| Ok, my best friend, Tiffany, rode the bus home from school yesterday...and another on of my friends who likes her (kevin) was waiting at her bus stop hoping she could get into his car so they can hang out or somthing, tiffany said she would but kevin said make sure with her parents, she faked a phone call to her parents and rode off with him, then about 3-4 hours later everyone was getting worried...no one knew where she was....people started calling other people to find out where she was...then my cousin called me and told me she disappeared again...i was like "what the hell she was there?" and he said "yea she stopped by and i was going to call her parents without her knowing since she dident want to go home..then after the phone call he walked out side...and she was gone" she is still missing and worse of all.....latly there has been several murders and kidnapps and rapeings in my naieborhood |

| I don't want to be the devil's advocate or anything... But your friend has lots of traits which indicate that she could be lying... First of all she could say she was raped to justify for the fact that she was hiding in that vacant house -- perhaps she did not isolate herself because she was raped, and just gave that as a reason, to evade punishment. Moreover, most rape victims who are trying to hide what happened to them won't try to get attention by being reported as missing, quite on the countrary. When she had to blame someone, she did... But let me tell you, rapists nowadays don't go "if you tell I kill you" to 16 year old girls. At that age, they are killed, if she really was raped, it was most likely so called "date rape." From your description of her really, the fact that you, who indeniably know her better than me, think she went there to be free from her parents, shows that her home isn't exactly a favorable environment for her to be mentally stable. Kids with strict parents do stuff like that, they do drugs, they smoke cigarettes, they have sex at young ages with people much older than them (girls especially) -- what if she commited the banal act of succumbing to peer pressure and all that teenage angst and had sex with the guy, ended up emotionally scarred because he was much more experienced than her, she might have been scared by how fast he went with her... Legally, it would have been against the law for the guy to have sex with her in the first place, but once again, with parental consent as far as dating goes there shouldn't be a legal problem. I'm not trying to say that she automatically lied cause she's just another teenager, and I have to admit that I'm going pretty far with this, it's just that's there's been lots of debates about that particular subject in france when a 20 year old woman confessed that she sent her school teacher to prison years ago by accusing him of rape. A lot of factors have to be taken in mind when considering an accusation by a minor... |
