The title is pretty self explanatory. If so, also include a little information on why you're reading it or if you like it, or other such things. I am currently reading : Jurassic Park(I've been doing so for almost 3 years now) Mobile Suit Gundam(The novel) Neuromancer The Two Towers(I know, it's shameful I haven't read it all the way yet) Still on the "going to read" list : Gojiro Giants of Japan Ok, a lot of the books I'm reading I have been doing so for a long time now. Some of them, like The Two Towers and Jurassic Park I've been meaning to read for a long time and started 3 years ago but have just started to read it again. Gundam I started reading this summer while commuting for summer college courses and Neuromancer I started last month and its really enthralling. Even though I like to read, I can never improve my reading speed. I always take a long time to read books. Unless I need to do it AND I really want to read it, then I can finish it in like a month.(To Kill a Mockingbird, Kitchen God's Wife to a much lesser degree) This pile of books has been stacking up on my desk for a while and I think I should really read them. BTW: I was a fan of LOTR way before the movies came out, I just never got around to finish reading it. (edited by The Dogan on 03-13-05 07:19 PM) |

Jurassic Park is excellent. I love Michael Chricton. As a 5th grader, I got the Lost World, and read the two parts backwards, but whatever. They're both excellent. I just finished reading Catcher In the Rye, and I'm not sure where I'm going next. Maybe Consipracy of Fools if I can find it. |

Currently Reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets French Women Don't Get Fat O'Reilly CSS Pocket Guide (okay, I don't so much *read* it, but I seem to be referencing it a lot lately) On my "to read" list Harry Potter and something... something... (Prisoner of Azkaban) ? |

I'm reading: Anything with words that I haven't read 100 times before (including but not limited to nutritional fact panels, books, catalogs, instruction manuals, etc) Sadly, the contents of this list are fairly small, most things fall under the "100+ reads" catagory (edited by Xkeeper on 03-13-05 08:26 PM) |

Originally posted by Tarale Yes, PoA is the one after Chamber. I, like, just finished reading all five currently-released HP books. Started reading them because of the Hogwarts story in the SF, and I must say I'm looking forward to Half-Blood Prince's release this July... Other than that, I just got the colorized version of Bone: Out from Boneville. Pretty awesome. |

Michael Crichton also recently released State of Fear, no? I liked Jurassic Park, but it would be obvious for me to say that a few environmentalists, including myself, disagree with a few things in that new novel I mentioned (it slams the global warming theories, basically). I'm reading Huck Finn and Catcher in the Rye. Not like that matters. |

The book I am currently reading is Mother Tongue by Bill Bryson. It's about the English language and its origins. I finished reading The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde (Robert Louis Stevenson) Wednesday last. I'd read it before, but I was inspired to do so again. The assorted books on my beside, all of which I have read part of recently or plan to read soon, are: The Picture of Dorian Gray, Oscar Wilde. George Orwell essays collection. Science: A History, John Gribbin. Crime and Punishment, Fyodor Dostoyevsky. Ulysses, James Joyce. Nature's Building Blocks, John Emsley. (About the periodic table of elements.) |

I started reading Shakespear's "The Merchant of Venice", in English at school....we've gotten up to like...the 4th act or so, and its not THAT bad. I don't understand alot of it, which was the problem when I read Julius Ceasar, also by Shakespear. I guess that's why I find alot of his stuff boring, though supposedly he was the greatest writer ever to exist, so it must just be me I also concidered picking up Don Quijote (I bet I raped the spelling on that), since my spanish teacher hyped that book for like, an entire class. Though, I doubt I'll ever get to it. Only other thing I'm currently reading...well, its hardly a novel, but I picked up volume 1 of Fruit's Basket (a manga ), and have been contently reading through most of it on and off. |

Currently Reading Harry Potter 1 through five. [Sorcerer's Stone, Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban, Goblet of Fire, and Order of the Phoenix] I said 1 through five because I will read every book in continuos order. At the moment I'm finish the first one, as soon as that is done it's onward to the others. The reason? I need to get into book mode before HP and Half-Blood Prince* or whatever the hell it is called. Next -HP Half-Blood Prince* -Jurassic Park [I haven't actually read this yet. It is sad] *Edit: Yeah, Half-blood Prince. Damn it. Why the hell was I thinking 'Prince of Blood'?
