualified)
Area of expertice:
Skills:
Highest Obtained power level:

Recommendations: (you need one vote from me or Acmlm, and one of the current admin staff to even apply)

What languages do you have experince:

Time to dedicate to Acmlmboard:

Past programming experiences:

Reasons you think you will be a good admin, what you plan to accomplish as an admin. This must be AT LEAST 4 paragraphs (10 sentences to a paragraph) Yes this is a lot. but this is a JOB not a STATUS symbol.

NOTICE: This is not a guarrentee of admission. Acmlm and Emuz have the right to deny or accept anybody over anyone else for whatever reason. If your not a programmer, than please make something in PHP before you submit. Sample code submittion is recommended highly.

Any non relevent threads or 'jibber-jabber' will disquallifiy you and possibly lead to adminstrative action. One application per person. This means don't post in other threads for other positions. Go for the Position you want to get. Admin positions will be under tight scrutenty and as such will allow you to apply for one other job, but any pointless applications to admin thread will be a cause for disqyalification.

Good Luck...

Name: Katie
Screenname: Kasumi-Astra
Sex: Female
Area of Expertise: Board feature creation, board concepts, colour schemes.
Skills: Knowledge and experience of the Acmlmboard code, regular use of photoshop for web graphics, good knowledge of web design principles and practices.

Highest Obtained Power Level: Full Moderator - Acmlm's Board; FTP Access, Local Moderator - Final Fantasy VII Citadel; Board Owner - Own board and personal dev board.

Languages I Have Experience With: HTML, SQL, CSS, Java, Python, PHP, C++, Javascript.

Time to Dedicate to Acmlmboard: For small features, improvements, possible maintainance: 0-1 hour every night. For major new features: 2+ hours week, depending on nature of features, importance to the board and pending on university placement.

Recommendations: Jesper, ||Bass, Grey, Windwaker (Pending others. If you would like to support me and I haven't asked you, please PM me)

Submissions: On request via PM.

Past programming experiences:
Currently working on converting the board's colour scheme system and board layout to CSS.
Projects at uni have included:
- A 2D skiing game in Python
- An ATM program in C++
- A Chatroom in Java
- A Database manipulation website using HTML, SQL, Javascript and Perl
- A Database design project using normalisation, dependency diagrams and database design principles.
- A log file display script, using Python and regular expressions to interpret a log file, and build an XHTML document formatted with CSS to display information.

I also run a site for my anime society and an Acmlmboard for discussion.

What I hope to accomplish as a programmer:
From early on in my time at Acmlm's I've been readily participating in the future of the board. I enjoy coming up with new and original ideas for the board, functional, cosmetic and recreational. The current project that is underway is the conversion of the board's colour scheme system and board layout to CSS. This work has been undertaken on my own personal devboard, which I invested in new hosting facilities to set up. As a work in progress, I managed to convert 99% of all layout attributes from PHP variables to CSS classes, although it is still at an early stage. If I am given the official role as programmer, I would like to bring this work to Acmlm's board when it is finished.

In the past I have also found original ways to solve problems. At Square Moon, I gave all staff members the ability to ban a user for an hour, in the case of abusive users. This meant that staff could keep nuissances at bay until the ban could be reviewed by an admin. I plan to bring helpful ideas and solutions to Acmlm's although only ones that would fit the context of the board (nb, not the example I mentioned ).

Jesper has done a truely admirable job in improving the board from a staff point of view, and has implemented countless security solutions that keeps the board safe every day. He has pledged that once the functional improvements have been made, that his attentions would shift to the "fun" aspects of the board. It is very important to me to be a part of that, to deliver on my promise to make those fantastic possibilities a reality, and to take a step towards that mythical 2.0.
Acmlm's is a unique board. It's grown beyond it's ROM Hacking roots. It's a board for people who like boards. It's the board user's board. It's the Fun Posting Experience.

The unique nature of our home demands a fresh environment, and I plan on helping that keep growing.

NB - I hope my past experience and what I want to do with the board speak for themselves as why I would make a good programmer. Personal attributes have little affect on how well someone codes, so I put my effort into explaining what my plans are. Thanks- Kass

Highest Obtained Power Level: Admin - Acmlm's Board; FTP Access; PMA Access

Languages I Have Experience With: HTML, Java, PHP, C++, ASM

Time to Dedicate to Acmlmboard: Many hours per week (seriously alot)

Recommendations: Emuz

Past programming experiences:
- Web design
- Game design
- WebBoard design (this board)
- DB administration (this board)
- I don't even know how many C++ projects
- ASM hacking (tRO)

I'd really like to think I've already proven myself to most people at this point. I've done coding work for this board already. I've been handling regular DB and server maintenence for this entire board since we moved servers. I'm also currently in the middle of implementing (for this board) the so-called forum-specific-ban at this very moment. I'm known to take my work very seriously and never abandon a project. I'm looking foreward to hopefully (finally) getting together a small development team for this board so that we can move foreward with cleaning up the codebase and adding a slew of new features I've been working on recently.

