Ami is attacking the location of Ex that is now, not that when is earlier (Ami's attack comes after the push of the attack. Dark Nova is no force field, but an attack of Zeron. | OFF: Just noticed something... I posted that Ex jumped away after being pushed back so well... I will edit the post to indicate that since she jumped away, Ami's attack missed. ____________________________________________________________________ As Ex lands, she noticed that a beam strikes the place where she once was! Good thing she jumped out of the way! Ex *thinks* Come on! Come on! The slowdown problem! Dark Weapon: "Working... working... HaHA! Got it!" Ex unleashed a small shockwave of dark energy. The shockwave was completely harmless; even a direct hit wouldn't inflict damage. As the energy was released, everything returned to it's normal speed. Dark Weapon: "There we go!" Ex *thinks* Good! Think we can do a Dark Overdrive now? Dark Weapon: "You're not concentrated enough to unleash that attack. Keep on charging!" Ex *thinks* Understood. Ex stood away from all the other fighters, ready in case an attack would be going her way... but she wasn't just standing there. She was also charging energy and concentrating... | Ami follows Ex, still hovering circles around her while keeping her distance. She fires three more beams from different angles. Korra takes the hit, but quickly does a backflip which propels him high in the air. From the air, his arm glows silver, and as he aims it at Kire, a small barrage of electric spheres are launched from it at Kire. These attacks, by themselves, do light damage, but there are a lot of them. |

It blocks most of the little balls before it ends, and Kire only takes some light damage Kire puts his swords away and his left foot forward, right foor back, and hands in the same fashion but reversed, not touching his swords at all. | Suddenly, something got in the way of Ex's concentration. It was a feeling of minor pain. She opened her her eyes, wondering where the feeling came from and noticed Ami still hovered around her, shooting beams at random. Ex: "OK... you're definitely annoying!" Ex blocked the next incoming beam with Dark Weapon and side-stepped the last one. Once this was done, she changed the way she held Dark Weapon. Unstead of holding it with both hands, she held it only with her left hand. Using her right hand, she took her Blaster handgun. Ex's eyes glowed green for a second... Ex: "You're not the only one who can fight in the air, you know!" Ex's feet seemed to glow for a second... and then she jumped to Ami's level and remained there. Flames were coming out of her shoes. Looks like Ex shoes are in truth thrusters! Ex: "Mechanical upgrades, anyone?" |

| "Hmm... a magic shield. Electricity can penetrate most minor types of shields, so this one must be at least a little advanced. Okay then, Samuri, prepare to face our Team Attack! Ami, prepare Gemini Arrow!" Ami is a little startled by Ex's quick ability to hover, but she hears Korra and readies herself. First she attacks Ex with not a weak beam, but a good-sized energy blast (her strongest regular projectile) fired out the crystal. Then she faces Korra as Korra charges electric energy into his arm... |

| Suddenly, Ex curled into a ball and spinned so fast that she had seemingly became a yellow sphere! Then, she sent herself smashing into the ground at an amazingly fast speed!... and by that, I mean a really, REALLY fast speed! Something like the speed of sound or something. The sheer power of the impact created a small shockwave... but Ex knew the shockwave wouldn't affect flying enemies and for ground enemies, it would be easy to jump over it. The purpose of the move was to avoid the Gemini Arrow, not attack anyone. Once Ex struck the ground, she uncurled, doing a backflip in the process. As she jumped, the second beam struck her former location (on the ground, not in the air). The explosion struck Ex and send her flying backward at an high speed! After a short flight, Ex spinned about and landed on her feet as if nothing had happened. Looks like Ex had absorbed most of the damage by letting herself fly unstead of trying to take the damage. Ex: "Hmm... so you are not weak... Maybe it's time to use stronger moves now..." |

