OK, you know how you can enter an AIM conversation with someone by clicking on their screen name in their profile on Acmlmboards and some other boards. Is there any possible way to do something similar with MSN or Yahoo IM names? I'm not familiar with either IM service.

If you mean for here, then yes. It's very simple to do.

All you have to do is add in variables, then get all that link junk.

Elric did a tutorial on adding Yahoo. I could never figure out what the link was for MSN though.

MSN uses some javascript to do the job. I'll try and find it again.

Yeah, you can probably find it on phpBB boards. I never figured out how to put it in the Acmlmboard code correctly though.

It's not Acmlmboard. It's a board system I'm developing from scratch. The fields are already in the database, I just need to know how to create the links.

There:
"javascript:MsgrApp.LaunchIMUI('email address');"
"javascript:MsgrApp.LaunchAddContactUI('emailaddress');"

Note, this is not mine. I took it from an older post in the Acmlmboard Programming Forum.

And I Heard it's IE only.
