if you do come out with the custom block needed for this hack that is a coin that turns into a breakable brick when a blue pow is hit, send the block to me at smwedit@gmail.com and I will add it to the custom block workshop (which is freewebs.com/customblockworkshop).

Sorry, about last time.
Anyhow, i was going to say somthing about your hack, i just got kind of earatated.
The last demo i played of this hack, marios head was kind of missplaced as he walked.

Did you get that fixed?
The maps graphics were alos acting a little odd.

What about the big land monsters?
Will their be any?

The last time i saw the muppet show was when i was like 7, i think.
So i don't remember alot about it, just the charecters.

yeah the map, and all of mario's GFX are fixed.

i'll do my best to replace the W4 sprites. i have plans for a few, like using mechakoopas for Goombas, since they's the same size.

What's the muppets got to do with SMB3?!?

I remember reading an interview a while back where the developers of SMB3 were going to initially include Yoshi in SMB3 but because of technological limitations at the time they couldn't until SMW....so in a way this hack could help show us what could have been...well if it had all the power ups SMB3 had...
It's funny a while back I played a hacked copy of SMW that runs on the NES....so obviously someone got around that limitation...it was kinda cool but missing colors

Well there are only a few giant land objects and sprites: 1. smashable brick: i'm not sure about these yet. I'll probably just combine 4, and graphically make it look like one. 2. question blocks: good question! excuse the pun!) 3. Pipes: no problem here, just GFX changes needed, adding an extra line of 16x16 tiles to the side. 4. Goombas: As i said, mechakoopas. 5. Giant koopas: i have no idea. 6. Solid blocks and clouds, just GFX changes. 7. Hammer Bros: i have problems with the regular ones, it's a bit too soon to worry about the giant ones! I get the feeling i'm forgetting a few. I vaguely recall a giant pirhana plant, but i'm not sure. Remind me of what i'm forgetting if you can think of any more...

You can use the mega mole for the giant koopas,and it's a good idea to use the mecha koopas as giant goombas,it will be cool to grab it and throw it anywhere.Any other enemy that you don't have any idea how to make it?

I think you should make the "start icon" on the overworld a place to get yoshi, and make all of the levels the same as in SMB3.

i realise this is slightly off topic (by one number actually!) but i don't want to start a new thread/poll just for this question:

Which Overworld do you guys think i should use in my SMB hack??

1. SMW-style overworld (which was in my previous original release of SMB1) or..

2. SMB3-style Overworld (which unfortunately won't be able to show whether it's night or day)

And also, should it contain raccoon mario or caped mario? i have both to use.

this is for mario 1 right? caped mario and i think if you throw a mock up of both overworlds so we can pick if its for mario 3 then raccoon mario and stick to the overworld i tested

Yeah kris i mean SMB1. I'll make a poll about it tomorrow instead, along with some illustrative screens. @smwedit: yet another great idea! I might just use that. Yoshi will be hidden in a few different parts of the game.
