Does ANYONE else think this movie looks fucked up? I had a feeling Tarentino might have something to do with it. I first saw the preview for it when I saw Cursed earlier this week, but didn't see his name. Saw Hostage tonight (good movie btw) and his name appeared as a guest director. Actually, there's like 3 guest directors. But seeing the preview though, it looks crazier than Pulp Fiction or Kill Bill...

Oh, and then there's the fact that the movie starts on April 1...

Yeah it's the second time I've seen the preview for the movie. Fisrt time was when I saw Constantine and second is when I saw Cursed. Both good movies by the way at least I think so. But Sin City just seems totally messed up for having it black and white and maybe color for some parts. Also, I did see Tarentino's name both times and I'm not fond of Kill Bill. Plus some parts of the preview for the movie just seemed fake.

Yeah this movie does look a bit bizarre. If you are really into those kinds of films though, this one will definitely be a winner. Great cast, Tarantino directing some of it, I dont see how it could turn out too horribly.

I remember stumbling upon the comic books online and looking at the previews.

I really wanna see it actually, it looks good. (where are you getting the bizarre bits though?) oh, nevermind previews. Damn me not getting out / damn the eternal winter

It is a beautiful comic series, Frank Miller's Sin City. I really can't wait to see the movie. It looks killer!

Tarantino's just sticking his name on there because well, he's...Tarantino, that's what he does. He directed one scene where 2 guys are talking in a car. He's just milking it for all it's worth. There are three stories from the comics that the movie is made up of; the three best ones, in fact.

This movie is gonna be so amazing! The reason for the strange visual style (as far as I've read) is because Rodriguez wanted to do it almost frame for frame with the graphic novel. The comic is black and white with sudden splashes of color, so shall the movie be. I think it's gonna be great. An amazing cast, great director(s), and a unique and original visual style like nothing else should make this a definite winner. Word from Rodriguez is that he'd like to do more adaptations of Frank Miller's graphic novels after this. I can hardly wait .
