| [OOC: The following is a challenge to anyone. Since the last DiEn open challenge went so well, we shall try it again, this time with a fresh crop of faces for you to fight. My primaries are busy in the tournament, after all. But first$ a recap of the rules... Since I have six fighters on the field, you will decide how this fight shall go. For example, if you bring one character to fight, you will fight one of mine. You bring two, I bring two, et cetra. Additionally, if there are any open fighters remaining, others may join in the same manner. We will fight one character to one character. Look at the previous DiEn Open Challenge Thread to get a better idea on how this works. Also, if you have any preference about which character you wish to fight. Otherwise, my characters will step up to the plate. Standard sim battle rules apply. Oh, and check the Profiles Thread for additional data on your opponents, if you wish. And now, on with the show!] The Place: AcmlmBoard Arena #8B The Time: 2:00 PM, EST A new battle notice has just been posted in the AcmlmBoard Arenas, advertising the "DiEn Open Challenge 2! Inquire at Arena #8B!" The fighters inside await thier challengers...though not peacefully. Krauser is leaning against the wall, juggling his bowie knife. Kankurou is leaning against his wrapped up puppet, while Nimue leans against nothing, waiting upright and patiently. Kankurou: "Why are we the only ones here? Where is Zabel's team?" Krauser: "What you SHOULD be asking is where our challengers are..." Nimue: "Relax. They will show up sooner or later." A dimensional hole rips in the middle of the arena, and out step the three other DiEns who would (hopefully) participate an the match: A dark elf, a blind red wizard, and a brown haired girl in blue carrying a massive gourd on her back. Krauser: "...You're late." Zabel: "Fashionably late, though." Jiraiya: "Hey, at least it wasn't me who had to tune his vio-" Kari: "WHOO! I'm psyched! Let's do this! Where are they?!?" Nimue: ".....They.....haven't arrived yet." Kari: "Aw, gee." Krauser: "Meh. Shouldn't be too much longer, anyway..." |

| OOC: You gotta love this guy Jarukoth, people. I'm in. Let's do this! I will be using 2 characters at once. You, Jarukoth, are familiar with them... "WHOA!" Before they know it, they are zapped inside the room. Korrachi and Amiachi, the two peacekeeper twins known as Team Gemini, find themselves in the arena with absolutely no clue how they got there. They look around at the faces, until they spot Kankurou... "YOU!" Korra exclaims. "Man... I met you at that weird dome! Could you possibly tell me what we're doing here? It's like, we were flying through space in our bubble and there was this weird light... Possibly a wormhole... But I mean, what are the odds of a random wormhole leading here? Of all possible places!" He pauses. "Uh, why are you all looking at us like we're insane?" Both Korra and Ami are 10 years old, and Ami never speaks on top of that. They're used to getting weird looks and remarks, but as of now they're too befuddled to complain. |

| Sion finds the advertisement posted on a tree near his home (Hidden Village of Sunlight) He immediatly decides that he could use the practice, so he sets off. The members of DiEn hear something strange in the distance, the sound is smilar to a powerful gust of wind. Just then Sion comes into view, he is running at in incredible pace however his body is concealed in a shell of dust. All the opponents know is that this guy is fast. | |||

| "A bounty report for multiple people?" Fenrir talked to the bar tender, who was also his informer. "Thats right, they are called DiEns, a strong bunch of people from what I know, you couldn't take them all alone. Anyways, the reward is $54,000 per head." Fenrir smiled. "And there's six?" "Yes, from what I know." "Good." Fenrir left the bar quietly, disappearing as soon as he got out. He arrived at the arena in a few seconds, watching at first, seeing what he was up against. Going head in would be stupid. |

