No. Objects are on layer 1, and sprites are on their own layer. I think

Well, you could just copy the 8x8 graphics of the sprite you wanted on Layer 1 into one of the FG graphics files. But... I'm not sure that's what you mean. Please be a little more clear what you want.

No, I meant: is there any way of making a layer 1 act like a sprite (like say for example I wanna make a koopa but in layer 1 format, basicly to make the koopa act like a custom block.)

I don't understand, you want to make a Koopa based on Layer 1?

Not really, no.

Well, the not-moving sprites and sprites that go back and forth very quickly could be done with animation and things that trigger on specific frames, but, in general, no. Definitely no with your first example, a Koopa.

The only way I can think of to do that is like with bowser==>Mode 7, with a hellish amount of ASM, which you said you know nothing about. Sorry, dude.

Tsk tsk, all-caps thread titles.
Layer 1 objects can only move 16 pixels at a time, or move the entire layer (which seems to be rather unreliable in SMW), so I really don't think you're going to get anywhere with this idea.

Well, maybe as a new final boss like bowser, I dunno. It's up to whoever's imagination.

I think it would make more sense to make a custom block like that and add it in Layer 2, that way you could do things like "Layer 2 scroll" or whatever to make it move back and forth. Hm?

Sure. It all depends on the boos, in the end.
