Enjoy a screenshot of the power of fsutil:
Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

here's the deal: Made a 10GB file named file01. Turned on the sparse flag (via fsutil) and told it to make the entire file sparse (again via fsutil). Made 24 hardlinks of the same file with sequential numbers (need I say what app I did that with ...?). There you go.

edit: Someone broke the ability to do valid HTML. Quotes are automatically converted into entities now ~_~_~

It's plenty of room, for Windows. Actually, I was thinking of shrinking the partition some more via ntfsresize.

||bass: 111GB? that's nothing. a real man, one with a large penis, would measure his swap space— let alone the actual storage partition(s)— in petabytes.

any loser who measures their hard drive space in gigabytes has a small penis, is a virgin, and is probably gay.

First of all, I don't use Windows as my main OS. Secondly, it's mainly for compatibility with heavy Windows-demanding games. Thirdly, it's for the people in this house that really don't know how to use computers. And lastly, Windows 2000 is about a gigabyte smaller than Windows XP.

edit: That Keramik skin needs improvement

It is? I'm using Windows 2000 too, and that's enough space for the stuff I use everyday and a few games. (althought I have most of my stuff on the other computer, so I reach my things over the network. )

I know someone with a Terabyte harddrive. I forget if it was 10 or one Terabyte, probably just one... oh well. He made the mistake to partition it as one big partition as possible and then format it. xD

Windows 2000 is just around 700 MB when newly installed. So you can fit quite some stuff with a old 2 GB harddrive. (I have one...)

You people seriously pack it in. I had to buy an extra disc controller and another 120gb disc because the first 120gb ran out of space.

I don't understand how you can have 70+120 GB of junk...

I have a hard disk that's "only" 40GB (actual: 38), but about 30GB of it is free.

Mmm, I have two HD's. One is 50 GB and the other one is 80 GB (which we bought for very cheap). We're getting a new computer soon and well...

I'm not really a pack rat, I tend to throw away the ISO file whenever I burnt something. At least when it comes to various Linux distros I burnt.

Holy flute, why didn't I know about this before? Frickin awesome tool. (Wonder if you could use it to disable network storage quotas? ) Know any other 'hidden' commands like that?

...Or I could just read the list on microsoft.com.

I ran Windows 98 on a 2GB drive for several years without problems. It's hard to fill that much space when you don't have broadband, though.

(Now that I do have it, I have a combined storage capacity of 312GB on two computers. How times have changed...)
