Every song on Nevermind is overrated (Except Come As You Are, that one will always be a classic), period. In Utero is MUCH better.

You have to remember that we just got out of the 80's. Kurt had an idea in mind, but to make it appeal to a crowd that was used to blazing fast guitar solos and ten-minute-long songs about fast cars and hot girls, he had to do certain things to his music.

For example, he plays the "Smells Like Teen Spirit" solo almost entirely on one string, which involves large jumps from one end of the guitar to the other. It's really not that hard either way, but he does it to make himself look like an awesome guitarist, simply because people at the time wouldn't have accepted a guitar player who wasn't blazing fast.
