Sorry I couldn't quite understand your post, what exactly did you change?

That's what happen if you ask questions TOO quickly before reading either my post or my software document.

Your first post in this thread barely resembles English. Why would anyone think your "software document" would be any better?

Also ditto what Sliv said.

So you basically hacked a handful of ASCII strings and then renamed the utility after yourself? That's beyond fucking pathetic, even for you.

There is the original Japanese version called Item SMB2 by SMB Software based on the same fanatics as ISD Util so I renamed the utility after myself because I modified the ENGLISH version. I could name it something else like Item SMB2 International or something. But since I researched SMB2 Japanese databases, I have to name the utility after myself. Just like Acmlm's SMB2 Discombobulator.

How much of this utility did you write / design yourself? 0.001%? That doesn't give you the right to name the software after yourself. (In spirit, anyway, if it's public domain then it's not really an issue other than looking like an ass.)

Seriously, this is nothing like Acmlm's situation. Acmlm *wrote* the SMB2 discombobulator all by himself. He didn't take someone else's hard work and slap his name onto it as you've seemingly done.

Maybe www.romhacking.net can help you. There's some people that have been working on PS2 hacks, though it's only like one or two. With the emulation being still fairly primitive I can imagine it's pretty annoying to do.

I think it would be efficient to drop the N-Bombs on Officer's Club altogether. Even back when it was active, it wasn't used for much more than trolling.

Not by my recollection. It was fairly well moderated when I first started coming to Acmlm's board. AB seemed more like a community back then and many posters seemed comfortable bringing their real world problems to the Officer's Club to ask for advice. At some point moderation on it got lax + the board lost a lot of active users. Btw, I assume that you mean Neutron bomb b/c N-bomb more casually refers to the N-word (racial slur).

Stupid question, as I'm out of touch with the ROM hacking community: has some kind of replacement for Lunar Compress showed up at all lately?
I'm asking because I was considering reusing our compression/decompression code of Epic Edit to make an open-source alternative to Lunar Compress (but which would only support one type of compression for now)... and which would actually have a GUI, so no command line needed.

Disch has created a small compression library for a handful of games that works very well. I was able to adapt it to Link to the Past with minimal hassle. I guess it would depend upon the nature of the compression, but if it's SMK, that means it's likely to have a similar format since it's Nintendo first party.

The library is in C++ and it performs pretty well, achieving better compression than the original games in most cases. But you'll likely have to configure a new .cpp file (and class) for use with SMK.

I can also upload my modified version of the library if you want.

http://disch.arc-nova.org/compresch_rel2.zip <- the latest version that Disch has released, but does not include my changes.

Protip: A Whopper Jr. is no different from a normal Burger King cheeseburger except it has more condiments. BK had the Angus Steakburger until recently, and I considered that a pretty high quality burger for a fast food restaurant. They got rid of it and replaced it with the "steakhouse burger" but as far as I can taste it's just a whopper with special seasoning on the pattie. Effin' lame.

The general consensus in Indiana is that Michigan drivers are godawful. I don't know how they feel about us Hoosiers but being that I'm on the frontlines (5 miles from Michigan) I see a lot of terrible driving when I'm in Michigan and it only gets worse the farther north I go. I guess you could call that a rivalry.

BL: why do you need elementary anakysis? You're not a math major are you?

Just wondering, b/c that stuff is pretty much bread and butter of mathematics people but I can't see anybody else needing it, save maybe a physics major.

Stifu: that's pretty much the same thing I do in C/C++ for Black Magic. Given our target applications there's really only a couple obvious ways of getting it to work. Though, since the SNES has a background color it would be nice to get some mileage out of WM_ERASEBKGND / OnPaintBackground(), I just haven't thought of a way yet...

Sivak is on #rom-hacking somewhat frequently. He does homebrew mostly from what I can tell.