| As thier opponents file in, the DiEn teams begin to size up and choose thier potential opponents... Krauser: "Korra and Ami...I remember you two kids..." Kankurou: "Yeah, I remember you guys too. I would have beaten them to a pulp if you hadn't stepped in, Krauser." Krauser: "Yeah, real likely, puppet boy." Nimue: "Cool it. You said these two fight together, right?" Krauser: "Yeah, they do." Nimue: "Perhaps I should fight them then. My ability seems better suited towards them anyway." Krauser: ".....Fair enough. You haven't had the pleasure of fighting them yet anyway..." Nimue pulls out her staff, and apparently looks ready to fight. ---------------------------------------------- Some dust lands in the eyes of Kankurou, as Sion rockets into the room. He angrily wipes his eyes off, and prepares to unwrap his puppet. Kankurou: "You..." Krauser: "Hold it. That's Sion, right? I've heard of him." Kankurou: "...your point?" Krauser: "If my sources are right, he knows a lot about the ability of people from your universe. This one's mine." Kankurou: "No friggin' way." Krauser doesn't respond. He simply enters a combat stance, his bowie drawn, staring Sion down. Kankurou: "........" ---------------------------------------------- Kari: "Come on! We can't let thier team have all the fun!" Kari has an excited look on her face. She's much more eager than Zabel or Jiraiya, so... Jiraiya: "....Oh, what the hell. Go crazy. Kari." Kari: "WHOOO!" ^__^ Kari dashes to meet Fenrir, while still putting some distance between them, of course. The plug on the gourd on her back suddenly pops off, as she calls to Fenrir... Kari: "I'm ready to begin! Let's do this!" |

"54 grand on your head, you have to be somewhat of a worthy fighter." Fenrir kept spining shooting several bullets at Kari, trying to test her speed first, he barely touched the ground when he started runing towards Kari, his gun still pointed straight out. *Thinking* "Damn, I wish I could have kept hidden and taken them out quickly instead of letting them fight on guard." |

| Nimue: "I am called Nimue, Former High Cleric of New Carpathia. Now, enough of the introductions. Let's begin, shall we?" "Aurora Ball!" A shining orb of energy began to form on the end of Nimue's staff. She extends the staf foreward, and fires the ball at the kids, waiting for thier reaction... ------------------------------------------------------- Suddenly, a giant wave of water erupts from the gourd on Kari's back, and quickly whirls around her body rather violently. The speed and pressure of the water manages to deflect the bullets. Once the shots stop flying, the water slows itself down, and ebbs and flows around Kari's legs, almost as if it was alive... Kari: "54 grand? Is that all they're paying? Well, let's raise the price then..." "Water Shark Missile!" The water swiftly forms into the shape of a great white shark. A second later, it rushes at Fenrir, it's sharp jaws bared and open. |

| "I hope you can move faster than that." Fenrir ran right towards the shark and with impossible speed, actually jumped past the shark and kept his run, again raising his gun right at Kari. "Lets see how you like these bullets." Fenrir snapped his gun open, bullets flying out and he snapped 7 more in place. A different type, piercing bullets. He kept running, firing all seven bullets in about a second. Showing his speed again. |

| As Sion draws closer he slows down and his appearance comes into view. A Shinobi of Sunlight is knelt before Krauser, his hair is long white as snow and it covers his face, his is skin is darkened from prolonged exposure to the sun, and is adorned with stange Tattoos of Suns on each of his Triceps. Krauser is confused seeing a Ninja that seems completly opposite of what a Ninja would normally be. He seems to have no weapons and his cloths consist of a thin black T Shirt, a Red vest with a large Sun Emblem on the back, black Cargo shorts and Sandels. His Shins and Hands are covered in white bandages not because of wounds, but as a form of protection from his own attacks. His last piece of gear is a forhead protector that bears the emblem of his village, the shining sun! Sion slowly raises from his croutched position and pulls his hair back into a tail. His pupils are yellow and they emit an eerie glow, Krauser can clearly see that Sion is anticipating an awesome battle. Sion: So you're my challenger? Ive traveled here from the Hidden Village of Sunlight as soon as I heard of your challenge. Lets Begin! The second Sion finished that sentence he seemingly vanished, that is until Krauser spotted him in mid air several feet above him. Sion: Ready? Here we go! | As the kick hits Krauser's ribs, he tries to slash at Sion's leg with his knife as he his knocked backward. Unware if he hit him or not, Krauser flips back up to his feet, and notices more of his opponent's attire. Krauser: "Yep. You're a ninja of THAT universe. No doubt about it." Kankurou: "Watch those bandages!" Krauser: "Shut UP!" Krauser quickly yanks a incendiary grenade, and heaves it at Sion. ---------------------------------------------------- The hail of bullets rips right through Kari, who then collapses to the ground, lifeless. Her body then...turns into water, and dissipates away? Kari: "Hah! Gotta love the old Water Clone trick!" "Flying Water Needles!" No sooner had Kari reappeared, when she begins forming attacks again. She taps her foot on the ground twice, and several needles spring up from the water around the two fighters. A second later, they launch themselves at Fenir. |

