| "That? That was....the first shoe," Taffy said enigmatically, slowly spinning both Keyblades, appearing to charge them with something. She rolled her eyes up for a few seconds before continuing. "I'm waiting for the other two to drop. They should come along any second now." With that, she backed up expectantly, still spinning her weapons. OOC: Yes, I do mean two more anvils. Silly? Yes. But don't worry, I'll get back to the serious stuff in the next turn  |

OOC: Don't worry about being silly at times. "The Bugs Bunny and Tweety Show" is one of my faves.  Shniji, glancing skywards from time to time, started towards Taffy. "If this spell is locked on me, I'd like you in range of the effect. If it's not, me moving towards you should remove me from the spells range." Shinji shifted the grip of Oathkeeper to backhand, and started muttering words under his breath, randomly switching between Latin, English, and Japanese. This way, she doesn't know when I cast a spell. A smirk crossed Shinji's face as he continued his movement. |

| "I dunno what you're saying, but I don't like the way you said it. Anyway, I'd be glad to move within the ra-" With a wham! and a slightly louder wham! both anvils fell right through the arena floor at the same spot the first one had, leaving a gaping hole the size of a dinner table. Once the shaking from the impact was over, however, Taffy herself was nowhere to be seen. In her place was a small wooden sign with a hastily scribbled arrow on it, pointing upwards. She'd jumped into the air, now rotating her entire left arm rapidly. "Here's a little something I've been working on..." she smiled. With that she abruptly stopped her arm motion and fired off a fairly large, round, obsidian bomb from Ravenwing, the force sending her backwards and away from the point of impact. |

| "Precious light, be our armor to protect us! Protect!" Shinji entered a batter's stance as the Protect spell washed over him. When the bomb was within reach, he swung, hoping to smack it back towards Taffy. OOC: You can chose if it explodes or not. |

| "Note to self: Cast Bomb with shorter fuse." As it approached, she put her hands and weapons together, as if she were about to set up a volleyball. When it came to her, she punted the bomb upwards and slightly away from her, letting it explode in mid-air. Unfortunately, it wasn't far enough away, and she wound up taking some slight damage from her own attack. "Ugh...looks like I'll have to pull out the only good defensive spell I know thus far...Techno Gospel!" --------------------------------------- Techno Gospel: In this context: sort of a combination of Protect and Haste. The shield will cancel out only one physical or magical attack before disappearing, and the Haste wears off after one more turn. -------------------------------------- A narrow, elliptical energy field formed in front of her before becoming invisible, and her hair seemed lighter in color. Then she put up yet another cross block - with her arms this time, yet still keeping the blades in her hands. Taffy herself appeared to be doing nothing else, though her Starfire keyblade seemed to be glowing... |

| Shinji spun his Keyblades so that he held both backwards. He reusmed his random utterings, giving him the ability to cast spells without his opponents knowledge. He then, holding both Keyblades in front of himself, started towards Taffy. |

| "Hmm...." The Starfire Keyblade now had a golden aura around it. Taffy uncrossed her arms and ran towards Shinji, deciding to close the gap between them herself. As she ran, Ravenwing vanished once again, leaving just the weapon in her right hand. Right before she got to him, Taffy yelled a Latin-sounding word of her own. "ARCANUM!" With that, she unleashed a furious barrage of quick Keyblade slashes at her opponent... OOC: When I say Arcanum, I mean the start of the whole Ars Arcanum combo (Arcanum -> Bash -> Bash -> Finis). Not as great as Strike Raid, but it's grown on me |

| "Haste!" Shinji's movements picked up speed, as he blocked the start of the onslaught. However, he knew the Arcanum combo would last longer than his Haste spell, seeing as he had cast the shorter version. As the initial attacked finished and the Bashes started, Shinji's Haste fell. Using both of his Keyblades, Shinji blocked some of the attack. He was, however, hit by several Bashes and, unluckly for him, Finis. Shinji was sent sprawling backwards, landing in a heap a fair distance away. Coughing, he raised himself to his feet. He cast a quick Cure spell to stop the bleeding and mend his bones, before placing both hands behind his back. "I can see now that you have the power to fight the Heartless. I consider it an honour to have dueled you." Behind Shinji's back, however, he held Oathkeeper, keeping it in line with his leg, and charged energy into it. Time to pull all the stops. |

| Taffy nodded once. "Thank you." While she found Shinji's gesture odd, she didn't suspect anything. She caught her breath and downed a potion, to ease the damage she'd taken from her failed bomb attack earlier. Ravenwing reappeared in her left hand, and she let her arms hang straight down, Keyblades pointing at an angle towards the ground. "You're not....done...are you?" Taffy asked, a bit uncertain and a bit skeptical. |

| Taffy blinked in surprise. Okaaay....that was a simple yes or no question, or so I thought. What gives here? "Oh, ahh...nothing, really. Just making sure you still wanted to continue, that's all. I mean...I really kinda outdid myself on that last move, an' all..." Is he up to something? I honestly can't tell. The shield I cast a little while ago should still be active, though it's probably much weaker than before. Should help a little if something is up, though. Even though she still had no clue what was about to happen, Taffy kept a wary eye on Shinji, awaiting his response. Whatever it was. |

