| Garro and Kalar exchanged glances. Kalar smiled, and drew his scythe off his back. Kalar: "While I'm anxious to get out of this hole..." Garro: "...At the same time the prospect of going on a bloodthirsty rampage and killing all of these reckless interlopers is tantalizing, if not horrendously pleasurable?" Kalar: "Couldn't have said it better myself, my unholy friend." Garro unholstered his pistols, blessed them, and clicked out the ammo cartridges, instantly replacing them with another pair of shining silver bullet clips. He shifted his hat slightly on his head, ruffled his coat, and holstered his guns. Garro: "Well then, Dark Phoenix...." Kalar twirled his scythe, shifted it between several other terrifyingly deadly weapons, and brushed a few of Janus' stray ashes off of his metal leg, inspecting the ragged holes in his suit nonchalantly. Kalar: "Count us in. But one condition: We get to be free when we're done beating the shit out of everyone." Garro: "And on the off-chance we get in over our head, don't expect us to die for you. Especially not after only being brought to this world today." Each of them reached out to shake the ominous, phoenix-like warrior's hand. The deal was done, now all that was left was to start the killing. |

| Dark Pheonix: "Excellent." Dark Pheonix reached out and shook both of their hands. Dark Pheoniix: "No one is kept in this tower by force... Well except people trying to break into it." Dark Pheonix turned to look at Star (future) staring right back at him. Dark Pheonix: "Start with him. He's is going to be a problem. Enjoy yourselves while you have a chance." Dark Pheonix seemed to burn himself away and was gone. Serra slowly woke up. She knew she was being carried by someone, someone that had no body heat. She felt incredibly cold for some reason. She opened her eyes and saw Dracoon. Serra: "Uhhhggg..." Dracoon: "Dark Pheonix set a crystal trap for everyone. Almost everyone got caught by it. He blanked everyone out and let them fall down a floor. I only managed to grab you, but it apparently hurt you a lot more than just falling." Serra: "Where is everyone...?" Dracoon: "They all fell into a room. Its a double trap. There are crystals inside that room hanging above us, each one has something special about it. The only one I've been able to detect that was going wrong, was Bel and NeoBowser's. They have to fight each other, but they aren't." Serra: "So what about everyone else?" Dracoon: "The room is meant to contain them until everyone breaks out, something is going to be released when all the crystals are broken." Serra: "What can we do?" Dracoon: "You can't do anything, you're to weak. I'm surprised you're even alive." Dracoon put Serra down, she struggled to get up, but she knew she couldn't move. Serra: "What do you plan to do?" Dracoon: "Wait, its the only thing I can do. You should sleep though." Serra looked at Dracoon differently, no matter how much he said he was just a machine, she knew there had to be something under it all. He'd gone out of his way to help people all the time. Maybe he was hiding something from everyone... Star (future): "Ex. Make sure Raiko and Riea don't get hurt. Try and keep tabs on everyone, this could be dangerous." |

| Kalar: "I'll take care of this." Kalar hefted his scythe and twirled it in his hands, wielding it like a bladed staff. He ran up to Star (future) and jabbed the pole of the weapon into the ground, vaulting himself over Star and coming out of the jump fluidly with a clean horizontal slice! After slicing he hits a button on the shaft of the scythe and retracts the glasslike blade at the edge. Almost instantly, another blade comes out of the other end of the weapon, creating a spear that he uses to stab forward at whatever counter Star may deliver. Garro, however, does not waste any time either. He brings his pistols into a cross shape, and begins praying... |

| Ex: "Oh no you don't...?" Ex was about to dash in front of Kalar and protect Star from the attack but she noticed that Garro was praying... Ex: "Actually... beat up Star if you want!" Ex pointed Dark Weapon at Garro as she dashed! Ex: "Whoever you are praying to, I fear that he'll never get to hear the whole prayer!" When Ex came in close, she executed a downward vertical slash then, she changed the angle of her slash when the blade almost reached the ground, causing her to execute a second, upward diagonal slash. Finally, Ex spinned like a top, (probably) slicing Garro several times in a row before striking him right in the face with the Dark Weapon's hilt! Since Dark Weapon was designed to defeat unholy targets (and if I understood your last posts well, Garro and Kalar are unholy targets), it would inflict at least 16 times as much damage... in short, each individual strike was powerful enough to instantly kill a normal human being... and if the whole combo connected, it would be enough to defeat a Delta level opponent. ... During this time... ... NeoBowser began to laugh... NeoBowser: "Actually... I did not lied. I tought I seen dark energy... but what I had seen was our reflections... yes... a reflection of our future..." NeoBowser turned around and pointed the Trident at Bel. NeoBowser: "Don't you realise it is the best opportunity, Bel? Nobody can help you now. I may be drained of my powers... but your puny magical skills cannot compare to my power, even if my power isn't quite as mighty as it used to be!" NeoBowser smiled and he seemingly faded... NeoBowser: "I shall feast on your soul and powers... oh yes, I will!... and thanks to you, I will come even closer to my ultimate goal!" (edited by Zerodius on 05-27-05 03:13 PM) |

