| Ada's explanation of her abilities gave Red and Green some time to think, as their weapons were jerked out of their hands... Red (thinking): 'Chemical engineering... Bullets... Most effective bullet types are made with copper, meaning she'll probably be packing copper as it is... Copper has a melting point of about 1981 degrees Fahrenheit. .....I can do that.' And Green? Green (thinking): 'Well, I'm buggered. Unless I can run fast enough to get out of that targeting range...' Which he attempts. Green dropped down a few feet, hit a button next to his top shoelace, and zoomed off at blinding speed, in an effort to actually outrun all of the guns that Ada is firing at him. Red: "Chemical Engineering Major!!!" Funny name for an attack, to be sure, but it's not nearly as funny watching Red superheat himself to about 5000 degrees Fahrenheit. By radiating a centralized field of heat around himself, Red causes Ada's gunfire to be overwhelmed with enough heat to cause them to start instantly melting, and timing it just right so that they dissipate into gas a few inches from his body. A few of the closer guns are able to penetrate, however, as Red's suit gets splashed here and there with searing-hot liquid metal. Heat isn't that much of a problem for Red, but it definitely is going to sting. Not only that, but the water around his individual island boils almost instantly, along with the rest of the arena's water. This places the entire environment in a cloud of steam that, to say the least, is going to hurt Janus and Green quite a bit if they don't keep themselves cool. What happens to Team Jarukoth is, of course, dependent on their ability to take a good bit of heat. Janus is caught completely off-guard by this, and collapses to the ground due to both steam-based suffocation and heavy burns. That's quite a shame, considering Jarukoth is heading straight towards him, but what are you gonna do? Green is nowhere and everywhere at once, rushing left and right in an attempt to dodge as many bullets as he can. The speed of his movement generates enough wind resistance to keep the steam from reaching his body, while at the same time kicking up a torrent of sand behind him, affecting whatever he happens to run past at the time. |

| As Jarukoth runs at Janus and the tempurature rises, he steadily begins to feel the heat getting to him. He quickly decides to go back to his comrades to set up a defense against the hellish heat, which has already melted most, if not all, of the guns... Ada: "!!!!!" Shino: "J! GET YOUR ASS BACK HERE NOW!!!" Jarukoth: "I know that, Shino! Engage Heat Defensive Formation!!" Jarukoth dashes back around his comrades, who are busily forming thier next moves. He wastes no time in joining them... Ada: "Ice3!" Shino: "Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!" Jarukoth: "Makyou Hyoushou!" [Demon Ice Mirrors] First, Ada brings the devestating cold spell down to earth. However, instead of launching the spell at one of their opponents, as per the usual method, Ada focuses all her energy on maintaining the spell, and whirling it around the party, shielding them from the intense heat. Next, Jarukoth's ice mirrors spring up from the water vapor in the air. A dozen of the mirrors appear around them, forming a type of dome around the DiEns. The mirrors provide a frame for the Ice3 spell to whirl around in, and provide reinforcement from the heat... Finally, Shino's six clones appear with a burst of smoke, and follow the original as he leaps into the mirrors... Jarukoth: "Take him out before we waste too much energy!" Shino: "Really, I'm working on it!" Ada: "Use the reinforced kunai! They should last long enough out there!" The clones of Shino appear in the reflections of the mirrors, scoping out the situation beyond the cold barrier. Red seems to be reletively stationary, Green is darting around so quickly that he can barely be watched at all, and Janus seems pretty much lifeless.... In any case, the clones ready thier special kunai, and take aim at thier targets. One Shino throws a trio of the kunai at Red through the mystic mirror, in an attempt to stop his ability. Another throws some at Janus, just to be sure. The remaining Shinos figure they can't catch Green, going at the speed that he is, so they opt to throw thier kunais in just about every other direction, attempting to at least trip him up as he passes... | Janus: "B....Blue's Blizzard!!!" In a state of half-consciousness, Janus envelops himself in his learned-ice aura, freezing the steam around him into an icy encasing, which the kunais crack with ease, reflecting off of them and into the sand. Red's heatwave is stopped instantly by the kunai, which pin him to the wall and break his concentration. He rips free of them, blood streaming from open wounds on his limbs. Green sees the kunai and keeps running. Speed like that causes a person to gain incredible reflexes (you'd have to, if you didn't want to liquidate yourself with a wall), and Green is no exception, anticipating and evading the flying kunai with relative ease. As the arena cools down, the three warriors regroup and go into a huddle, with Green shocking Janus back to life for the second time today. Red: "Jeez, Janus, you wanna keep getting killed? It really makes our lives easier." Janus: "Maybe if YOU didn't keep on messing with the thermostat..." Red: "Me? I just want that short bastard dead!" Janus: "Relax, man. We'll get through this. I have an idea." Red: "It better be good." Janus: "I'd like to think it is. We're gonna play some baseball..." Red stared, puzzled, at Janus for a second. He then looked at Satchel, then at Green, then at Satchel again, then at Janus, then at Green, then at Satchel, then at Janus again, and finally understood. Red: "Oh.... Hehe, I get it..." Janus: "Good! Ready..... Break!" Janus clapped his hands together, and the team attack animation began! Janus: "Team Modification!!!" Janus jumped back a few feet and faced Team Jarukoth as Red dove for Green's feet and grabbed him by the ankles! Lifting him above his head, Red spun around quickly, holding Green the entire time, who began to scream loudly and electrify himself, only to be forced into a cannonball shape by Red! Janus patted the ground with his hammer, and Red hurled the electrified Green at Janus, who then swatted him hard and high into the air with his hammer! As Green flew out of sight, Red and Janus struck thumbs-up henshin poses in front of the camera, as a shining background flashed for a split second! The attack ended with Green dropping straight back down at Team Jarukoth, impacting the area like an electrically-powered missile, causing a massive explosion and arcs of lightning to spread around the area! Lo and behold, Green sprang high into the air and above the chaos, mysteriously unharmed by the sheer insanity of the last attack. He landed between Red and Janus, and struck a pose of his own for the camera, with a shining green background flashing behind him for a splitsecond! Red/Janus: "Triple Attack Technique: Home Run!!!" |