| Sion: *Its a good thing that slash missed, with the speed of my kick that could have done some serious damage* Sion quickly thinks of a way he can dodge the grenade but he doesnt have enough time. The grenade detonates point blank. Unaware of the true outcome Krauser waits for the smoke to clear. As it clears Krauser sees that although Sion has been blasted back he has no damage from the flames. Sion: Im sure your wondering why Im not burnt. | Sion's punch connects. Not quite with Krauser's skull, but with a type of makeshift shield coming out of his now hideously transformed left arm. It now looks huge and almost clawlike in shape. Krauser: "Heh. Didn't expect to activate Plagas - Level 1 so soon. Not bad." He leaps backward, putting some distance between him and Sion as closed his left arm into a spear shape. Krauser then rushes at Sion with his left arm outstretched almost as soon as his feet hit the ground. "Plagas Spear!" |

| "Former Cleric, you say?" Korra and Ami dash toward the sphere and frontflip right over it, perfectly in tandem, and continue their dash at Nimune. When in medium range, Korra then frontflips again over Nimune as Ami stops her dash and assumes a smooth hovering skill about a foot above the ground. The crystal in the center of her lavender helmet flashes once, and a white beam is fired deftly in Nimune's direction (for normal melee damage, though it is a ranged attack). Korra lands behind Nimune but doesn't attack. "You still got some skills, though. Care to tell us how you became 'former'? Just curious." |

| "Aurora Shield!" Nimue whirls her staff around in her hands while channeling holy energy through it, creating a light shield deflecting the beam. Since the pair of them have stopped for the moment, Nimue turns to Korra behind her. Nimue: "I am no longer officially a High Cleric, because I died. All candidates must die before becoming DiEn." Just then, Nimue offers a lunging kick at Korra. However, two additional legs appear alongside hers in mid kick! |

| "I see. You are worth much more than a simple sum." Fenrir looked at every single on of the water needles as they came towards him, trying to figure a way out of the attack. Although he had great speed and knew how to use it, he hadn't gotten hit often, and as such, isn't all that tough. Fenrir puts in a new type of bullet into his gun, he holds it straight above him. "You should like this." He fires, a burst of energy flies out from the gun in all direction, trying to block all the water needles. "You have to do better than that." |

[Hidden Mist] A thick, mistlike fog soon engulfs the part of the arena where Kari and Fenrir are fighting, dramatically reducing visibility for both of them... |

| Fenrir doesn't move, in fact he stops breathing. Extremely quietly he takes a few steps to the side, making no sound. He has to wait for Kari to do something first to find her. He can't fight blind against someone in their element. | |||

| Korra leaps up to avoid the kicks and comes down on Nimune with an aerial kick to the chest. If the attack were to hit, Korra would land in front of Nimune and backflip to get away. If the attack were to miss, Korra would land behind Nimune then frontflip to get away. "So you're an Undead! Interesting." After Korra's move, Ami fires again. Not a beam this time, but a trio of energy rings that travel in a straight line. Each ring is slightly less powerful than the beam, but the overall damage if they were ALL to hit would be greater. "...Or are you really?" |

| As Korra's kick comes down, an arm suddenly shoots out from Nimue's shoulder to block the kick, and knock it away. The arm tucks itself away again once the attack has been blocked. Nimue: Undead? Not at all. While we DiEns have experienced death in a physical sense, let's just say that our work isn't done yet... As Nimue sees the rings coming, she whirls he staff around once again to block... "Aurora Shield!" The first ring is deflected without too much trouble. The second ring's impact slows down and weakens the shield, the third breaks through the shield entirely and deals damage to Nimue. Nimue: "Oh, and there is only one "N" in my name..." The third arm suddenly comes back out brandishing an axe, which it quickly throws at Ami... ------------------------------------------------ "Mud Slide!" A large patch of mud forms near Fenrir's feet. A second later, the mud rushes at Fenrir's legs... Kari: "I don't mind getting my hands (or my opponents) dirty. |
