Heh. Last question, and I've heard it before. How anticlimactic

Nope, the parachute wasn't for the money. He was able to just hold onto the bag of money and keep it with him.

He then instructed the pilot to take off at a fairly low altitude towards the original destination. When they were over a deserted part of the country, he took the money and jumped overboard. He was never found.

Why did he need two parachutes?

He led the authorities to think that he was taking a hostage with him, so that he could be sure they wouldn't tamper with his parachute.

Answer: The creator of the thread decided that the thread was not worth his time anymore, but then one user decided that he should continue it anyway, so he blackmailed the creator by taking all his posts and threatening to spread the answers everywhere. The creator gave in and made more questions. Therefore, we can conclude that the user was named Kefka. Do I get a point for that?

It looked as though she had accidentally put the gas on and forgot to light it, so It was put down as an accident. In fact, it was murder... how.

The murderer turned on the gas and opend the window. When the victim came in later and shut the window to keep the breeze out, locking it by habit or perhaps she knew someone was wanting to kill her.

The sister is the murderer, she lied about seeing her sister enter the room alone in order to keep the murder a secret. In fact she went into the room and turned on the gas while her sister wasn't looking. When the detectives asked her she said she saw her sister enter alone in order to make them believe the murder was an accident.

The maintenance guy,
He was called in to fix the gas earlier and didn't fix it properly and as a result there was a leak?

Her husband used a hook on a rope to turn on the gas from the roof by droping it down the chimeny. The woman was sleeping at her sister's house cause the couple got into an argument.

Now, we have one point for ETG, but there is another way she was killed.

Re read the problem, and draw info from there in which to determine the answer

It doesn't say that the husband didn't enter the room,
Therefore the husband entered the room before the woman entered turned on the gas and left, when the woman came
in she locked all the doors and windows and went to sleep unaware that the gas was on.
Either that or the husband stuffed around with the gas fireplace so that his wife could turn the gas on but not light it.

I think he hid in the room, suffocated her with a pillow, then turned on the gas just before he snuck out.

Well, so far LA is the closest in guessing. There is something about the fireplace that caused her to be gassed, but nothing was tampered with on the actual fireplace.

The Husband did something to put the fire out on the fireplace while the woman was asleep, he left the gas on though.