| The trio senses that the outer tempurature has changes back to normal, so Ada releases her spell. Jarukoth still keeps his mirrors up, keeping his offensive options open. While Green's movements may elude Jarukoth and Ada's eyes, they don't elude Shino and his Byakugan... Shino: "From above! Get out NOW!" Shino quickly makes one of his clones explode from within the mirror, shattering it, and opening a way out of the icy dome. Jarukoth and Ada quickly make a break for it without any hesitation. They were used to Shino alerting them to dangers only he could see... No sooner had the trio and the five remaining Shino clones escaped thier icy refuge, when the force of the explosion shatters it behind them. They are tossed forward a bit by the blast, but sustain no serious damage. All that lies between the two groups now is a massive, smoking crater, and many shards of ice. Jarukoth quickly whispers to his teammates nearby. Jarukoth: "We're going to have to divide and conquer here. We can't afford to go on the defense again." Shino: "Okay. I think Ada should take Red, since her ice powers could..." Jarukoth: "No, I'm afraid you should fight Red. He's gunning for you, and if you start fighting Green or Janus, Red will get involved, and they could form into a team again." Shino: "Tch...great..." Jarukoth: "Janus was my original opponent, so I'll fight him. Ada, that leaves Green to you." Ada: "Ok, let's do this..." All: "BREAK!" Just as the smoke begins to fade out completely, the group leaps through the smoke to thier respective opponents. Jarukoth focuses, and forms an explosive charge in the shape of a maul type hammer... Jarukoth: "Hammer of Might!" Jarukoth throws the projectile at Janus, hoping that the blast would break Team Grey's line, as well as do some damage to Janus. Shino: "So you want some, Red? Come and get it!" Three Shinos lept from what remained of the smoke, each drawing a pair of katar blades. They charge Red, and assault him with a barrage of slashes. A bit simple, but all too effective if they connected... Ada: "Razor Ice Wind!" Using her mental powers, Ada raises the icy shrapnel up of the ground. Extending her palm at Green, she sends the razor sharp ice shards flying at her speedy opponent... |

| Janus: "Jason, cover me! I'll cover Evan, and Evan, you cover Jason!" Red: "No way! Shino's mine! I'll kick his ass!" Janus: "Evan, we have to--- Ah, dammit, he's gone. Fine then... Jason, you and me." Green nodded, as Red dashed through the sand towards Shino and his clones! Red was quite used to brawling, as he lashed out River City Ransom style, grabbing one of the Shinos (hopefully the real one) by the legs and spinning around with him, using him as a living weapon against his allies! Janus, recognizing the utter futility of trying to bat an explosive back at his foe, instead opens the top pocket of Satchel, releasing a torrent of blank CDs at the explosive, detonating it in the air and forcing a shockwave of energy toward him. He is slightly battered by the blast, but Jarukoth will also have to worry about the rapidly spinning discs heading toward him at a high speed. As a followup, Janus covers Green's arse by hurling his hammer on an intercept course with Ada's ice shards, shattering them and at the same time rendering himself weaponless... Green takes his right wrist in his left hand and lowers it below his waist. He crouches a bit, as electricity begins to gather in his palm... (edited by Grey on 03-15-05 07:51 PM) |

| The Shino that Red throws at the other two hits, with all three of the Shino's katar sets jamming into the other's bodies. They then burst into a puff of smoke. Apparently, all clones. Just then, another pair of Shinos burst out from the sand, and leap into the air. At the height of thier jump, they begin to spin around at a high rate of speed... "Jouro Senbon!" [Raining Needles] A large number of sharp needles fly from the Shinos coats, and seem to fly right at Red... ------------------------------------------------------------- Ada, meanwhile, wasn't doing as well. Janus' hammer didn't hit her, sure, but of more importance was the attack that Green was preparing. The posture, the hand position, the electricity...it all seemed too familiar. But, there's no way it could be... .....Chidori?!?! She did overhear them saying that they were familiar with the move, and Green certainly had the speed. Regardless of what it was, Ada needed to prepare her next move. "Beast Effect Ninpo!" The beast seems to begin to overtake the beauty, as her teeth begin to grow fangs, her nails grow into sharp claws, and her muscles and senses are sharpened to animalistic levels. Not wanting to wait until Green's mystery attack became active, Ada charges at Green, ready to do what she must to stop him... ----------------------------------------------------------- Jarukoth would have also had quite a rough time himself...had he not had the Sharingan. He manages to dodge the CDs, though afterward he wonders to himself why he was dodging a bunch of CDs in the first place... Just then, he spots the attack Green is preparing... Jarukoth: "Not a bad idea, but I'll do you one better." Jarukoth focuses, and concentrates a large amount of energy in his palm, whirling it around ever faster in his hand. Before long, he holds an orb of pure, whirling energy in his hand...which seemed rather familiar to some of the fans around the arena... Jarukoth runs at Janus, his palm, and the orb, outstretched and ready for impact with thier target... "Rasengan!!" | Red's arms fly into his face to block the