How do you defeat Velius? Its well hard, he uses cyclops which just decks my party. I've got to kill 3 other demons along side him too!!

Try to cast shell on your team or lower their faith. Or both, in that order though. Hopefully you can catch him mid-charge to do more damage.

Well, first, train like hell.

Personally, I found ninjas with summons to be most useful, so I used them to bum rush those guys. After figuring out how to get past the first part of the battle, it was pretty easy with that strategy.

well, if you started with my old strategy for Wiegraf, the fight's easy. Mostly 'cause my strategy involves Yelling to get Ramza's speed to 50 and Accumulating for 25 PA.

Try making your units Innocent. Just carry items instead of White Magic, and you'll be fine.

I forgot to add: Ramza pretty much HAS to be a knight; otherwise his HP will be too low after the first fight.

Personally I never bothered using any of Ramza's initial skills. I always used either black magic, summon magic, or the occasional white magic. Summon is much more useful than white or black in this battle sheerly because it can heal and cause ranged damage.

Remember, though, Ramza's Squire class can equip armor by that point in the game, I think. *thinks back to first battle in game that uses Ch2-3 Ramza*... yeah, he can. That helps the HP quite a bit, and I think Ramza's HP growth is better than a normal Squire's.

The Yell+Accumulate strategy only worked once for me. Difficult to get started on, but once Ramza's speed hits 14, you'll be able to avoid any attack by Wiegraf.

Skipping that, and assuming you can beat Wiegraf, give someone Yin-Yang Magic for Doubt Faith (or a calculator/someone with math skill) and make sure to carry items. Considering all the magic Velius uses, that should work quite well.

I did that, plus the other skills like that (I'm pretty sure there was another thing like that) until my stats reached 99 for them.

Hey, I had some free time.

Then, the match ended in about 2 seconds.

But does it really matter if killing him only took 2 seconds? Once you account for the 45 minutes of yelling and accumulating, it still turns out to be a long fight.

If I remember the fight correctly, I went as a Squire with Item, Auto Potion, and a Move +. I just ran and yelled until my Speed was 50, then rushed him. He dies quick if you get 5-7 attacks for every one he gets.

And I'm pretty sure your Yell doesn't wear off when he changes forms. I thought you only had to kill him, not everyone.

It doesn't. What I did was use the last couple turns after my Speed got to 50 for some added Accumulate, then I stayed just barely out of his reach. Next turn, rushed him, killed him in two hits. He transformed, and I still had four (I think) turns left! XD

Of course, there's another one I heard that involves making Ramza a Chemist, bringing a gun, and shooting him down. That could work, too, since you stay out of reach... You'd probably want Move+2 and Germinas Shoes/Battle Boots, to be safe. Don't think it'd work so well for Velius, though...

But by the time Velius is there, you'll have the rest of your team to help out. If Ramza is near death, just have him hide out in the corner sniping. And by sniping I mean just regular shooting, not Mustadio's command 'Snipe', it just sounded cooler to say snipe than shoot.

Final beat him trying your sratagys but failed. I went for matter over mind by making everyone a monk and two swords abiltiy. Defeted him within about 4 hits. Using that strat for the rest of the game, it deals about 800 damage
