| I've made some searching without finding anything... I'm looking for a program which works like this: Enter an internet address. The program hides in the system tray or something. The program visits the given page every three minutes or so and alerts the user if the page changed. I tried to make a program like this myself, but it ended up giving false messages every once in a while. Suggestions? |

| Use managed c++ and the System::Net::Webclient object. Then compare the byte arrays returned every 3 minutes. | |||

| I should add that he's talking about .net programming. Last time I looked on MSDN, they had a beta of "express" editions of Visual Studio, which are freely available for now. | |||

| Well, if it's .NET we are talking about, you can use the same method from any .NET programming language (C#, VB .NET, etc). I'm sure you could also find VB code to download a web page easily too. | |||

| That's true! Since it's .NET, you should be able to produce an equivelent code in VB .NET, though I can't really suggest anything because I dont know how to program in VB .NET. I could write a simple application for what you want in C++ though and give it to you to look at though. |