needle storm, as a burning aura attempts to deflect some of them. The needles keep flying at him, and for the time being his arms, aura, and suit are protecting him, but it'll only be a matter of time before they begin to penetrate... Red: "Janus.... A little help, here?" But Janus was not the one who called out to Red... Blue: "Evan! Do you remember that attack you used when fighting alongside Origin?" Blue was calling out from the stands to Red! Surely he had an idea? "The attack that you used to destroy the underground caverns! Do you remember it?" Red: "Y....yeah! Kinda...." Blue: "You'll have to hit both Shinos at once, or else you'll never get rid of these clones! Use that attack!" Red: "Al..... Alright!" Red's aura burned bright, and in a rush of fire, he threw his arms to his sides, crouching as a flurry of needles burned to crisps in his fire. He jumps into the air to the same level as the Shinos, and a giant bird made of fire forms around his body. "Phoenix Rush!!!" The bird, and Red, fly straight at the Shinos, spinning into a widespread flaming projectile! -------------------------- Green spends the rest of his charge time dashing away from Ada and towards Janus. His arm digs into the ground and the lightning energy in it creates a deep trench as he drags it along, running as fast as he can! In a quick movement, his eyes are staring straight into Jarukoth's, as he raises the ball of electricity in his arm to meet the ball of chakra in Jarukoth's hand. The Chidori vs. the Rasengan! Janus: "Heh, you used the Rasengan against Evan once, if you'll remember, Jarukoth..." The balls lock, and the two attacks are faced against each other in a contest of strength... "As such, Jason had to come up with something that'd be able to counter it. Fortunately..." Janus calls Satchel back to him, and it flies straight into his hand, ready to be swung again! "....Evan happens to be a very large fan of shounen anime. And as for you..." However, instead of swinging at Jarukoth, Janus turns to Ada and, moving almost as fast as Green, meets her with a hard hammerblow to the stomach! "....Take this!" |

| Red smashes into the clones, vaporizing them almost instantly, leaving only the genuine Shino left. Shino almost begins to panic in the face of these new developments, until he remembers what Jarukoth had said earlier... In an earlier conversation between Jarukoth and Shino... This tournament meant something to Jarukoth. He wasn't quite sure what, but that didn't matter right then. His only concern was not being the cause of thier loss in the end. With a newfound resolve to fight, he leaps into the fray to confront Red... Shino: "Summoning - El Gigante!" Shino slams his palm on the sandy ground, and suddenly, a roar is heard underneath the ground. A massive hand erupts from the sand behind himpulling it's whole body up to the surface. Before long, it's entire body is visible. It is the very model of a modern major giant, similar in appearance to a cave troll, from the Lord of the Rings movies that Shino enjoys so much... The giant roars and is shakes the remaing sand off it's body, as Shino leaps on it's back... Shino: "CHARGE!" The El Gigante runs at Red and lowers it's shoulder, attempting to deliver a massive shoulder block to the crimson lilliputian... ---------------------------------------------- Meanwhile, it seems as if another change of opponents is taking place... Ada would have been hit by Janus' punch, had it not been for her new beastlike reflexes. Ada: "Grrr....stay on your side, Janus..." Ada pushes Janus backward, just to put a bit of space between the two fighters. Then, Ada leaps at him, spinning her body in midair. The produced result is a type of leaping, drilling maneuver, aimed right at Janus... "Tsuuga!" [Piercing Fang] ----------------------------------------------- With the amount of opponents the three of them had faced, it wasn't much of a secret anymore that Jarukoth enjoyed adapting attack skills from shonen animes. However, he had never really considered this little possibility: Chidori Vs. Rasengan. However, if history remained true to form... KA-BOOM! ...and it did. True to Jarukoth's prediction, the two opposing energy attacks cancelled each other out, causing an explosion of pure energy right where thier fists met, knocking the two warriors a good distance away from each other... ...but his being right didn't seem to take the ringing out of his ears at all. Jarukoth: "Heh...that was actually kind of fun...pretty cool...don't do it again. On the flip side, here's something I didn't learn from any ninja..." As soon as he gets up, he leaps into the air, and draws his katana again... "Kenjutsu - Tenha Resshin Zan!" [Sword Art - Heavenly Earthquake Slash] As Jarukoth lands, he slams his blade into the ground, and releases energy, creating an earthquake where him and Green are fighting. The attack also spits several large chunks of earth and rock out from the ground and at Green... |

| Red: "Not bad, not bad..." Red cracked his knuckles with resolve... What had Origin done? There was a sharp, pointy thing coming toward him that time. This time it was just a huge sack of meat. He was small, the troll was big, and he wasn't too sure he could even match its strength. Janus had warned them all that the fighters they faced would be extremely skilled, not like the hokey supervillains they had faced before. These were real warriors, not just moonlighters with a mean streak. Red was confident then, of course. Grey had done well, Blue had done amazingly. But this, now this was true fear. Was he unwise for his arrogance? Possibly. Would he pay? His wounds showed him that perhaps he already had. But still, the troll... Blue: "Evan! Setting 11! Turn it on!" ----------------------------------------- Blue... Blue had designed Red's suit to look like an average pinstriped piece of clothing, but the man was a technological genius, using special ultrafine fiber technology to give it incredible strength amplification abilities. Naturally, it had a limit, all technology did. But in the latest software upgrade Red had recieved, Blue claimed he had discovered something interesting in relation to the suit's level of power. Blue: "Evan, your suit... I was performing several stress tests with it and discovered a rather interesting