General info: Tiles can and probably will be misaligned. Hold down the Control key and press the left/right arrow keys to shift around until the tiles line up right. TLP cannot and does not know the proper color palette. ZSNES savestates can be imported where needed. Addendum: You can also see the code and non-graphics data, but TLP assumes it's graphics, resulting in a garbled static-like mess. The graphics are in there, though. SMW Specific: Most if not all graphics in SMW are in a non-default format. You might want to try using Lunar Magic to extract all the graphics to an AllGFX.BIN file. Said BIN file will default to 1-bit-per-pixel format when opened in TLP. Set it back to SNES mode yourself. (edited by Kawa-oneechan on 02-22-05 04:38 AM) |

O_o Ever thought about making your own games for a living? I tried the CTRL trick, but It was weird........ The tiles seemed to go up through the boxes....... Like they are undefined..... Aww, heck. I'll just use Lunar Magic's. It's easier.......... But here's the problem, though.... Two actually. It doesn't save changes in sprites when I edit them! I teird THE WORKS! (happy, sunny chargin' chuck and other funny things) But I Extract, change, save, and insert.... It doesn't work for me. Problem #2 is bigger, possibly so big..... My .bin files were looking like papers with the microsoft logo on them.... I clicked on it..... Then I said open it with Lunar Magic, now it's a paper with the happy moon on it! I wonder if it'll still work....... Uh, nice avvy! It looks like she's about to back-hand someone! | |||

Originally posted by Master M Um, all you did was change the program that .bin files were associated with, when you double-click on them in explorer. It shouldn't affect any other programs using them. |

When you open a ROM in TLP it shows everything as graphics, even if that's not what they're supposed to be (it can't tell the difference, just a bunch of bytes), so you'll see a lot of garbage. You have to scroll around and find the graphics. In SMW's case, they're compressed, so TLP can't read them. You need to open LM and click Extract GFX, then open the .bin files in TLP. When you open .bin files it defaults to 1BPP mode, so go to View -> Format -> SNES to see them properly. (Also, unless you choose Use Joined GFX Files in LM, you need to resize the graphics window in TLP to the smallest height you can before you change it to SNES mode, or else it won't work because of a bug. ) |