| OOC: It's called a Team Attack. That's all I say. Just watch... Korra finishes charging, and at once he fires a great sphere of electricity at his sister, Ami! The sphere slams into the crystal and is absorbed, making Ami's whole body flash like a strobelight. In midair, she faces Kire, focuses, and fires! The two projectiles are long, skinny beams that move SUPER fast (still not as fast as Ex's bounce  ). The first is aimed at Kire, doing good damage if it hits. The second one is also aimed at Kire, one full second later, which will do a little more damage than the first AND a good chance of paralysis for a while.This attack took a lot of effort on Ami's behalf, and she lands on the ground to rest. Korra rests for a moment, too. "Ha, Kire! How'd you like that? Our Tandem Attacks can overcome anything!" OOC: Yes, Tandem Attacks are quite advanced techniques, but the tricky part is that both members of Team Gemini have to take part in them, unlike their regular attacks where they can each fight one foe. I've always liked this idea, personally... |

| OOC: Ok then... "Varient Alchemy Stance!" As they start to fire the Gemini Arrow, Kire pulls out both of his Kodacies, and the alchemic symbols on them shine a red light. Thinking quickly, Kire puts the Kodacies in a place to stop the Arrow, and the first beam strikes the blades. The blades absorb the beam and turn blue. Kire pulls his blades down, to ready for the next attack, but is hit by the second beam. Kire takes the hit and falls to one knee. "What sort of attack was that? I feel numb all over." | Ex stared at Team Gemini. Whenever their last attack worked or not... the fact remained that they were obviously the greatest threat. Any group of beings who have the necessary skills and training to unite their strenght to create a single attack combining their powers CANNOT be weak. As such, either she eliminated one or both members of Team Gemini very soon, either she seal all team-based moves for the entire battle... and since she doubt sealing moves are allowed using the current rules, she'll probably have to focus on Team Gemini before taking on Kire. Ex unsheated Dark Weapon and then, she modified the way her eyes worked. Her eyes changed from blue to green, showing that the mechanical implants to her eyes were activating, allowing her to scan her foes... She tried to scan Team Gemini, trying to see if one of the members was weaker than the other physically... |

| When Ex scans, the following data is received: -Korra specializes in offensive tactics, while Ami focuses more on defense. -A lot of Korra's special attacks can only be invoked by Ami. More scanning may reveal more... "Okay Ami, Kire can't move... Now for the big one! Prepare Gemini Crush!" They begin their strongest Team Attack, the one that focuses entirely of raw attack power. Ami flies close to Korra and behind him, then hovers upward, but Korra hovers with her. She seems to be lifting him telepathically. Meanwhile, Korra charges electricity into his right arm like crazy, so fast that he actually takes a very small amount of damage in the process... Ami and Korra hover right above Kire about 50 feet in the air, while Korra prepares to finish charging up... but it'll take another turn to actually attack. Furthermore (unknown to both foes), after the attack is fired, Korra and Ami will be stunned for a turn because of the massive energy it takes to launch Gemini Crush. |

| Kire crosses his Kodacies and puts them to the ground, though slowly "This is no time for me to stay out in the open. Thank the alchemists for these... Shadow Meld!" The alchemic symbols glow black, and envelops kire in a field of darkness. The field cannot be seen through, as it is black. Kire slips down into the ground, though noone else can see that. His location is currently somewhere within the rock. Kire thinks... "Ha, this is really ironic in an outside view. A paladin, let alone the samurai part, that uses seemingly evil magic." | Ex saw Kire "disappear". As a being who was able to see the souls of beings, she was able to see trought such tricks. Ex *thinks* Interesting... so I'm not the only one with dark-based moves around here... Anyway! According to what the first part of my scan, Korra is specialized in offense and as such, should be an easier target... but the scanning I done was rather... incomplete. I need more infos... Ex curled into a ball and then began to bounce around until she reached a far enough distance from both Team Gemini and Kire. Then, she uncurled and resumed her scanning. |

| Ex's scan recovers the following: -Korra is resistant to dark attacks, Ami is resistant to holy attacks. -Ami is sensitive to the emotions of others in battle. -Korra is weak against certain elements if he has recieved an "elemental blessing" from Ami. Further scanning may reveal more... Korra and Ami lose sight of Kire. "Great! We lost him! Well, we better do our best to hit the other one..." They tilt at an angle to face Ex, which Korra can't see very well but Ami can (with her kinetic energies). Korra finishes charging electricity, and now his whole body is glowing silver. Then Ami places her palms on Korra's back, transferring cosmic energies into his cybernetic body... "Here goes... Gemini Crush!!" And he fires... the result being a HUGE beam of thunder and energy, aimed at an angle toward Ex. Anyone enveloped by the beam would take major electric damage. When the beam hits the ground, it's supposed to send a weaker shockwave in all directions, but since it was fired at an angle, the shockwave released only travels in the horizontal direction the beam was fired towards. The shockwave would do medium damage to those it hits. Meanwhile, launching such a powerful attack knocked the wind out of Korra and Ami, who have landed to regain their senses. They will not move for a short while. |

