Hi, to those of you that don't know me from here or the now-dead SMWCentral, I'm Knight of Time, I've been in the SMW hacking business for about 4 years now, and I'm also working on my own hack at this time, which is up to its fifth world. In a nutshell, I'm hoping this is the year I finally complete it.
As usual, I'll be around the SMW hacking forum. |

Posted by S.N.N. Yeah, I definitely have to agree with you there, I had my wisdom teeth out in November of 2006, they came out easily thankfully, but the bleeding afterward was painful to stop, that it even disgusted me at one point when I coughed out some blood that had turned brown and sticky, definitely one of the worst things that can happen when you get your wisdom teeth out. 'shudders thinking about that dreaded moment' Lucky for me that was the last time I had a real cavity, I've had plenty in the past, but this one really hit hard to find out about, the first time. Anyway, for future advice to anyone who has to go through this scary procedure, just endure it as best as you can, the pain does pass with time. |

What I got was...
-A stainless steel Ottawa Sanators watch -An Ottawa Senators mug (about the size of your average beer mug) -Looney Tunes: Back In Action DVD -A Samsung VR350 DVD/VCR recorder combo (this thing rocks for anyone that likes to record their favourite shows; you can record to either format (for DVDs, you have to use a DVD-R/RW/RAM, the "+" versions of each can't be used with this device), watch your own recorded DVDs on a computer after finalizing them (which basically is, putting a sort of protection on the disc so that, one, the contents can't be accidently deleted, and two, nothing else can be recorded on the disc unless it's unfinalized),and probably the best part of this thing, you can convert from VHS to DVD and vice versa. -a few hockey books -various clothing, and some treats One of the best gifts besides these was a 1000 piece puzzle, still working on it though, but it's a nice winter scene. |

Well, I'm just dandy (mainly).
Other than the work I'm doing on my hack, I've been patiently waiting for a 500 GB, 7200 RPM external hard drive from LaCie to come to my door, which was ordered from the Dell Canada website about a month ago now, the wait for it has been a bit frustrating on my part, just because this is the last weekday I'm home before I go back to college to resume my second year studies of a two-year retail program, so now, I have to get through at least one college day this month before my big gift (kinda a late Christmas gift, I guess) arrives, but oh well, patience is a virtue afterall. |

Well, I just joined, hopefully I might see a few more fellow SMW hackers on there.
I mean, when you (re-)join a board with many different areas, sometimes the area you like most tends to be one with fewer regulars than others, but meh, a board is a board. |

Definitely deaf, if I was blind, I wouldn't be able to complete my hack either, so blindness is definitely the worse of the two, then again, I do like to listen to music, so that would definitely be a bummer if I was deaf and unable to hear it. |

Okay, this is the second time I've had this problem in my hack, so...
I recently began making a frozen ghost house in my hack several days ago (just mainly changing the palettes of most of the major wooden tiles used, just so it would look iced), and in one of the rooms in my hack, I came across a problem with palette 8 (the one that is normally used for the player), in some hacks I've seen sprites that normally use this palette (like the falling spike sprite) use a different palette, like in Mario's Lost World (by Icegoom), my question is, how do you change the palette of a single tile that uses palette 8, without changing the player's palette? Reason I'm asking is, in that room in my frozen ghost house I described above, I am planning to use an eating block sprite in a way so that certain platforms get shorter and eventually disappear when you jump on them, forcing you to get across them as quickly as possible. I'll try and get a SS in later, if anyone needs to see one of this area. |

Yes, I am aware Tweaker can change sprite palettes, but as I recall, I don't think it can be used to change the palette of sprites that use palette 8.
Still, thanks darklink, I'll check out the rom map, see if that helps, if not, I might as well make this idea useful in another level. |
