| Ex stared at Destin and Hero... as she stared at them, her eyes turned from blue to white... in short, she was switching her vision mode. She was no longer able to see physical matter but now saw soul energy. The reason why she changed the way she saw the world? She wanted to see if these two figures were truly Destin and Hero... or if they were products of Origin's magic. ... During this time... ... NeoBowser stared at the Chimera. He knew exactely the very weak point of Chimeras... normal since he redesigned the Chimeras during his war against the Hunters since natural Chimeras have a fatal flaw... NeoBowser: "Too easy. The foolish deity of this tower thinks he can stop us with that stupid thingy? Everyone knows that Chimeras can't do anything if you attack from a certain angle... and everyone knows that a single hit to the weak point will kill them, no matter how weak the hit was. Watch and learn!" NeoBowser approached the Chimera from an odd angle... it was an angle at which the Chimera would easily be able to attack NeoBowser... but he knew otherwise. In fact, he was approaching from the "blind angle", in short, the angle at which Chimeras cannot attack... at all. As long as NeoBowser stood at this angle, the Chimera could do strictly nothing against him... and while NeoBowser was still very weak (remember that his body is half-decayed and everything!), he knew that a single hit to the weak point was all that was needed to kill that Chimera, whatever it's power level may be. |

| Janus: "Oh, come on... This is nothing." Janus drew his hammer and leaped into the air toward the ceiling of the room! "Earthquaker!!!" Janus whirled around in the air a few times, and rocketed toward the ground, slamming Satchel directly on the Chimera's head with enough force to split an office building in two! Janus (thinking): "There's plenty of creatures ten times worse than this guy in the lower levels... We should be able to make short work of him!" |

| The Chimera was destracted by NeoBowser comming forward so openinly, it was against what it had suspected to not be feared at all. It was to late to move by the time it noticed Janus, but even as Satchle hit the Chimera's head directly, it didn't flinch. Chimera: "Fools, you have no clue what level you are on do you?" Star rushed forward thrusting into the Chimera, but when he pulled the sword out, no blood showed and no wound was left. Chimera: "Level 90." Luna and Fenrir started to shoot bullets at the Chimera, each one exploding into a cloud of smoke. Origin, can't tell from where: "Don't bother, they aren't the real ones... Just there fighting powers put into a lifeless dolls..." Serra: "No... that can't be true..." Serra got up and walked towards Destin, who had side stepped Bel's attack easily and threw his elbow back at Bel's face. Dracoon: "Scan complete. Weakness... none... Battle level, 90. Chance of sucess alone... 20%, success rate with group, 70%." Dracoon over powered Hero, who simply jumped back and rammed Dracoon with his shoulder, sending Dracoon a few little bit. |

| Janus: "What the hell? Level 90?" Janus backed away from the Chimera a few steps... "That's... That's impossible, we just got in here..." (thinking) "Then we're gonna have to REALLY bust him up!" Janus pulled Satchel open and whipped out a multitude of discs... Something really powerful was needed. Something... His eyes locked on a burnt disc he made a long time ago... Only four megs were on it, but somehow he knew they'd be more than enough... "Come on, Rudra no Hirou! Satchel's Draw!!!" His eyes scanned the file in its entirety, and the coding for the game was integrated into his brain, unlocking a new dimension of insane ability. If physical attacks weren't working, then he might as well try something else! He pointed Satchel at the Chimera, and closed his eyes, as wind flowed around him and archaic symbols appeared in the ground at his feet. "Now let's see if this works... Ignosico!!!" From Satchel's head burst a fireball, spreading outward and growing as it left its firing point, colliding with the Chimera and adding even more clouds of smoke to the room. |

