Jathys recommended this tile editor to me a while back and I use it sometimes since it's generally more stable than TLP and I find it a bit more usable than YY-Chr
However.... it fucks up 4bpp SNES mode graphics. I even confirmed from several different sources that it doesn't decode the data properly. What gives? (edit: come to think of it, the name of the utility is pretty ironic in this light) ____________________ Zelda Hacking Forum hobbies: delectatio morosa |

I've used about three different ones. I didn't have a problem with any of them really. Just pick one (freeware) ____________________ Zelda Hacking Forum hobbies: delectatio morosa |

Actually making progress, imagine that. Objects will be coming soon, they take a while to code. This is Ganon's room (room0) to those who don't recognize it. ____________________ Zelda Hacking Forum hobbies: delectatio morosa |

Hows the overworld editing side of things coming along?
I haven't started on it, but from the look of it it's a lot easier. (no objects to worry about) ____________________ Zelda Hacking Forum hobbies: delectatio morosa |

You mean like a browser? And you hit a back button to go back to what you were doing?
I think a right click menu with (go to this entrance) on the overworld would be good. ____________________ Zelda Hacking Forum hobbies: delectatio morosa |

This is probably the most displayable room at the moment. There are many many objects to code for and perhaps I'm not doing it the most efficient way, but it has to be done. I would not wish it upon anyone. I'm lookin forward to doing things that are fun with the editor after this. Two levels rooms are problematic until I implement priority drawing. Notice the red pixels in the blueish purple tiles. This is transparency, I have a red backdrop drawn in by default so I can see which tiles are tranparent and which aren't. I'm also not drawing BG0 ( though I could easily ). In case anyone was wondering. ____________________ Zelda Hacking Forum hobbies: delectatio morosa |

Posted by Dwedit And how does that make it the "coolest" rom hack? If anything this is something I find bordering on the mundane. Sure it might have taken a lot of work but when I see rom hacks i want to see something new usually. ____________________ Zelda Hacking Forum hobbies: delectatio morosa |

You're supposed to focus on the "give me money" part
But the picture is from one of my favorite webcomics, http://www.untitledgif.org so it makes very little sense even in the context of the comic b/c it's a ridiculous comic. ____________________ Zelda Hacking Forum hobbies: delectatio morosa |

Maybe the newer versions of the Java VM broke Tile Molester? See if you can install an older version, maybe that will fix the problem. Tile Molester is fairly old for a java app. ____________________ Zelda Hacking Forum hobbies: delectatio morosa |

I hear about it happening way more in the workplace. There were 3 office shootings in the past month that I can think of in the news. It's just when it's a school and it's big it gets a lot of attention for some reason. Schools also have laxer security.
And I don't really want a gun, b/c there's only a million percentage chance I'd ever need it. They're too dangerous to be taken lightly. But in a situation like this where some nutcase has a shotgun, what can you really do? ____________________ Zelda Hacking Forum hobbies: delectatio morosa |

Posted by Mystery Gourmet I'm guessing nobody wanted to "reach him." Would you want to? (And by that I meant the people in his classes and professors, not counselors, which he was required to see.) ____________________ Zelda Hacking Forum hobbies: delectatio morosa |

The only time I lol'ed hard was when he died on the goomba in 1-2. Like... how are you going to be so good at avoiding all these traps and obstacles and die on a fricken goomba? ____________________ Zelda Hacking Forum hobbies: delectatio morosa |

If your brakes are failing, chances are your emergency brake is out too. My friend had the same problem. ____________________ Zelda Hacking Forum hobbies: delectatio morosa |

I'd be interested in running something like Ubuntu, but I'm curious as to what the limitations are. I.e. would my NIC run with it, would my external Hard Drive work with it, CD burner, etc. These are the main reservations I have about installing linux. A friend of mine has said that either Ubuntu or... something other popular distro had fairly good hardware support. ____________________ Zelda Hacking Forum hobbies: delectatio morosa |