| Garro: "The power of Good.... For the forces of Evil! Holy Sacreliege!!!" As Ex approached, Garro raised his guns, and they glowed with a completely pure and sinless energy... With graceful speed and power, the blessed silver of his gun barrels met Dark Weapon perfectly, parrying the upward slash and giving Garro ample time to acrobatically flip out of the way of the second. As Ex spun, Garro raised one gun to the side and caught Dark Weapon in a shower of metal-meets-metal sparks. What was truly amazing, however, was that Dark Weapon wasn't even beginning to slice through them. This was quite fortunate, as the gun was sufficient to hold Dark Weapon in place as Garro fired the other gun at point-blank range at Ex, releasing a wide blast of holy energy. |

| Star didn't move an inch and the scythe easily penetrated his armor. Blood sprayed from his armor and kneeled to the ground. Star: "Didn't expect you to be that strong. Still, I had to test it." Star stood up, time accelrating around his wounds, healing them. He turned to stare at Kalar, knowing he wasn't going to have fun trying to win this one. Star: "At least you won't die quickly." Star jumped backwards, turning into a blurr. He moved to both sides at once, now two Star's existing, each Star ran in a semi circle around Kalar and jutted in at once, one slicing high, the other slicing low. |

| NeoBowser: "Oh? Is that so? Heeheeheee..." NeoBowser appeared behind Bel and touched his shoulder, trying to get his attention. Then, he dived back into the darkness as soon as possible! He was trying to play mind games on Bel! NeoBowser: "Heeheehee! Guess where I am!... if you can!" ... During this time... ... As each of Ex's attacks were blocked, she began to feel more and more frustrated... why did EVERY single enemy no matter how puny-looking was invincible or almost? The fact that her foe blocked so easily her attacks further aggravated her... but fortunately for her, the bullets offered no resistance to Dark Weapon's blade, merely allowing Garro to avoid the slashes. As Garro blasted Ex at a point-blank range, there wasn't anything she could do becease that unless one could stop time, it would be impossible to avoid... and time cannot be stopped in the tower. Ex: "Great... now w..." ZAP!!! Everything went dark as she felt a huge pain in her head. She then, half-a-second later, heard the sound of an energy blast. A direct blast to the head was more than enough to eliminate any being... and since Ex was not at full power, her chances of survival were slim. She was no longer conscious when she fell on the ground. There was no tought in her mind, no feeling. The blast had probably killed her outright... or is it? Ex knew she wasn't dead... becease that she was thinking that she was dead. Dead people cannot think. This must means that she was simply knocked out... Dark Weapon: "No life readings. Heart arrest confirmed. Brain functions at 0%. Massive damage to brain; 35% of brain cells destroyed." Dark Weapon paused... Dark Weapon: "Transferring Life Force from minor organs to brain. Regeneration of brain in progress... 50%... 75%... done. Neuronal connections established. Sending surges of electricity to restart heart. Attempt #1..." Ex's lifeless body flinched, as if it had been shocked by an unknow force... Dark Weapon: "Attempt #2..." This time, Ex coughed blood... but still didn't awaken. Dark Weapon: "Attempt #3..." This third and last time, Ex seemed to convulse in pain... and then returned to her lifeless state... exept that she was now breathing. Dark Weapon: "Vital functions restored. Reuniting soul with body in 3... 2... 1..." Ex opened her eyes and slowly stood up. She stared at herself. She felt much weaker... but she was alive, which in itself was a miracle since she had been hit directly in the head with a huge energy blast. Dark Weapon: "All functions restored. Life Force left: 72%. Energy modulators & converters offline, Arm Blaster cannon module offline, Magic Enhancer Crystal Core offline, Hover Thrusters offline, Tornado Jump Thrusters offline. All other functions activated." Ex *thinks* OH GREAT... Why do it always hurts THAT much when I get revived after being knocked out? I feel as if all of my nerves in my body had went awry and that my brain had turned to cement... Dark Weapon: "The separation of one's soul and body always cause a severe traumatism... and reuniting them again cause yet another traumatism. There's nothing that can be done... and I doubt administrating you pain-killers would be wise." Ex *thinks* I understand... anyway... About my current state... it's not too bad I could say. I think that you made good choices when designing functions to be sacrificed. I want to know also... what is the state of my shielding systems? Dark Weapon: "I sacrificed your Hover Thrusters so that I could power your shielding generator next to your heart... in short, should you receive a second direct strike to the head, it shouldn't knock you out like that again." Ex *thinks* I'm happy to hear that. I still wonder why every single creature we fight in this tower just has to be Omega level while almost all of my abilities have to be locked or something. Dark Weapon: "I don't know... what is sure is that this foe could be more than you could handle in your current state! My suggestion: do not engage, run." Ex *thinks* I think it would be quite wise indeed... but I'll still make sure that this Garro guy gets what he deserves! Ex slowly backed away from Garro... she prepared in case Garro would attack again... |