Name: Nicholas Alexander Sharp a.k.a. "The Punisher" or "SyntaxLegend".
Age: 15 (16 in June).
Sex: Male
Area of expertice: I tend to take care of my code, I try to hack it when ever i can with my limited hacking abilities. I also have good grammer.
Skills: Well I like to listen to what features are good to install based on a majority. I have a 'friendly' personality at times. Mainly when i'm not angry....
Highest Obtained power level:
  1. Admin - Antireality
  2. Admin - TEKHacks
  3. Full Moderator - Vizzed
  4. Full Moderator - XeoGaming
  5. Admin - Ice Board

Recommendations:
  1. Randy53215
  2. Davideo7
  3. Ice Man
  4. Chris
Others Pending...

What languages do you have experience:
  1. [X]HTML
  2. PHP
  3. MySQL
  4. CSS
  5. Visual Basic
  6. JavaScript [Really Basic]

Time to dedicate to Acmlmboard: As much as I possibly can.

Past programming experiences:
  1. Anti-Reality - Feature Creator
  2. Multple Boards - Item Shop Creations
  3. Various School Projects

Reasons:
I think I would make a reasonable programmer because it is what i want to do for a future career. And just because of lack of experience does not mean that I am bad. It means i should be given a chance. I would be more than happy to have a month trial of some-kind and then be decided afterwards. I also wouldn't mind joining Josh's DEV team.

Position of Programmer

Name: Daniel Poissant
Age: 24
Sex: Male

Area of expertice: Sys Admin, Project Manager, Management, Developper, Code writer, Documentation Writer, Analyst, Teaching, etc

Skills: Can write pretty much in any language; extensive knowledge of databases, (SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle, MySQL, MS-SQL, MS SQL Server), PHP 4, ASP, Javascript, Developing forms scripts, etc. (All Advanced Level)

Highest Obtained power level: Administrator Acmlm, Admin at many other AmlmBoard over the years (TRC's old board, etc), Administrator CerberusBoard (private), Administrator Realm Of ArenaNet, Moderator Foredoomed-mansion (FUDForums), Moderator TDIclub, Moderator VWQuebec, etc

Recommendations: ||bass, Acmlm (pending), Kasumi-Astra, Yiffy Kitten, Jizuko, Elric, Legion, windwaker

What languages do you have experince: PHP, ASP, Javascript, HTML, XML, Java, C (hardware/software), C++, VB, etc (All Advanced Level)

Time to dedicate to Acmlmboard: too much free time.

Past programming experiences:

Past AcmlmBoard Development
Industrial management application (industrial, 200+ employes, 50 daily shifts scheduler)
Commercial management and compability application
Commercial Webdesign
Internal web interfaces.
Cellphone development (J2ME)
PalmOne development (J2SE)
Microcontroler development (hardware)

The AcmlmBaord development has been on hold for way too long. Good programmers like me, |bass, Rydain made one nice trio. With us, you're sure to get development done efficiently and quatity stuff too. Just like ||bass stated, he's looking for a small elite team that I do concurs is the best way to develop applications nowadays (based on my experience) A too large tea normally creates havoks in the management. (My the time you've coordonated a team of 9 people, a team of 3 efficient people is normally halfway done. So far, that's pretty much what I have to say. More to come if I get more ideas.

Position of Programmer

Name: Steve Carell
Age: 19
Sex: Male

Area of expertice: anything and everything.

Skills: can learn any language imaginable in a matter of days. PHP, PHP 4/5's instantiation of MySQL commands, Javascript, XML, XHTML, HTML, CSS (all versions), relational database management, RSS, RDF, XML, XUL, XMB, XPI... anything.. seroiusly.

Highest Obtained power level: Like it fucking matters: Zophar's Domain staffer, board moderater+administrator. i feel that these previous positions are in no way related to programming skill and are therefore irrelevant.

Recommendations: nobody on this board. because everyone is pretty much a giant douche.

What languages do you have experince: name something, i dare you. i have experience.

Time to dedicate to Acmlmboard: it depends. if you catch me when i'm not smoking pot or drinking, you're in luck.

Past programming experiences:

Web design for various companies,
the Mozilla foundation,
personal work.

let's face it, the current incarnation of the acmlmboard is total shit. It needs a complete reorganization of code and developers. if you disagree with this statement, you're part of the problem. so stop fucking things up, fag.
