Colleen, 'conspiracy theories' doesn't mean whatever the fuck you think it means. USING WORDS WRONG ISN'T COOL.

Connecting to previous game = game connecting to a storyline I like.

That = good.

I honestly don't care about the graphics, that would be last on my list. Cell shading didn't really bother me, though this new stuff looks refreshing.

Ocarina of Time > Majora's Mask > The Wind Waker > 2005 > Oracle of Ages/Seasons > The Minish Cap > A Link to the Past > Link's Awakening > Four Swords > The Legend of Zelda > Adventures of Link

That makes as much sense as possible, I think, if you try to connect them. One problem: Miyamoto already said they weren't all connected.

Conspiracy theory == theory about the existance of a secret plot by a group of individuals
That doesn't really describe a timeline theory by a singular Zelda fanboy who shares his theory like it will enlighten all of humanity.

Kyouji's timeline is good, I aprove.

I don't particularily care where the new game goes in the timeline, as long as it goes somewhere.

I was talking about all the theories that you can find on any given message board, not the theory of one specific person. Sheesh.

I have a theory.

The new land WW-Link went out to discover has been found however its overrun with demons and stuff so WW-Link now grown has to single handedly purge the land of evil.

-Or-

WW-Link found the land and its been inhabitated, therefore this games is YEAR ahead of WW and demons and stuff have attacked it. So its this new Links job to defend the new land.

Even if these theories are 100% wrong one thing is certain. This new Zelda will rule us all....WITH AN IRON FIST OF DOOM!!!!!!

"It's going to be very, very beautiful"

I wanna BET that that'll steal the gameplay. Just a bit of it. Also, I don't see any connection between Link's Awakening, Oracle Series and the others.

I concur.

Look at Prime 1 and 2, amazingly beautiful GC games, that still retain an excellent level of gameplay.

OoT itself was great looking for it's time, and also had great gameplay.

There are "some" games that actually do both look good and play well.

I must point out this isn't really new news. This has been speculated ever since they said the next Zelda game would be the 'sequel' to Wind Waker.

There's nothing surprising about this. Many Zelda games often are direct sequels and make no qualms about it.

The Legend of Zelda and The Adventure of Link, A Link to the Past and Link's Awakening (not specifically stated but there are plenty of reasons to suggest this is so), Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, and the whole Four Swords (and Minish Cap) series.

As for the order of these groups of games well, that's much more of an issue and I won't go into it until I've completed the newer games.

But for the games I know...

Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, A Link to the Past, Link's Awakening, Oracle series (seems most likely), The Legend of Zelda, The Adventure of Link.

The timeline isn't vital to the Zelda series at all.

yup, that's what makes it successful and why there isn't a 7th rocky movie

as for Fyxe's order, where would windwaker fit in all this? Since I've beaten the game, it would have to go to the end because the game looks to the past for salvation.

Ocarina of Time is the first in the timeline, even before Zelda 1. Whoo, lets talk about the storyline again....not.

This new Zelda will be awesome. I am looking forward to fighting on horseback.

Just to explain my basis for that, link meets Zelda. They have no idea who each other are. In the other ones (except WW) they already know each other.

There are multiple Links.

And how do you know they don't know each other?

Oh, there's perfect sense in arguing if your theory is rubbish. ^-^

Here's a list of games where Link doesn't know Zelda (or, more accurately, where Zelda doesn't know Link).

The Legend of Zelda, A Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker, and the Oracle games.

That means there's at LEAST five Links right there. There's plenty of other reasons that show there can't be more Links, like the fact that it would require Link living CENTURIES, having the convenient ability to forget things and for other characters like Ganon to forget him.

EDIT: However, there is ALOT of basis to say Ocarina of Time is the first Zelda game. I won't go into loads of detail, but I will say one, clear, simple thing... The creators, and I don't mean Miyamoto who doesn't even think about the timeline most of the time and tends to be misquoted, but the game designers themselves SAID it was intended to be a prequel to ALttP showing the whole Imprisoning War.

Plus it shows Ganon's backstory, without that no other games could really happen.

Yes, but your theory is wrong, no matter what you say. Shiggy knows better.

I find it funny how all of the Zelda threads turn into storyline arguments. xD

Who's to say that ALttP was first? ;D It could have come later after TWW, because they went to build a new Hyrule at the end. And we know that TWW wasn't the last game in the timeline.