| As Kalar jumped into a diving spiral his weapon whipped outward and transformed again. This time, the shaft shortened to a heavy weight-like shape, and a long chain broke from one side of the weight, extending into a sharp glass-like blade. A Kusari-gama! He rolled on the ground and stopped, kneeling on one knee, only to whip the blade on the chain around at the Star on the left and hold on to the middle of the chain, sending the weighted end at the Star on the right. The move followed through with him wrapping the chain around various limbs on his body, so that he was covered in chains and holding a weight in one hand, and a blade in the other. Despite his bounded appearance, he could send the two pieces flying outward at any time... Garro: "Still alive, eh? Well, I do enjoy a good killing." In a surprising display of speed, the relentless priest pursued the pseudopokemon, brandishing his guns and kissing the one that already fired, causing it to glow with silver-white light again... "Gunrusher!!!" He continued running at Ex, leaping over her head and firing in midair and spraying a machine gun-esque hail of silver bullets at her in a semicircular pattern formed by his flying over her and rolling on the ground when he landed. He whirled around and finished his attack by firing the unfired gun and releasing another blast of holy energy. He closed his eyes, chanted a short prayer, and the gun began to glow with a dull silver light again... |

| The Star on the left got nailed, but only for it to go straight through him? Both Star's disappeared and Star's voice came from above. Star: "I call them my Thunder Runners. They're nice for dragging electricity to certain points, now let me show you something else!" Star was directly overhead, vertically flipped so his head and sword were pointing right at Kalar. Star: "Ground Lightning!" Star stopped suddenly, lightning comming from many sides of Kalar. The lightning built up around him, then lightning shot down from Star's sword, brining all the lightning right into Kalar's position. Riea: "Fire now!" Raiko and Riea had positioned themselves to the sides of Ex and Garro. Each one attempting something. Raiko had his gun out, a very strange creation, which looked like it was over heating. A huge blast swept towards Garro. Riea: "Holy Shield!" A shield appeared around Ex, trying to stop the bullets from killing her. Stacice: "Got it!" Luna looked at Stacice surprised. She was even more suprised when Stacice suddenly hugged her, they both heard an ear splitting crack. Luna: "What...?" Stacice: "Its us showing compassion for each other." Luna: "Couldn't you have told me first?" Stacice: "Then it wouldn't have been sincere." They both heard a few more ear splitting cracks and the crystal exploded, ejecting them in different direction. A dull roar of anger could be heard by everyone. Only one crystal remained. |

| Ex: "Actually, I really died... it's just that just like an undead, I will rise again and again and again... and again and again..." Ex smiled. Ex: "As for your attack... I guess it's time for you to taste your own medecine!" Ex pointed Dark Weapon at Garro as he dashed toward her and when he begun to fire while jumping, Ex placed the Dark Weapon between herself and Garro. Then, she spun, following Garro and blocking every bullet. Then, once Garro landed, Ex blocked the holy blast! The shot almost knocked Dark Weapon out of Ex's hands becease of the strenght of the strike!... but Ex used the momentum the shot created to spin around and strike Garro with a slash that was more than ten times as strong and fast as normal! Ex's attack was aimed at Garro's chest... but if he didn't moved, his hands would be struck too. ... NeoBowser still wasn't visible. NeoBowser: "Nope. Not at all. In fact, I believe you failed to understand where I'm TRULY hiding!" Bel's shadow suddenly began to act in a really, really weird way... |

