One monster I had some problems with was EvilWall in Final Fantasy IV. Others were harder, but I'm almost always at a high level. But when I played Final Fantasy IV for the first time, I wasn't at a very high level, and I found EvilWall to be pretty hard.

Omega weapon from 8 and Ozma from 9 are the hardest, and most annoying final fantasy foes i have ever fased... I have beaten Omega, with a lot of difficulty... But Ozma is still being a right royal bitch...

Originally posted by Jack-Al Heh, same thing here, since a guy got the US copy and had the fitting NTSC adapter to make it play on a PAL SNES FF IV was was my first RPG ever besides the crappy Final Fantasy Mystic Quest (Mystic Quest Legend in Europe) I had already trouble with the cave ... those Trap Doors with their unblockable deadly "Disrupt"-attacks. .. I used tons of Life1 items in that cave The Wall boss got really nasty, since you thought, "Yeah, I' safe, time to leave the Crystal room and that dungeon ", but THEN the walls attacked you; and, yes, the exit spell was blocked of course (edited by Gandalf The Grey on 04-21-04 02:45 PM) |

Demon's Gate isn't that hard if I can beat it, but it's certainly a challenge. With the level you are at in the game, and the attacks he uses, it's extremely tough to battle it if you're at a low level. Of course, you'll have gotten Big Guard from the turtles on the coast of Gongaga Area. That makes things a lot easier. I've beaten Chupon as well. It takes a lot of luck and planning too. I think he appears along side Airforce as well. Final Fantasy VI has a habit of stringing boss battles together. This makes it particularly tough and stressful. I find Phantom helps, by making your party disappear. This helps a lot. The hardest bosses I've heared of are Emerald, Ruby and Omega from Final Fantasy VII and VIII. I know there's an optional boss in X as well, and it's tough as nails, but I don't know what it's called. Omega is the hardest out of the three I mentioned, but I haven't beaten any of them. Yet |

Hardest monster has to be Malboros for me. I seriously think that they are purposely making them more annoying every game. The hardest boss was demons gate in FFVII. Even though I can slaughter him now, he was a tough little bugger the first time I got to him. My longest battle was with Nemisis in FFX. I think it took me about half an hour with 2 superpowered characters, and quick-hit. After that it was Neslug...... It took me about 25 minutes to finally pummel him into submission. |

Does Kingdom Hearts count? Cause if so, I'm changing my boss to KH Sephy.