| NeoBowser smiled as he stared at the Chimera. NeoBowser: "Do not kid yourself. Those weaklings may be unable to destroy you... but I know exactely what is your weak point. Go on! Try and attack me! I guarantee it: you'll never be able to scratch me even once... no matter how fast or clever you may think you are!" NeoBowser was so (over)confident... really, if the Chimera doesn't go crazy with rage, then he really got above average patience! NeoBowser noticed Janus's incoming attack. NeoBowser: "Do not waste your time Janus. Brute strenght won't do it against this foe..." ... Ex: "Do not understimate them, Bel. Brute strenght isn't what wins battles... it's strategy. | The Chimera was caught directly in Janus' attack. The dust cleared slowly, but the Chimera still stood there, a little burnt, but over all fine. The Chimera didn't even bother to look at NeoBowser, but its tail sprang up and it stared at NeoBowser, as it was the head of a snake, and struck out, extending. It opened its jaw wide as it struck for NeoBowser looking like it could swallow him whole. Fenrir: "Damnit, this isn't his world, he should've figured out that this place is different!" Fenrir reloaded extremely fast and fired his gun, an explosion happened at the barrel and the snake head flew back. Chimera: "I have no clue where you came from NeoBowser, but I'm not a normal Chimera or else I wouldn't be here." The Chimera looked at Janus and then opened its mouth as a huge blast of energy exploded from it. Star: "Janus look out, that Hyper Beam, it recorded it from someone!" Serra looked at the two oddly. Serra: "Everyone leave, I'll take care of them." Odin: "We can't leave you here!" Serra: "I will take care of this... just leave..." Dracoon: "Do it. She has her reasons." Odin: "Damnit, fine." Odin dashed towards the corner as a door way appeared. He waited as a few people exited then left and closed the door behind him, knowing no one was left behind besides Serra... Hero: "You're foolish to stay behind." Serra: "I know, but I can't fight with them here." Hero: "...?" Hero dashed at Serra and slashed, just to be met by her sword. Hero started slashing wildly with Serra blocking each attack. ???: "You must wait for the others... A 1 vs 1 fight must take place to advance." The room was complete darkness, no one could see. |

You see... while it seemed like it could strike me... it's neck was exactely two inches two short... once extended, of course. As such, it would have extended just far enough for me to poke it with my Trident with impunity. Believe me, among all of us, I may be the weakest physically... but I'm the only one who can actually defeat him." NeoBowser got away from the chimera. NeoBowser: "It's an easy puzzle, actually. The kind of puzzle most deities put in their places to keep mortals out. This chimera is special. It cannot be harmed using normal attacks... but it is vulnerable to two things. First, there is a hidden flaw which we could exploit... in short, what Origin had planned. The second way is..." NeoBowser pointed at the Chimera. NeoBowser: "... a hidden weak point, which is present in every chimera. A single strike there, no matter how weak or strong, will be instantly fatal... unless Origin gave this loser a Aura-class shielding system or auto-reviving capabilities." ... During this time... ... Ex: "What? We REALLY have to wait for Serra to finish off that dummy copy of Hero? You're no fun, Origin!" Ex looked around. Ex: "Could you just generate the next floor, Origin? I may have all of the eternity to complete this dungeon... but most of my friends are mortals and as such, it would be better to be able to carry on before the next century, you know!" |

| Star: "You're wrong NeoBowser..." Star watched the blast, talking to NeoBowser as fast as he could. Star: "If you knew anything, this is a type of Chimera that has recorded all of the abilities it has ever seen. In short, it has the perception of Dracoon's scanner. It would have been fatal had it hit you. The serpent part can streatch out infinitly anyways, and that weak point you're talking about, it doesn't work. This Chimera wasn't made by you, it was made by Origin and because of that, it has no real weakness." Star watched as the beam got closer to Janus, still flying very fast, somehow he'd managed to tell NeoBowser everything. ???: "Who said Origin's in control? You'll wait patiently till the others come, but if you want a peek..." Lights blared to life. The floor they were on was enormous and looked just like a foot ball field, except without the lines and goal posts. Everyone was on one side of the field, some type of wall of energy was in front of them, with a place in it. |