factor..." Red: "What? Is it bad?" Blue: "It depends. Do you remember when you were complaining about your muscles being sore after using it once in a while?" Red: "Yeah, it almost felt as though the suit was working my body harder than it normally did." Blue: "That is what the factor is. The suit does not seem to confer a base level of strength. Instead, it seems as though it multiplies the user's physical abilities based on how strong they already are. Physically, the stronger you get, the stronger the suit gets. There is a drawback, however..." Red: "Oh?" Blue: "Your suit... You are correct in your feelings. At times it will overwork your body, injuring you rather than helping you. I wanted to stop this, so I installed a special setting on it. It is still in development, so do not use it all the time, or it may break and cause your body to rip itself apart from the inside. Your strength will be limited so long as this setting is off, but when it is on, the internal damage will be controlled and you will be able to use as much power as your body can allow. If, however, it shorts out, depending on how much power you are using, you could seriously hurt yourself. I do not advise its use wontonly." Red: "I see..." --------------------------- Setting 11! Blue was actually suggesting that Red risk hurting himself severely for the sake of winning? It was madness, no competition was that important... But was it really for the tournament? Red saw the look on Blue's face... It was one of fear, for certain. If this were in the spirit of competition, he wouldn't be so concerned for Red's health. But at the same time, this was a personal quarrel between him and Shino. Had Blue become afraid for Red's health in spite of his headstrong insistence on fighting? It could be... Red turned toward Shino, and reached into his suit jacket, his hands fingering a small control panel and turing a dial on it one setting too high! Red: "Setting 11!!!" Instantly, Red's muscles bulged, and the suit amplified his strength to an almost immeasurable level. The power, the power! But there was a danger, Red knew full well how much danger he was putting himself in. He had to be careful, or else... Red dashed at El Gigante, his hands placed outward to catch the troll's shoulder as it tried to bash him! The two collided in a furious battle of strength, and Red held fast, inching backward as the troll kept on charging. Blue: "Keep going, Evan! You can win!" Red heard Blue's call... Could he do it? Red: "Come on!!!!!" He kept pressing, and finally managed to lift the massive being off the ground, slowly yet surely, ending the charge. The crowd cheered maddeningly as the warrior began to spin around very slowly, a la Super Mario 64. He spun faster and faster, and in about half a minute, he was spinning fast enough to hurl the cave troll toward the middle of the sandy arena and away from him! Blue: "YES!!!!!!!!!!!" ------------------------------ After all of that insanity, you'd think Janus and Green would have a crapload of heroic inspiration to keep them going. Sadly, they really didn't. While Red was posturing and keeping his pride in line, Janus was getting drilled heavily in the stomach by a large, beastly woman. Green was being pelted with earth and rock, having been slammed hard against the arena's far wall by the sheer force of the explosion! Ada finally jumped off Janus, and the earthquake's force hurled Green into the air and far from the torrent of rocks and dirt. He landed roughly on the ground near Janus, and the two of them slowly got up, having taken extremely hard hits... Janus: "Jason, I think... I think we're... In a little trouble here. Just let me... Catch my breath...." Green nodded. He still had plenty of fight in him left, no matter how his body felt. If Red could show that much strength, the least the two of them could do is match it. Apparently, there was some heroic inspiration to be seen... Janus: "Ok... We've got to come back with something. I still have a boatload of ideas. But for now, let's just hold off on them, we need to keep ourselves open to any opportunities that arise." He took his hammer in hand, and switched opponents again, leaping into the air and somersaulting swiftly, turning himself into a spinning blade of sorts that made its way toward Jarukoth! "Like this! Buzzsaw!!!" Green nodded again, taking off toward Ada and reaching her almost instantly, running circles around her at a high speed, stopping only to deliver a quick blow here and there... |

| As El Gigante hit the distant sand with a loud thud, Shino's slow clapping could be heard over the cheering of the crowd... Shino: "Impressive. I could see it in your eyes...that was quite the emotional burst...but just remember, having the right mindset is only part of the battle..." Shino looks up at the sun. It was about 2:30, maybe 3:00. He still had plenty of a shadow to use. Shino's shadow around his feet begins to quiver, then twist. Soon, his shadow is expanding all around him, creating an extremely large shadow that surrounds and covers the ground all within the area in which Shino and Red are fighting. It could almost be considered a giant puddle, had the shadow been in a liquid form... Shino: "Wake up, Red...the Matrix has you...my Shadow Matrix attack, that is!" After pretty much killing the dramatic tension between the two with that lame joke, Shino begins to melt into the shadow, lower and lower, until his body cannot be seen any longer. Shino cannot be found anywhere. Up, down, left, right, nowhere. Until... Shino: "Hey, Red Riding Hood, here's the big bad wolf..." ...Behind. Shino's torso sprouts out of the shadow, brandishing a trio of kunai knives, which are then thrown at Red, not even waiting for him to acknowledge his location... ---------------------------------------- While her comrades were taking steps foreward, Ada seemed to be taking steps back... She thought she had a lock on his location.... WHAM! Okay, that didn't go so hot. Now, she would... POW! It was no use. Every time Ada thought she had gotten a lock on Green's exact location, he nailed her with a hard hit, seemingly out of nowhere. He was just moving too fast, darting in and out like that... She could only think of two things at that moment: The thought that she had to get out of there, and