Post the party you had when you first beat Final Fantasy One. My first time: Fighter/Knight (Forgot name) Fighter/Knight (Forgot name) Black Mage/Wizard (Forgot name) White Mage/Wizard (Forgot name) The only thing I reget about this party is that I couldn't use the masamune. Now if only I could remember thier names... |

Mine team was Red Mage Red Mage Fighter Fighter As you can see I use muscle over mind. Magic just wasn't for me, i hated how weak everyone else was so I used these. |

Originally posted by TenUh... EVERYONE can use the Masamune. I never beat the original, but when I beat it on Dawn of Souls, my team was Knight/Red Wizard/White Wizard/Black Wizard. Red used the Nul spells, then Tempered and Hasted himself. White used Invisira/Protera (and their weaker versions) and kept everyone alive. Black used -agas in random battles, and Haste/Tampered Knight in boss battles. In the late game, Knight used one or two of the Nuls (I think he could use one of 'em) to speed up the process since he wasn't doing any real damage until he was Tempered a few times. Then again, Dawn of Souls is much easier than the original. I'd like to get Origins, as I'm pretty sure it has the same difficulty as the original, with better sound. But, I'll probably just beat FF1 on my computer one of these days. =/ |

Originally posted by Tamarin Calanis Origins actually has two difficulty levels--the original (Which is actually slightly HARDER than the original), and an Easy mode that isn't quite the same as Dawn of Souls but does make the game much easier (Stuff costs less, easier to levels, max casts of magic per level is 99 instead of 9). EDIT: Oh yeah, I should answer the question: I used the recommended beginner party of Knight/Master/White Wizard/Black Wizard. On Origins, I went Knight/Master/Master/Black Wizard...any healing I needed came from potions, and Haste = GOOD. (edited by Emptyeye on 04-10-05 06:02 AM) |

First one for me (in 1998 on the NES) was Fighter, Black Belt, White Mage, Black Mage ... I beat the game around Level 35, then I did it with a Fighter alone at 50 I haven't had a chance to play any of the FF1 remakes, unless I decide to search for the ROM |

I don't remember the level I was the first time I did it. 1991 was a good time. |

First time would be on the NES and I really need to think... *pauses* Fighter and White Mage were definites... I think it was Fighter/Black Belt/White Mage/Black Mage. The common team. The second time I tried an all-Red Mage team and didn't do that badly, although I didn't end up beating the game. |

Fighter/Red Mage/Fighter/Black Mage Yea, I was stupid back then... but I DID upgrade all of them to their boosted classes. Now I go with Fighter/Red/White/Fighter Really not that different, and yet SO much different. I can beat the game at a much lower level with this group than my other group. |

Orgins on Easy: - Fighter - Warrior - Black Mage - White Mage Dawn of Souls: - Warrior - Thief - Fighter - Red Mage - Pathetically easy. |
