Mass-disconnectors are lame. Awarded a 300 vs point penalty for "disconnecting", since the whole group quit just after the end of the race. Nasty stain on my record for losses, adding 11 for it. Worldwide sucks right now, disconnectors with high ratings: *** ranked player using Dry Bowser quit after I beat him.

Continental is nicer to play in, no disconnectors so far. :/

I kinda want to increase rank, but I'm more willing to play friends..

Is it possible to play a one vs. one vs. one vs. one like in the N64 version or is Online Battle Mode limited to team battles?

All battles are team.

Wait, what?

That's awful!

I don't understand the thinking that made Team Battle forced. What about 3p? ;

I was forced to fight a 2 vs 1 Wi-Fi match once - 1 being me. I still won.

I assume team battle is because there'd be 12 way matches which would be chaos. >>

So far ranked at two stars, some 8k points.
Kinda taking a break, but I'll play by request. Also, it'd be nice to know who adds me. PM or this thread.

Also, why can red shells penetrate fake blocks and bananas?

They just discard a banana and itself.

Everything goes through a fake item box, to make it seem more like.. an item box, you know what I'm saying?

The tracks you have to watch out for are:

GBA Shy Guy Beach
Luigi Circuit
Moo Moo Meadows
GCN Peach Beach
N64 Mario Raceway.

Those are the ones where the other players will catch up to and spam you with blue shells before the finish line.

Why's Coconut mall not included there? Aka. The "OMG HE HAS STARS HIT HIM!" track spammed for hours. Also, Luigi circuit is piece of frigging cake. I won the track with at least ten seconds over 2nd place on Wi-Fi. >>

Also, Wi-Fi is very dependant on the group. Some, even if you win, you are guaranteed to lose points.

N64 DK Jungle Parkway is mostly a bitch when going across the river for me, since most of the tight drifting bikes and karts overtake there.

Those escalators moved too fast and you couldn't drive up the down escalator without waiting a half an hour.

Well, while I hate the course.. Hit the down escalator doing a wheelie from a mushroom. You'll bounce over it, seriously. XD

Grumble Volcano Shortcut Glitch

Anybody else see this... it's kind of sickening. To say the least.

You don't have to worry in Wi-Fi too much. The chance of getting there before it rumbles is slim. I'll see the time when it rumbles some point, which renders it useless, being unable to move, or move slower.

Rumbles: 53 seconds
Collapses: 1 minute, 5 seconds

Roughly

RSE took the path of "Three new starters! Guess what types they are? Now choose mudkip and listen to some god-awful music on your journey through an oddly shaped region. Hey, look! A bizarre new superteam of villains that want to control the weather!, Go beat them up, rayquaza!"
Haha, I probably wasn't the only one who thought the musical score of RSE was... weak.

I didn't like RSE of all games. I still think FrLg were the saviours of the 3rd generation.

493 Pokémon to capture in DP? No problem. I'm heading towards that at a fair pace. That GTS is what was needed to even get close.

Ice, Fighting, Flying.
Psychic, Dark, Fighting.
Dragon, Dragon, Dragon.
Ghost, Ghost, Ghost.
Steel, Rock, Fire.

Just a few ideas.

Steel, Rock, Fire. --> Fire > Steel, Rock > Fire, Steel > None
Invalid

I see you've not done your homework.

Steel type moves are super effective on Rock and Ice types.
Steel moves are terrible against water, fire, electric and steel.

So Steel > Rock.
Argue all you like, but it's true.

Electric/Ground/Water --> Electric > Water > Ground > Electric
Valid
Suggested Pokes: Elekid (Electric), Azurill (Water), Geodude (Ground/Rock)

Azurill is a Normal type Pokémon.

Posted by Skreeny
That said, I would love to see a Poison, Grass, Ground trio, but unfortunately those types don't really have the Pokemon to make it work out without having a second type that either overlaps one of the others or completely wrecks the rock-paper-scissors style.

Poison: Nidoran, Nidorina/Nidorino, Nidoqueen/Nidoking.
Grass: Hoppip, Skiploom, Jumpluff.
Ground: Phanpy, Donphan.

Ground is a type that doesn't resist itself, so Nidoking and Nidoqueen are fine.
Hoppip and family is Grass/Flying. Flying has no real bonus other than immunity to ground, but a fair few ground types learn rock-type moves anyway. I made sure to pick ground with rollout here.

Where's the option of "Summer? Augh Too wet!" in there?

It's raining every third day so far, so it should rain tomorrow.

bh, why do you have all these random images...?

To find an excuse not to do something due to having 2 MB HD space left.

I think that answers for him.

Actually, I could put in NPC trades... Did you know that there's a special command in the original games that plays the trading cutscene and swaps two pre-chosen entries in the party data? I found it just after beating Misty and got her Staryu

Anyway, keep at it.

Maybe you could have some sort of held item that allows the pokemon to evolve into trade-only evolutions without the trading. But then there's the problem of pokemon evolving while being traded with a held item.

I call the Pokémon XD method. Sun and Moon Shards, which if in the bag, evolve the Pokémon and use them-self up. Must be the bag. Basically, those shards allowed Espeon and Umbreon respectively, if all other criteria is met. So say you level up an Onix holding a Metal Coat, and in your bag is something.. say a Trade Stone for being simple, Onix will begin it's evolution to Steelix, and use up the Trade Stone in the process. But B-Button cancel it, and the stone is still there.

But they're on the kafuka server, not his HD, so that can't be it...

You'll be surprised. Y'know. He keeps "backups"?

Also Gywall you always vote Trapster in the fail categories. Hasn't it been proven that you've been wrong every time except once?

He was the first applicant that came to mind for each. Trapster doesn't know the difference between an on topic quest and an off-topic question when he's throwing a tantrum, which isn't exactly showing him to be smart.