the idea that would get her out... Ada: "Summoning!" Before Green's next punch could connect, Ada slams her palm onto the sand, causing a pillar of smoke to erupt out of the ground. An unknown creature leaps out of the smoke, quickly grabbing Ada, and leaping to the outside of the circle that Green had been creating. As soon as Ada was out, the crowd got a better look at the creature that had been summoned. It appeared to be a large wolf with white fur, which contained only a hint of blue. A light layer of frost coats it's fur, and it's body seemed to give off little, if any, warmth. Ada: "Thanks Kooriko. That could have gone a lot worse...now then... Juujin Bunshin!" [Beast-Human Clone] Energy begins to swirl around Kooriko, however briefly. As soon as the energy dissipates, Kooriko's transformation can be seen. Kooriko looks just like Ada's beastly form. In fact, it's very difficult to tell them apart at all... "Gatsuuga!" [Twin Piercing Fang] Ada repeats the same attack she just did, this time leaping at Green. However, Kooriko joins in to the attack as well, also meaning to do some damage to thier speedy opponent... ---------------------------------------------- Jarukoth quickly yanks his katana out of the ground, and puts it up in front of him in an effort to block Janus' assault. Janus crashes into his blade with a large CLANG, almost like metal against metal, kicking up several sparks as he grinds against his blade... The force of the blow keeps pushing him back, until the attack ends, and Jarukoth nudges him away. He had seen the move coming, sure, but he didn't expect him to strike as powerfully as he did. A second later, and Jarukoth would have fallen backward into the sand, giving Janus the upper hand... ...Wait a second...sand...that was it! Jarukoth couldn't believe he hadn't thought of it before! The sand was all around him, just ready and waiting to be utilized... It was no secret that Jarukoth used various animes as inspiration to adapt moves from. However, it was less commonly known that for fun, he liked to replicate the moves of his favorite character. Most of the time, he liked to use them just to toy with some of his two-bit opponents that were not really worth his time. However, sometimes replicating his moves would end up saving his life... ...This seemed like it could be one of those times. Once Jarukoth had been seperated from Janus, he jumps backward, and smoothly slashes through the sandy ground in front of him. The heavy slash creates a rather large displacement of sand, which rises high into the air. Then... "Kenjutsu - Ryuusa Bakuryu Zan!" [Sword Art - Desert Avalanche Slash] Jarukoth focuses his own energy outward, turning the large sand displacement into a massive wave of sand...that was set to crash right on top of Janus! | Janus: "Two can play at this game! Earthquake!!!" As Janus came out of his buzzsaw maneuver, he brandished his hammer menacingly, twirling it above his head and slamming it hard down into the sand, causing another rift of earth to rise up and crash into Jarukoth's sand wave, cancelling the attack out. Janus (thinking): 'He's matching me pretty well, so far... And as long as Evan and Jason are preoccupied, we won't be able to pull off another team attack. I've got to stall for more time!' Janus leaped into the air and drilled downward, leaving Satchel behind for a few seconds, floating in the air. As the waves of earth reached their climax, Jarukoth most likely saw a hammer spinning straight through the column of sand and right at him. However, if he's paying attention to that, what he won't see is Janus popping out of the ground behind him to deliver a blow to his blind side! ----------------------------- Noticing the shadowy Shino at the last possible second, Red turns and, with a small splash of blood, realizes his dodge has left him with a gash in his side. Just perfect... Red (thinking): 'I need to make use of this power... I've been on the defensive for too long!" Red turns to face his attacker, and drops to the ground a la Janus, punching his fist downward and throwing a splash of sand outward as a diversionary tactic! He then places his other hand on the ground and lifts himself up, spreading his legs and breakdancing into a hard roundhouse kick at Shino, ending with a front handspring as far out of the circle of shadows as he could go, moving closer and closer to Janus's (and Jarukoth's) location... ----------------------------- Green's difficulties were doing nothing but rise, as he now had to deal with not one, but two Adas. He could certainly run circles around one, but the other would just cover his offensive. Only one thing to do... Green stood before the two beasts and crossed his arms to his chest, electrifying himself as much as possible and charging up as hard as he could before Ada and Kooriko could reach him, only to release the energy as they made contact, turning himself into a human taser! He'd get scratched up, yeah, but the more important part of that fact was that if they touched him, they'd be in for a bit of a shock. |

| Sand raining down all around him, the only thing he can see is Janus' hammer, which Jarukoth dodges reletively easily... Jarukoth: "Please, enough frontal assaults alrea..." He is cut off by Janus' fist impacting the side of his head, sending him stumbling a few steps away from his opponent. It would seem Janus is beginning to find ways around his Sharingan, as all of Jarukoth's best opponents did at one point or another. Jarukoth: "Alright...if that's the way it's going to be played, then maybe I'll need some extra sets of eyes..." "Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!" The six clones of Jarukoth spring up, joining up along side the original, and drawing thier swords. A classic move that Janus more than likely had seen, but was unlikely he could predict accurately. Jarukoth: "Now then, where were we?" ------------------------------------------------------ Ada: "We got him..." Green seemed to be slowing down a bit, and Ada and Kooriko waste little time in attempting to capitalize... However... Ada: "AAAHHHH!" Ada and Kooriko are electrocuted as they impact Green, and are tossed backward a good distance away from him. They are still a bit shaken up as Ada gets back up to her feet, and Kooriko releases the