| Janus: "Ah.... I... Chaos-- no, I shouldn't! Best just to..." Janus tumbled out of the way of the blast as another explosion rocked beside his feet! "Dodge!" He got to his feet, dumbfounded at the prospect of an invincible foe. When suddenly he got an idea... He saw Fenrir attack the snake head, and saw it get hurt... Janus looked to the snake head and grinned. "Guys! The snake! Fenrir's got the right idea, aim for the snake!" He reared back, and hurled his hammer with astonishing force at the snake head, while charging himself up with electricity at the same time! "Green's Lightning!!!" | NeoBowser seemed a bit frustrated by Star's comment. NeoBowser: "Are you implying that my design was actually inferior to that of an pathetic, weak, inferior being such as Origin?" NeoBowser acted swiftly. He placed his Trident right on Star's neck before he (Star) could do anything. NeoBowser: "Powerful or not, you are still human and if I pierce that vein, it's a one-way trip to the Prison Dimension for you!... so I would better excuse myself if I were you!... or else, this chimera won't be the only thing to die today on this floor!" ... During this time... ... Ex: "Pff! Immortals..." Ex seemed quite annoyed, indeed. Ex: "Could you just reveal yourself unstead of annoying us with your riddles? | The snake wasn't expecting an attack directly against it, and felt it hard. Electricity surged through the Chimera, but he immediatly counter attacked, aiming his claws at Janus. Before the claws could hit though, Star jumped in the way and blocked for Janus. Star: "If you can hold it off for a second, I have an idea." Fenrir aimed another shot at the snake, but didn't fire, instead, Luna fired a rocket from a new gun. The rocket shot towards the snake, but the snake opened its mouth and swallowed it. Luna: "What..." Fenrir: "Damnit, I can't fire that type of shot again, my gun can't take it..." Nino shot a fire ball at the Chimera, stalling it for a second as Star got away, lightning twisting around him. Serra jumped into the air as Hero and Destin both made charges, trying to hit her. She landed with both of them trying to attack her, just blocking them. Hero: "You can't win." Serra knew he was right, they would tire her out before she could do anything. Destin: "You know what to do." Serra remembered how Destin had died, a myth about unlocking true human potential, but at the cost of ones life... Maybe being partially human, she could do it. Serra: "Destin, please help me..." Serra jumped into the air and concentrated hard, her mouse-like body turned back into a human body rather quickly and she felt energy swelling up inside of her. Hero: "She's really going to do it?" Destin: "Yes... To bad huh?" Hero: "To bad we are just copies or else we could stop this." Destin: "Maybe, but we are just clones, what was known about them was put into us." Hero: "Yes, good bye Serra, and good job." Serra's energy exploded outwards and she felt her body slowly changing in shape, she landed on the ground, not sure what she had become, and rushed both of the fighters, killing them with just one slash each. Serra: "This power... This is how Destin won, but why is this the only way..." Serra felt the energy stay in her, but all went dark, and she knew she would sleep soundly and not die for some reason. In responce to Zero's post as we posted around the same time. Star electrified the air and moved away, knowing the feeble old man couldn't do anything. (edited by Dracoon on 04-24-05 02:19 PM) |

| Janus: "Got it!" In a diversive move, Janus leaped over the Chimera's head, lightning blazing about his body. He recalled his hammer, and hurled it at the walls of the room. The hammer bounced off the walls like a billiard ball, eventually forming a diagonal pattern that ended with Janus on the Chimera's back and the hammer heading hard toward its side. At the moment which it was projected to hit the Chimera, Janus released the electricity from his body into the monster! "This enough of a diversion for ya?" |

| Star's energy reached a max as lightning begin to literally explode from the walls. Star: "Good enough." The Chimera was surprised by Janus' manuver, but stayed in control as the lightning passed right into the floor. The Chimera's snake head whipped Janus off, assuming it hit, but as it tried to go back down, Fenrir shot another bullet, smashing it to the floor. Star lept into the air and slashed down on the snake head, lightning washing into as it was cut off completely. The lightning flew into the Chimera and it staggered forward slowly. Chimera: "Good job, but this will be the easiest floor. All floors are 10 times hard than the previous." The Chimera disappeared and everyone was teleported down one floor. ???: "I see you're all here, might as well reveal myself now." A black flame floated high above the arena and soon matieralized into a person, well a person made completely out of dark flames. Huge wings erupted from its back and a spear appeared in one of its hands, it looked down at everyone. Dracoon and Star: "Dark Pheonix..." Dark Pheonix: "I see I'm still remembered." Star: "Who could forget you, but I thought you became Origin." Dark Pheonix: "No, not quite. He was born from me and because he born, I lost power. I have gained enough power though, feeding off his. I'm now much stronger than before, but that doesn't matter yet... For now, one of you from one side must fight someone from the other side." Odin: "I'm going." Fenrir: "Me too." Both were stopped by someone on their team, namely Star and Dracoon, as the approached the hole in the force field. Star stepped into the arena quickly and Dracoon went to the other side. Dark Pheonix: "I see..." Star: "Don't worry, this battle will be short..." Nino: "Be careful, you haven't fought him in a really long time, you don't know how powerful he could be." Star: "Don't worry..." Star and Dracoon approached the center of the arena as two doors appeared behind the teams. Dark Pheonix: "You can leave or stay, its completely your choice..." Fenrir didn't move, niether did Odin. Dark Pheonix: "Heh, I suggest you root for the fighter you want to win." |
