I prefere home made code, that way you know exectly what it does, and its easier to edit if the need arises.Plus I find it quite fun to make my own things, and it makes me feel good when they work properly . I do use a downloaded forum system however, since I pretty much lack the skill to make my own at the moment, but eventually I'd make to be able to make my own... |

Well, for websites, I make my own, like the HTML and graphics and stuff. As for php scripts like forums and tagboards though, I download already made ones, since I don't know PHP. I have a book on PHP but never took the time to read it all the way through yet. | |||

YEah... I have to agree with downloading forums... But for the tagboards case... It's more simple than you think... All you need are the basics... and you can set up a Tagboard with a bit of HTML and a PHP loop ... The only downside of the tagboard on my site is you can't keep track of I.P adresses... |