transformation... Ada: "Perhaps now would be a good time to double up, Kooriko..." Seemingly acknowledging her words, Kooriko quickly rushes up beside Ada, as she focuses her power... Ada: "Merger Morph!" Ada and Kooriko's bodies are suddenly drawn to each other, and slam into each other with a great flash of light. Where they once stood, now stands what can only be described as a massive dual headed werewolf, with the same icy aura that Kooriko once posessed... Before the audience can get too good of a look at the new form, the duo launch their next attack, spewing a chilling, icy blast from thier mouths at Green... "Ice Breath!" ---------------------------------------- Red's kick connects, sending Shino hurtling backward into the shadow... However, as Red attempts to escape from the Shadow Matrix, a pair of arms reach out from the shadow below him, grabbing his ankles... Shino: "Ah ah ah...you didn't say the magic word..." Shino reveals the rest of his torso from the shadow, and hurls Red back into the center again... Shino: "I can warp myself instantaneously within this massive shadow...which would explain why it's so difficult to get out..." He then brandishes several more kunai, three in each hand. He flashes Red only a stern look before throwing them at him... |

| But in the moment that Jarukoth spends summoning his six clones, Janus is gone, having retreated to Shino's Shadow Matrix in order to help Red. Janus: "Evan, let me help you out of there!" Red's pride remained steeled, as kunai wounds open on his body along his limbs and torso. He's bloodied, but not beaten... Red: "No way, Janus! This is MY fight, and I'm gonna win it!" At this point, Janus was fuming. It was certainly extremely hard for someone as patient as Janus to get angry at something, but Red had pushed a few too many buttons. Janus: "You fool! What were you saying just yesterday to John about teamwork and diverse skills? You're just being hypocritical if you won't accept that there might be someone who can assist you in your plight, and selfish too, if you'll help others but are too prideful to accept help!" Red started at this, as Shino moved around him in the Matrix. Was that true, he wondered...? Janus reared back, ready to throw his hammer. "And if you're not going to accept my help of your own will, I'm gonna force you to accept it!" He chucked his hammer into the circle of shadows, not at Shino, but at Red, who was slammed out of the Matrix and into the air! Satchel supported his weight and floated upwards, while Janus leaped into the air and landed gracefully on Satchel's head with Red slung over the handle... "Now, you're gonna work with Jason and me as a team, and.... Jason?" Janus looks for his teenage comrade, only to find him facing down a supermutant two-headed werewolf... "Oh. Well, fuck." ----------------------------------- Green had no idea what hit him. With the electrical field still around himself, Green was able to retain enough kinetic energy in his body to keep from dying of endothermia, but damn, that was cold! Green (thinking): 'And it smelled kinda bad, too... What's she been eating?' Green threw his arms in front of himself, and weathered the icy blast as long as he could, until the cold got to be so bad that he tried to zoom away from the attack as quickly as he could! That was when he realized "as quickly as he could" wasn't all that fast... As soon as he stumbled away from the blast, Green looked down at his shoes. They were frozen solid, effectively rendering him slow and grounded until he was able to melt the ice on them. Red would have to take care of that, Green didn't want to risk short-circuiting his shoes. He looked up, only to see Janus standing on Satchel and Red slung over it. He guessed he wasn't going to be getting that for a while. He'd have to stall, until he could defibrillate Red... Green turned towards the horrifying two-headed beast, and started rubbing his hands together while encasing them inside the sleeves of his suit. Static electricity! He charged it up for a second or two, and ran with his cold feet toward Ada, only to lash out, his body charged with electricity, with a collection of punches and kicks! |

| Shino: "No...I'm not going to let you regroup on us again..." Just as Shino begins to prepare his next attack, a strange movement can be felt in the ground underneath him. Tremors, perhaps? The rumbles began to grow louder and more intense over time. It would seem that something big was coming. Shino only smiled as the creature came closer... It was El Gigante! Finally returning to the fight after being tossed ever so distantly away by Red, the massive ogre was back and angrier than ever... "Baika no Jutsu!" [Multi Size Skill] Within the matrix, Shino expands his body and sticks out of it. With a leap, El Gigante springboards off Shino's inflated body, and leaps up to meet Red and Janus in midair. As soon as it is at the same level in the air, the giant attempts to slam them both with a massive, angry backfist... --------------------------------------- Ada-Kooriko: "It may be taking a bit of a chance...but the damage caused just may be worth it... Let's GO!" Instead of dodging the attack, Ada and Kooriko instead rush foreward, and leap at Green in an attempt to parry his attack... In midair, they then perform the same type of leaping, drilling slash as the Peircing Fang, but something seems different. The spin seems to be larger, faster, and more violent then the last maneuver of it's type, creating more damage potential than it's predecessor... "Garouga!!" | Janus: "I.... Dammit!" In a moment of panic, Janus heaves Red onto his shoulder and stands on Satchel, using it as a hoverboard to zero in on Green's location! El Gigante's fist passes just over his head, nearly knocking Janus off balance with the sheer wind of the blow. He then does something incredible: He hurls the unconscious Red high into the air (he IS wearing a carbon copy of Red's power suit, after all) and goes into his buzzsaw-like attack, but doesn't aim it at Ada and Kooriko, instead slicing between them and slamming the ground in the center of the three fighters as hard as he can, causing a forceful blow to scatter sand everywhere, and knock Green out of the way of their attacks. By hurting Green a little, he saved him from being sliced