| Kalar: "Easy as Pi!" The second he saw the lightning, Kalar converted his weapon back into the metal scythe form, but the blade did not slide out of the tip as usual. Instead, it remained a steel staff, which Kalar slammed hard enough into the ground that it remained stuck there, touching his metal arm and leg to it with two points of contact each. The lightning surged around him and struck directly at the pole, which was considerably taller than Kalar at this point. It surged through both his arm and his leg and he winced in pain as the nerve receptors on the connection points with his hip and shoulder went wild with electricity. Still, it was better than being shocked to death. He hoisted himself up on the pole and brought himself closer to Star's position. Soon, he was standing on the tip of his foot, at the end of the pole. He elevated himself to where Star was above him, and donned a very stern look. "Still, that did hurt. But then, so will this." He sprung off the tip of the pole and in the second that he remained suspended in the air, brought the pole up, transforming it into a large broadsword in transit. He whirled around, striking horizontally at Star and then downward, plunging toward the ground and landing hard on his metal limbs, creating a crack in the floor and a slight crater. Garro faced some less impressive difficulties. Ex's attack was easy enough to parry, since it was powered supremely by momentum, Garro was 1) able to use the first gun he charged to parry Dark Weapon's circular strike (the blast would have logically caused Ex to start whirling in the direction towards which the blast was heading and towards Garro's fresh gun), and 2) followed that maneuver by disappearing and reappearing right next to Raiko, rushing around the blast with an eye-tricking speed that explained fully why Janus feared him and coming into view as though he had dashed straight through the shot. He had, in fact, not. It would have fried him. Fortunately, however, it was now headed toward Ex, who should really move if she doesn't want to get singed. And speaking of severe, lacerating injuries, if Raiko wants to avoid one, he's gonna have to figure out some way to remove himself from Garro's blast radius, which should activate right about........ Now. Garro: "Take this!" Another hail of bullets went flying at Raiko. Here's to hoping Riea can raise another one of those shields, they seem pretty effective. | OFF: Before sending me flames... I mean polite PMs telling me how overpowered Ex's attack is, read the ENTIRE post. Ex's attack is, well, overpowered to the point of god-modding... at one exeption. The attack doesn't turn out well since the battle does not take place in Ex's home Possibility. Unstead of inflicting enough damage to destroy an entire galaxy, the damage pulled off still turn out insane... but it's survivable (unlike what the attack's full power would be). Needless to say, doing such an attack completely drain Ex of her powers... for a while. ____________________________________________________________________ Ex was NOW really frustrated that her attack had missed! Ex caught on fire all by herself!... but it was not any fire! It was dark flames! Ex: "SO... ANNOYED!!!" Ex took the incoming holy blast!... but she didn't even flinched! Ex: "May the Laws of Physics broken!... and so be your body and soul!" Ex's fur turned black and her eyes blood-red as the dark flames consumed her clothes. Dark Weapon doubled in size and all metal on it disappeared. Long, ugly tentacles that ended with hungry mouths growed on Dark Weapon's blade and unstead of having 3 eyes, Dark Weapon now had thousands! Ex: "I had enough! I do not care if doing so will destroy my body or damage my soul becease of the way Light and Darkness works in this world! I will do whatever is necessary to defeat you!" An orange vortex opened below Ex as she summoned powers that did not exist in this world... Ex: "Great Guardian of Fire and Heat! I, Wielder of the Weapon of Flesh, command you to engulf these wretched creatures into your crystallised inferno! May you be burnt both body and soul, Garro!" SUPERNOVA DISASTER!!! The vortex below Ex suddenly disappeared and Garro suddenly couldn't move (unnavoidable)! The two were now in the middle of space... Ex smiled and then, she transformed into something kind of gigantic crystal-blue worm/snake thing covered with spikes and with 17 pairs of wings. Then the worm shot a small blue beam at Garro!... but the beam passed trought him, doing no harm... or is it? The worm disappeared and then, behind Garro, an explosion could be heard... then a second one... then a third... The beam had knocked one of the stars in the galaxy in a collision course with another one and now, all the stars were being knocked into each others, causing a chain reaction!... worse, the chain reaction of supernovas was approaching fast! Since Garro was locked into place by the mysterious power of the attack, all he could was stand there and be hit... In an instant, he was struck with a real hurricane of energy! The temperature of the energy was so high that trying to writte a number would be useless. The damage inflicted per second by the hurricane was as much as a supernova... multiplied by 5 millions. As such, pretty much anything would have been killed. Once all the stars exploded and the hurricane finished striking Garro (took a full 5 minutes at least), both Ex (who was back to her normal form) and Garro were teleported back to the tower. ... As soon as Ex appeared, the Laws of Physics in this world adjusted the effects of her attack. As such, unstead of having being struck with as much power as billions of supernovas, Garro had been struck with about the power of a regular Supernova spell (which is STILL insanely strong... even if it's far, FAR weaker). As for Ex... she fell to the ground, completely exhausted. Both herself and Dark Weapon were back to normal. Her dark aura was gone for some reason... it was as if her powers had vanished... It makes him immune to any magic and thus he can only stay in this condition a little while. It also makes his presence undetectable to whoever tried to localize him. Bel: Invulnerable Invisibility! And suddenly he disappeared. |
