There isn't enough text changed in Shards of Might to know where to go next usually. You just gotta look around and use all the items available to you to get to the next dungeon, much like the original. Iirc there's a dungeon that is just a boss fight with Mothula right near Sanctuary. The next actual dungeon after the first one is in the forest. Don't bother looking for anyone in particular, the NPCs have not been changed much, if at all. The main purpose of seeing Sahashrala in the original game was to get the Pegasus boots and get some map markings, but I'm pretty sure the map markings have not been changed for this hack yet. ____________________ Zelda Hacking Forum hobbies: delectatio morosa |

You know, there's a
Spoiler: tag.
this is a spoiler! Anyways. Spoiler: There's a dungeon in the woods that has both staffs in it. Also, how did you beat the dungeon with the Ape statues outside? I figured I had to use the cane of somaria to get to the boss but apparently you found another way? I don't remember checking if there was a statue in that room to put on the trigger. I ended up using a PAR code to force the door up b/c I was sick of trying to figure out a legit way to do it. ____________________ Zelda Hacking Forum hobbies: delectatio morosa |

Have you noticed that you have not posted any screenshots? Generally speaking it is one of the best ways to generate interest in a project. I believe it's even in the rules that you're supposed to post screenshots for projects in this forum. Color me unsurprised that no one's really responded about it yet.
Myself, I just don't care b/c I don't really like the NES Contra. Maybe if it was a Contra 3 or Contra 4 hack. ____________________ Zelda Hacking Forum hobbies: delectatio morosa |

This is a tool for loading SPC files and dicking around with their samples. Generally speaking you load an SPC file, halt the CPU, stop all channels from playing, then run hog wild messing with the different settings. Since this is a fairly simple tool I should be making a release relatively soon. ____________________ Zelda Hacking Forum hobbies: delectatio morosa |

I'm pretty sure that Mono doesn't support P/Invoke, so if you used a DLL..... well.... poop. ____________________ Zelda Hacking Forum hobbies: delectatio morosa |

In most cases it's not encryption, it's compression. If you removed the compression, the graphics would take up a lot more space in the rom. I'm going to wager in a typical case that it will take up 60% more space in the rom. I did a rough calculation on Zelda: A Link to the Past once and found that I'd need almost another half a megabyte to store all the graphics in an uncompressed state. When you look at a typical limit of 4 MB and 6 MB in rarer cases for a rom, you can see why they compressed the data. Also, if you compress the graphics you have the ability to use smaller and less EPROM chips, which were expensive at the time. ____________________ Zelda Hacking Forum hobbies: delectatio morosa |

It's a bug. I've fixed it in a later version, but not in the one posted here. ____________________ Zelda Hacking Forum hobbies: delectatio morosa |

Posted by TomguyPosted by MathOnNapkins So I shouldn't say anything about POWER ABUSE? In any case, you know I'm just kidding around, I don't think you're gay. At least you've not yet given cause for such suspicions. ____________________ Zelda Hacking Forum hobbies: delectatio morosa |
