Yes there is. You will need to buy a flash cart. They are used to take SNES games from the cartridge, and put them on a computer. You can also take the games from the computer and put them in an empty cart (not quite sure how this works ![]() It's possible, thats for sure tho ![]() |

Does that mean it's also possible to play some of the more sophisticated Super Mario World hacks?

yup--you just have to load up the hacked ROM instead. After all, the SNES can't tell the difference between original data and hacked data ![]() |

I was more concerned with the fact that some of them can be quite large in size. How much does a 64M cart store? I doubt it stands for 64 megabytes.

I think you can play SDW:TLC perfectly fine on a NTSC SNES. Not a PAL SNES tho. They are different speeds, and the NTSC (or American) one is faster. And SDW:TLC is the largest hack I know of![]() ![]() BTW, SDW:TLC is 6MB, and it should play fine. Most hacks are 512KB-2.00MB anyway, so you should have no probelms ![]() 64MB may stand for megabits, but I'm not to sure on this ![]() ![]() (edited by Keikonium on 05-10-05 07:56 AM) |

It should be 64 megabit, which is 8MB. The real problem is expansion chips... If you wanted to play, say, Mario Kart, you'd need to use a game which had a DSP1 in it. SMW doesn't use any though (nor any hacks to date that I know of ![]() |
