I opened up Firefox today when I turned on my computer and all my shit was gone. My homepage is usually Google, but it was the Firefox start page. And also, all my settings, but more importantly, my bookmarks were all gone! I had some pretty important ones, too. Is there any way to restore my bookmarks, and what happened?

This is probably better suited to "Hardware / Software". I'm not sure what happened, but there was a recent update of Firefox -- did you update it?

Improper shutdown of computer and/or crash?

[I should know, the main reason I dislike Firefox is because I had one minor registry crash and the entire thing stopped working -- this leads me to believe that a small fKitten Yiffer would cause all settings to corrupt]

I had a similar problem today... I reinstalled Windows and thus Firefox, and at first it worked, but after a few reboots the entire interface stopped responding. I fixed it by renaming the old profile and opening it again so it would create a new one. Kills all your settings, but I didn't have any anyway.