| Shinji muttered, "Clone Dual Strike Raid," and watched as roughly a dozen clones flashed into existance in a rough circle around Taffy. Al of them pulled back their right hand and whipped their Oathkeeper at Taffy before rolling to the right and whipping Kingdom Key as the Oathkeepers were about half way to Taffy. OOC: Shinji and the clones will roll in a random direction, throw one Keyblade, roll in another random direction, throw the other Keyblade, and continue this until the entire Strike Raid attack combo is finished with both Keyblades. Have fun. |

| OOC - Oh, I intend to. Hope I got this attack pictured right. "Dumb, dumb, dumb! Never let the enemy trap you in a cage!" "...you probably shouldn't have helped us build it, either." "I know! Dumb!" - Freakazoid and Gutierrez, from "Heroboy" --------------------------------------------------------------- "Lessee, 12 times 2 times 5 equals...$#!+%*! Techno Gospel!" Taffy brought both Keyblades down in a wide arc, her arms going in different directions, knocking the first three or so Oathkeepers out of the way; but was promptly hit in her right shoulder by the next two. Never mind the protect part of the spell at that point - it could only defend against one hit, anyway. Trying to ignore the increasing pain in her upper body, Taffy took to blocking as many shots as possible, wheeling first in one direction and creating a large sweeping arc with her own weapon to knock away as many of the projectiles on that side as she could reach: she repeated the action with the Keyblade in her other hand. But as soon as she'd knocked those away, along would come the second wave; the first few would collide with either her shoulders or her arms before she could react in time. Taffy knew she couldn't just stand there and get hit for the duration of the combos: she was starting to get disoriented from the hits she'd been taking, not to mention taking plenty of damage. And if even one of those final Judgement shots got through - she'd fall to the ground faster than one could yell, "MEDIC!" But I CAN'T be in 12 places at once! I can barely be in one right now! Is it really over?...Am I gonna die here? Now? Everything's all blurry...and...waitaminnit...it may not work, but it's worth a shot... Taffy could have smacked her forehead for not thinking of this sooner, but she didn't have to. A stray Kingdom Key obliged. Staggering backwards, obviously punch drunk, Taffy wildly swung at many of the last few shots, trying to buy just a few precious seconds. She kept turning in the same direction - using her last few minutes of haste, she initiated another Tasmanian Spin, hoping to deflect the very last hits. Taffy then used most of her remaining energy to channel a Supersnow spell through her Keyblades, flinging out plenty of large, magic snowballs at high velocity as she spun around. Eat yer heart out, Tara Lipinski! |

| Shinji watched as Taffy blocked a fair number of the Keyblades, a lot more than he would have thought possible. As he and the clones launched the third-last wave of Keyblades, Oathkeeper appeared in his hand. He held it and waited for his Kingdom Key, but looked around as he heard the cries of clones being hit. Some of the clones had fallen to Taffy's new tactic, Supersnow. Cursing, Shinji pulled back the Oathkeeper with both hands and as his Kingdom Key reappeared in his hand, he threw them both at the same time with a cry of, "Judgement!" He noticed that out of the three standing clones, one had copied him, and the other two had thrown Oathkeeper and Kingdom Key as individual Judgements. |

| Taffy stopped spinning - VERY dizzy by now. Looking up just in time to see Shinji's Keyblades headed her way, she clumsily batted them away, lunging to the side as she did so, thus missing the other pair that had been thrown at the same time by sheer dumb luck - but still got hit by the ones that had been thrown later. She hit the ground roughly on her back, skidding a short distance. Her blades shined briefly as her own brand of healing spell took effect, but only partially. Taffy rubbed her forehead, but didn't make any effort to get up just yet. Her vision was slowly returning to normal. "....ow. Geeeeez...." |

| Finally Taffy got back on her feet, half-heartedly dusting herself off, though her movements were still a little stiff. "Now, THAT is definitely Strike Raid abuse. Aieee..." Looks like if I give this guy an inch, he'll take a whole mile. Can't let that happen again, then. If I didn't know any better, though, I'd swear this guy was actually trying to kill me... She folded her arms. "Excellently executed move, though. I'm curious, how long did it take you to master that?" |

Shinji dropped both his Keyblades and bowed to Taffy. "I resign." He then colapsed in a heap. Damn it, that took more out of me than expected. |

| "Huh? Hey, you all right?" Taffy whistled loudly at Calamity, who had been watching the whole fight from the safety of the control booth. He stepped outside, visibly confused. "Hey!" she waved, shouting. "Escort this guy to the hotel. Get him a good room, on my tab. And make sure it comes with decent room service!" Lowering her voice, she smiled and addressed Shinji himself. "Thank you. I feel like I gained some valuable experience from this duel. It was an honor...and a pleasure." With that, she began to walk away. "Now go rest up. Stay as long as you need, and don't worry about the cost." By this time, Calamity had reached the two. "Where are you going, Taffy?" he inquired, via hand-held sign. "...break room. Need water." She took a couple more steps, but cringed a bit, clutching a shoulder. It was still pretty red. Future bruising wasn't out of the question. "...on second thought...I'm gonna sit down here for a few minutes first." I may have survived, but barely. To be honest...I didn't think I would at all. I had to use almost every trick I knew and every ounce of my energy to get as far as I did. There's no shame in resignation today. You are still a formidable opponent. |
