| Its a long grueling story I won't bore you with specifics on...but he plans to kill himself before may 5th, no amount of convincing, calm rational conversation, or reasoning seems to work for him. He brought up the argument by saying, and I quote, "This world is alien to me, and I don't belong in it. I don't want to belong in it." I have been trying to convince him now...and my efforts are all fruitless. This wouldn't be the first time one of my friends has done something likje this...though it'd SURE be nice if I could prevent it this time. Things aren't looking good. I have no answers. Tell someone. Plain and simple, tell an adult, an authority figure, anyone who'll get him to safety. If he's serious, you've just saved his life; if he's not, you've taught him not to screw with the emotions of people who care for him  . |

Even thought the vast majority of the time the suicide never happens, it should be addressed. At the very least your friend could probably use some therapy and/or counseling. Assuming you are in a high school, go tell a school administrator ASAP. Your friend might get mad at you, but it is better to be safe. I know that I am pretty much saying the same thing as Silvershield, but again, it is better to be safe. And I'm sure you already know that, Majin  |

| Majin, has he told you how he is planning to do it? And have you been talking with him all this time? People who tell about what they are gonna to do are more likely to actually commit the act because they have mediated upon it. If your friend goes to the same school as you, then I suggest following Kefka's advice there. Still, I'm... not an expert on this type of thing, but you could always call the Suicide hotline... (Should be in the phone book or something, I believe. I don't exactly remember) if you need a greater bit of help. I wish that I could be more help with this, but if the world is alien to him, did you ask him why it was? |

| Ya, the suicide hotline should be in a flap in your local phone book. I believe that there are little business-sized cards with the hotline numbers on them (Such as poison control, suicide, police, etc) | |||

I'd call in an psy-ki-a-trist (can spell it so i'll word it out). Mostly these types of people are attention seeking or feel depressed, i'd ask why he had these thoughs and would try to add a postive outlook towards it. I'd also compare the problem to somebody they knew so he/she would know they weren't the only one. e.g I'm ugly, you would say something like, 'look at ken he is ugly but he lives with it, he has lots of mates and is a man slut' |

| If so, let him know what he would miss. I had a really bad week once, and almost fried myself. Only reason I didn't was because I had loose ends to tie up, and eventually I forgor about it. Try and rope your friend into something he ca't abandon until it is done, kinda like obligating him to stay alive. |