to ribbons by the two wolves' attacks... As Green is blown backward, Janus comes out of his buzzsaw attack with several aerial frontflips, and during the flips chucks his hammer upwards to meet the falling Red and catch him. Satchel then lowers itself to the ground with Red in tow, and the three fighters are regrouped! Janus: "Alright, Jason... I need you to charge up Evan here. Then we can talk tactics." Green looks at Janus with an exasperated expression on his face... "What? If I hadn't saved his butt, he'd be shadow meat by now. You know that." Green shakes his head and furrows his brow, laying his hands on Red and using the same defibrillating technique that woke Janus up. As the electricity surges through him, Red awakens with a start. Not necessarily healed, but not useless, either. Red: "What what now? Oh... Janus, what the hell was that? Attacking me instead of them? I... Hey, I'm out of the shadows..." Janus: "Exactly. Now do you understand that you can't beat these guys alone? We need to work as a team! You're so headstrong and arrogant sometimes, I swear!" Red: "Well, it doesn't exactly help that YOU keep on hitting us in an effort to save our arses!" Janus: "Hey, if I didn't save you, Shino'd have kicked the crap out of you by now!" Red: "Oh, don't give me that, whitey! You could've found a million different ways to do that without knocking me unconscious!" Green: "STOP!!!!!" Red and Janus stopped and clapped their hands to their heads, their ears having been severely harmed by the normally mute Green's sonicboom-like voice. He never liked to speak, because it usually led to people's ears bleeding just from a few words, but this really was enough... (in a whisper): "Friends?" Janus and Red were definitely listening. The two of them, constantly squabbling like children, nodded their heads, shook hands, and realized that they had a common cause once again. But in all of this chaos, where was Jarukoth? |

| Jarukoth: "HEEEEEEERE'S JOHNNY!" With the time Team Grey had spent discussing thier teamwork (or lack thereof), Jarukoth had sent four of his clones out to surround them on all sides. Drawing thier swords, the Jarukoths rush at them, and swing thier swords, all extending the energy from thier blades outward in a familiar power slash attack... "Kenjutsu - Yonkogetsu Zan!" [Sword Art - Four Crecent Moon Slash] -------------------------------- Meanwhile, the real Jarukoth joins back up to meet his allies. Shino was dispelling his Shadow Matrix, and Ada-Kooriko was rubbing it's sensitive ears, which still stung a bit from Green's sudden and very loud outburst. They quickly gather into a huddle... Jarukoth: "Okay...I'm not sure how long the clones will last, so let's make this quick. Ada, if they stay grouped together like that, we rush in with the Alpha Flanking formation. If they break up again, we go one on one as planned before. Questions?" Ada-Kooriko: "None." Shino: "Negatory." Jarukoth: "Good. If it's tactics they want, let's show them what a fully loaded DiEn unit can do..." Ada and Shino smiled as they put thier hands in the circle along with Jarukoth's... Jarukoth: "J!" Ada: "A!" Shino: "S!" All: "GO!!" They release thier hands from the brief powwow, and turn back to face watch Team Grey... |

| Janus: "Idea time! Follow my lead!" As the Jarukoth clones make their move, and Red notices (and quickly thaws) Green's frozen shoes, Janus leaps into the sky and brandishes his hammer, only to be followed by Green, and Red on Green's back! Janus then throws himself towards the ground and the two Agents follow suit, the impact of which causes a rush of sand, fire, and electricity to blaze outward from their impact point, counterforcing the energy slashes into dispelment, and hopefully taking care of those bothersome clones. Janus, Red, and Green dash forward and out of the dust clouds that are kicked up, as Janus puts a hastily-formed idea into motion... "Team Modification!!!" Suddenly, Jarukoth's attack pattern is replicated! Forming a T shape around Jarukoth's group, Team Grey attempts a four-way hit, as Red flares up, Green charges, and Janus just plain concentrates... From the west, an electrified Green rushes directly through Team Jarukoth's huddle, spreading high-voltage energy among the ranks. The camera is treated with a close-up of Green's face as his attack finishes. From the north, the camera shows a cut-in of Red's face, becoming a burning flurry of fists as he makes his way through the group, high-fiving Green as their attacks execute simultaneously. From the east and south, a pair of whirlwinds, one formed by Janus, the other from Satchel, cross through the group and send dust and sand flying everywhere! As the three fighters finish their attack and Satchel flies back to Janus' hands, each comes out of his maneuver in a crouch, and one final delayed reaction occurs, with Janus' face coming into view on the camera. He grins, and an explosion of fire and electricity (mainly for effect, not so much for damage) forms a cross, with the center of the cross being the area where Team Jarukoth would have to get the hell out of if they wanted to avoid being singed... Red/Janus: "Triple Attack Technique: Compass Cross!!!" Janus then grabs a fistful of sand and stuffs it in his suit jacket pocket. Red and Green notice this and take one, as well. It might come in handy sometime. |