| Ex smiled as the beam was flying toward her... BOOM! Ex held her left hand in front of her and absorbed the Gemini Crush attack! Ex felt tremendous pain as all of her nerves were over-flowing with electricity... she could feel her flesh being burnt and her mechanical parts frying... but the damage was worth it. Once she could control the surge, Ex was glowing in a strange, purple light... Ex: "Nice try... but you left yourself vulnerable. Let's see how you do against... this?" Ex pointed Dark Weapon at Korra and unleashed her most powerful ability: the Dark Overdrive. Time was stopped as Ex dashed toward Korra and then, she executed her attack! She struck Korra once in the face, with Dark Weapon's hilt. The attack would hurt... but not much. The attack's main goal was not to inflict damage. Unstead, the attack would distort the target's stability in time and space thus freezing it in time. In short, it would completely freeze Korra in time, paralysing him for a while. If Korra was unnaffected by time-based attacks, then he would only suffer the damage and not suffer any side-effects. When Ex finished attacking, she jumped back to her initial location and the glow around Ex became weaker as time began to flow again. |

Oh, and Grey, you DON'T have to accept that challenge if you don't want to (if you're reading this)... but if you feel like it, go right ahead.  ____________________________________________________________________ The winds blew gratiously against the trees, the battle is elightened with fury, and the combatants continued to carry the flaming torch that elightened it from it's very source... yet it seems as though the current fighters were not alone... something had been watching them closeby, but it was yet to be seen... who knows when this new reign of terror would strike? Suddenly, a large dark purple entity appeared before the combatants, glaring about and revealing but a dark flame of soul energy for moments to come when, at the same time, a sequence of vicious screams could be heard in the backround from within it... who could it be? The dark flame continued to extract dimensional energy until it could not do so any further, and then, the entity ruptured when it reached it's energy-storing peak, revealing nothing but a vigorous swarm of smoke which blinded everyone in it's line of sight, hiding the vicious demon underneath it's smog as well. ???: "Hahahahaha.... at last, my soul is freed once again! I've been locked up for millenias, stored away within the Velvet Underground since the end of the Doomsday era, the era which I've roamed freely in. I've heard their cries, I've felt their pain, I've merely tasted their agonizing sorrow once I killed them and everything that they love, they to which was bound for but one purpose... to end. I, Kraven Novak, shall put this battle to an end, just as I have everything else before me!" HAAAAAAAAA!!!!!! Kraven Novak screamed in rage! His screams were so powerful it seems as though their echoes would last for days, each one merely growing dimmer than the last, and as he had done so, he vanished into the very center of the ring, focusing on the 4 combatants which surrounded him. He turned around, and fired 4 large waves of dark-energy at them, one for each target. Should any of them hit, the person being hit by it would receive incredible Soul damage, meaning Kraven can deny any victim's attack at will, as well as take complete control over their character for a single turn (leaving him open for some sure damage)*. *NOTE: But ONLY if it hits, meaning it's not against any rules of any sort. Remember, it's only against the rules if it discredits rule 1A (the one about deciding whether or not your attacks are successful), or, in short, decides that it happens right off the bat without anything occuring that would allow it to happen. | OOC: I'm underground at the moment, phased into the plane of shadows. Can you shoot threw the ground with that attack? Also, Zerodius, Kire's using shadow magic, not really Dark magic. That is the reason of it not being evil after all. EDIT: OOC: This Shadow Magic is born from the Shadow plane, has no darkness whatsoever, and thus no bearing on ex, though similarity may exist. Typical abilities of shadow magic are cold, slow, and phasing magic. edit: I wonder, since this thread is not updatin, that if you guys will read this. On the other bearing, an all powerful-seeming intro isn't bad, but what looks all powerful can be a bluff.
