| I'm posting this, but I'm pretty sure I'm the only person experiencing this. I am at work, and the connection here to Acmlm's board is HORRIBLY slow. I am not sure if this is a work problem, or something else. However, when I post in a (legitimate) thread, I get the occasional response of "Sorry, you can't post in threads that don't exist..." (etc, etc) I then go back and resubmit the post, and it works fine. This has only been happening today (although the board slowdown I've noticed for a few weeks). Is this happening to anybody else? Is this somehow caused by my slow connection here? Just wondering if somebody had an idea what is going on. |

| That protection was added becuse apparently people abused a newreply.php exploit where you could add posts in threads that didn't even exist. I hadn't seen it fugging up like that, but the board is sure slow today for me too. It's a server problem. I seen other odd behaviors thought, sometimes I get a error that the server couldn't connect to mySQL server. :/ |

That combined with two other sites I go to being down at the same time, and another getting hacked...  I haven't seen that happen, but I have seen some strange errors, not recently though. One time I got told that both the thread was closed and I had the wrong password (two different error pages got mixed together  ) when neither was true. Another time, at the very bottom of the page, another thread got stuck in halfway through. Computers do such strange things sometimes... |

It may be because, due to the slow connection, something gets lost along the way.  Consider pinging the server a few times and seeing if any packets are lost, otherwise... yeah |

| Its probably a glitch in the system or maybe you could be faster than the system because sometimes the system is slower for some reason but that might be it or it could be something totally different. |
