Last night, (and it was frusterating), I started making a layout for myself. When I did my first preview, Gato did not display at all. It wouldn't be until I actually made the changes final did he display. And then, he wasn't where he should be. Well, after that, I tweaked the CSS a bit, and this happened: Afterwards, I would remove all aligning tags, and this problem would not go away at all. It wouldn't be until tonight that it was fixed. (Do notice that the layout isn't up yet, so let's stay on the real topic.)
Any ideas? (edited by Lenophis on 02-24-05 03:32 AM) |

Why did you specify a post background in the "post background" entry ? You can implement this into the main post header easily. As for the repeating: Try using tags like repeat: no repeat (this example using in background= tags) and maybe something like "center" too. This causes to not to stretch or repeat the CSS but as your post grows puts everything into the middle. Sure no perfect solution for very large posts, but at least it prevents the repeating stuff. I have no clue of CSS: Is there a way to avoid the < Maybe some code is blocked or don't work here. (edited by Lezard Valeth on 02-24-05 09:04 AM) |

... In background styling, 'repeat' controls the image tiling, not elements being duplicated. I'm pretty sure there is no CSS that will duplicate things like that. Therefore, this is indeed an error in the edit layout code, not Lenophis's CSS. Beyond that, I can't help. =D |

I've noticed that with AcmlmBoards, layouts with tables tend to screw up if the HTML isn't all on one line. Line breaks need to be replaced with < Also, don't use < |

NP. I think zero soul was the one who made us aware of this. It was awhile back, so I don't remember who to thank for the info. *shrugs* | |||

That's fine if you have a little CSS... Mine's 142 lines, to include that in the header would be messy. (Especially since you need to take out line breaks.) I've never really had a problem with just removing all line breaks and using < |
