The DDR card (Memery chip) is messed up, is there a way to fix it?

You mean DDR RAM? Well, I think you have to replace it. You can always check if it's probably connected but... How do you know that it is messed up BTW? Is it an error who appears when you start the computer? |

Clean the connectors and slots, and make sure it's not wet. Otherwise, no. Although it might not be the chip at all. Or did you mean something related to a certain dancing game? |

His PC is a costume? I am going to try to translate into English (it's obviously not his primary language): His PC is custom built. He obviously knows nothing about computers, using a 2.6MB bitmap image for his post background... |

Just gonna bump this so he can find it when he gets back, and ask him what the error message is. Is it just a series of beeps?

Uh...you know...you keep saying DDR...and I'm gonna keep thinking that you actually own a DDR machine. Just say RAM. At least we know that you have DDR RAM but...seriously. If it's a series of beeps...and the system isn't loading or anything like that...I'd say it's either bad or it's not hooked in properly/loose. If that's the case...get some replacement RAM. |

Count the beeps (should be 2 or 3 series with a pause between) and look it up on Google along with your board manufacturer, you should be able to find out what the problem is. If it is the RAM there's not much chance you'll be able to fix it, just take the offending stick out (and if necessary, get a new one; if that doesn't work it might be the board itself). |