| With his Sharingan, Jarukoth is the only one that can see the blazingly fast attack coming. He forcefully pushes Ada and Shino out of the way, a split second before he collides with Green's electrified body, sending him tumbling end over end to the island's edge. In a panic, Shino rushes to Jarukoth's side... Shino: "Shit, that must have hurt..." Jarukoth: "Yeah, it sure did...just give me a minute, though. I'll be alright..." Ada looks at the arena's clock...There wasn't much time left, and Jarukoth was incapacitated for the moment. If there was a moment to use her trump card, this had to be it... Ada dashes back to her comrades, standing in front of them, and facing Team Grey. Kooriko, clearly sensing Ada's thoughts, dispels the transformation and fades back to it's own plane. It was all up to her now... Ada: "Guys, you may want to stand back for this..." She loads her revolvers with a set of strange, glowing bullets, and points her guns up into the air... "Gun Kata - Dance of Queen Alexandra's Birdwing!!!" She pulls the triggers, and bright blasts of energy erupt from the guns. Instead of flying at Team Grey, however, the energy snakes around Ada, completely covering her body. As the bright light begins to fade, one had to wonder if the woman standing there was really Ada Wong... Her trademark red dress was gone. It it's place were a set of white, silken robes. Her jet black hair had also turned a pure white, and her back was adorned with a pair of ethereal, glowing wings. Had the wings not resembled those of a butterfly, one could easily mistake her for an angel... Ada: "Jarukoth...Shino...It's my turn now...you two know what to do..." Shino and Jarukoth can only nod ever so slightly, The sight of thier comrade's transformation completely taking them by surprise... "Summer Azure's Flurry!" With a great flap of her wings, Ada launches several wisps of energy at Team Grey, as they begin to flutter and take shape into... Shino: "...Butterflies? What the hell...?" Jarukoth: "...Those aren't normal butterflies..." As soon as one of them lands on the sand, it promptly explodes in a flash of light, leaving only a crater behind. As they continued to flutter at thier targets, it was a safe bet that a similar effect was in store for anything else the butterflies touched... | A series of explosions thundered around Team Grey as the butterflies landed on and around them, kicking up incredible amounts of dust, dirt, and sand. When the debris cleared, there stood only one member of the squad out of the original three. Red and Green had been taken completely out of the fight, sprawled on the ground and unconscious due to the incredible power of Ada's attack. Only Janus stood, and it seemed as though he had either evaded every single butterfly that came near him, or simply was unaffected by the explosions. Instead, his eyes narrowed, and he reached up to his face and took his sunglasses off, closing his eyes. He had a gigantic store of power within him, and if Ada was going to use her trump card, he decided to use one of his... Janus: "That amount of force was completely unnecessary. But then, this will be, too. Even if this is a fighting tournament and they both made the mistake to enter this fight of their own accord, I can't allow anyone to just hurt them with impunity!" He placed the sunglasses into the soot-covered breast pocket of his suit, and opened his eyes as they glowed brightly with his trademark blue light. This time he wasn't restricted by the plot of a story, or anything like that... "God is power. To gain power, one must gain knowledge. Knowledge is power. To gain knowledge, one must live. Life is power. To live, one must not be afraid of death. Therefore, to live eternally is to be among gods!" Janus crossed his arms in an X shape, closed his eyes, and then whipped his arms straight out to his sides, throwing his head back and making himself into a humanoid crucifix. He then rose several inches off the ground, and the blue light that lay in his eyes rushed outward, blinding the crowd in the stands with glistening radiance! "Messiah!!!" The light faded in several seconds, and the man that stood in place of Janus... ....looked exactly the same. In fact, it seemed that nothing at all had changed about Janus in the physical sense. Internally, however, Janus was a completely different person. He was filled with a sense of strength and ability that he had only felt once before, when he was with Odin. Even then, he could have gone further if he wasn't afraid of what he could do. But here, there was no story, no plot, no twists and turns for him to be led down. Here, he could exercise his potential with impunity. So long as the Nameless NPCs in the crowd decided to get out of the way in time... "The Grey Dawn hasn't come just yet. But when it comes, I'm going to be ready to defend my friends, just like I'm about to now. The amount of power we share shouldn't exist in a world like ours, but when it comes to defending the people you care about, there's no way you can say it's not important to have. There's nothing stronger in this world than friendship." Janus bent his knees ever so slightly and passed Satchel to his left hand, gathering energy in his right... "You'd better not pull another move like that, and you'd better not have hurt Evan and Jason. Otherwise, this is going to be a lot more painful than I'm about to make it now." His hand glowed with a white light, and blue bolts of energy began to circulate around him... "Tell Shino and Jarukoth to stay out of this one, or else THEY'LL get hurt. You wouldn't want your friends to be hurt, would you? Come, we'll settle this between the two of us..." Janus squatted down, and sprang forward, running with insane resolve toward the angelic being that stood before him! "Fist of the Grey Dawn!!!" Janus reached Ada and punched forward, releasing along with all of his passion and fury a tidal wave of pure white energy that sent nameless NPCs in the stands scattering for their robotic lives! Janus knew this would be it, the final attack. He couldn't stand any more beyond what he had already shown. He was satisfied. Red and Green had fought well, Jarukoth, Ada, and Shino were amazing opponents. Now all that was left was to see if they could stand up to a taste of his potential. Whatever Ada would counter with, the light from Janus' attack blew outward, blinding all who watched the fight. There would be only one person standing when it cleared... |

The words of Janus... His words rang all too truthfully to Ada. However, the quote struck her as only a half truth... Ada: "You are wrong, Janus...There is one force on this earth that surpasses friendship..." For whatever reason, Ada does not finish what she seemed like she was going to say. Instead, she focuses all the energy she has, and begins to focus it all into her arms, as they begin to glow with power. As her wings fade and even thier latent energies are gathered, she focuses with an emotional fury she has not felt in hundreds of years... Shino, meanwhile, is terrified. All this power, and he still couldn't unlock any of his BioArmors' inhibitors yet. Now, here is Ada, unlocking all of her inhibitors at once! He didn't even know she had attained that kind of power!
