This is a hack which aims to make the Batman for NES game much easier and beatable then it originally was. I found the original to be very fun, yet difficult to beat. With this hack it's much more possible to beat the game in one set of lives.

I edited most of the levels (including boss levels) to make them easier and have some alternate shortcuts to them rather than having to always progress through the levels on a set path. I also removed several traps and added platforms to help avoid them. Enemy health has also been adjusted to make them easier to defeat. Some bosses it is more noticable, especially the final 2 bosses where I felt the battles were too difficult. Joker takes only a few hits to defeat, as he does in the movie. I also increased the amount of weapon ammo you get from powerups and also the health given by health powerups.

Batmans in-game pallette was changed to grey to more closely mirror his outfit in the movie. I also opened up a few walls which lead to unused rooms. This don't really make the game easier, but I did it to satsify my own curious interests.

I made this hack with that new batdance utility.

From what I remember I used the same pallette as MCB's hack. Oya, and can someone move this thread to Rom hackng related release forum? I was also informed that the grey batman pallette wasn't incorperated into the hack so that will be on another revision which will be in a day or two.

So, since you know so much about F-zero 1, can you open up those bs F-zeros and maybe see what their track layouts are supposed to loook like? Only one of the bs f-zeros is actually playable. I'm curious what those other tracks would look like.

This is an exciting editor, didn't try it, but exciting it exists. You really do need to add a path editor to the program tho otherwise you'll wind up with broken hacks like those Super Mario Kart hacks.

Yes, I realized this. Kudos to making another editor, what's next? Enemy editing on Batman NES, or a whole new editor?

I submitted Super Mario Evolution true to romhacking.net. But 2 wasnt out then. And there was some other evolution hack, but I couldnt figure out how to beat it even with game genie codes so I didnt submit it.

You should upload those patches you got somewhere. Or put the more noteworthy ones on romhacking.net.

That must be a real testament to the games graphics if he thinks its a DS game. I think those are like, screen captures of polygonal graphics that are converted to sprites. Which gives it its 3d Look. I seen some proto graphics of it when it was a gamecube game, and it was hand drawn sprites then, and it had a level editor. I guesss what you see here are some leftovers.

I dunno, crystal chronicles was pretty sweet. YOu can use your menu and not intterupt other players. That was the problem with secret of mana. The menu interupts the action.

I don't know what version of Mario VS Airman this is, but this is the ips patch. It works in my fceuxd emulator so its probably the first revision.

http://www.geocities.com/deespence2929/MarioVSAirman.zip

I don't think there will be any more revisions of this so you might as well put it up on RHDN cause it's obvious it's meant as a 1 level hack. The japanese do that quite a bit.

That is pretty cool what you plan to do with this game. Also, in responce to optomon, you should join him instead. At least help him throw in a castlevania tune to really make this castlevania. Maybe vampire killer on one of the levels. One or two music changes would be cool.

I don't think you need to change every tune, just throw in enough castlevania tunes to make it feel like this is a castelvania game.

Unless Optomon really has that much time on his hands. Otherwise just a couple songs I think would be good enough. And you need at least one classic castlevania tune. DS tunes wont be easily recognizable to people that stopped playing after SOTN.
